Can you Guess what it is yet ?? DVR identification required
tomcctv replied to Dannyhawkeye's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. With a power cut I would look at your camera power supply first. As far as firmware update ..... I would hold off from doing that just now as that unit will need two updates .........you will damage it not going first update then second update ..... And the software HAS to be PAL -
Bar ??? If and it's a BIG if,..... It might be possible but only by a special company. And just for them to try you are looking at. Big money And you pay if it can be done or not. You have to understand you are looking at footage from 5 years ago. That makes the system at the least 5 years old or by know it could be 10 years. The make and age and what format will also be a big problem But what you are not understanding is a hard drive has a life limit and are replaced. Or in Manchester police used to take hard drive out of a dvr and insert a clean drive. There is two other options you could try. .... But PM me and I'll give you those options

You can find that type of connector anywhere ....... But if you need one quick Take a look in your photo ....... In parts bag Top right of image

Hi in your pm -
They will just tell you anything .......... It is pointless them going into detail with you. A monitoring station ........ Will never talk about there system. But again 5 years ago ........ In the uk the recorder then would not be getting used now. Ilk ...... Installs and designs council systems and public space and he has been doing it for years just the same as us. Even to the point if you give area either of us can tell you when a new system was installed and .......if it is in council control. (Which most are not now)

switching from analog to ip
tomcctv replied to austin38's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. If your looking at both and analog then a hybrid is best plus no extra costs A 32 way would give you 16 channels for your existing cameras and 16 channels for 16 x upto 5mp on each channel and 16 channels for pos and stock and till control all licence free Looking at build your own is do you want to install and leave or spend time getting system to run as you need -

WOW ...... It was 2009 it's law not to hold information that long You could question why if you like ... You need to go court and make a subject request that will cost you money. Other reasons why the data is pointless to you ........ It is to old to use anyway ........ Is it something legal you need .... Old case ??? If it something you need to use again in court ........ It is to old it can not be used in a uk court Another regulation apart from storage ........ Is images used have to be fit for purpose ....... 2009 I should think not

Reset DVR password to Factory default
tomcctv replied to ff17195757's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi your system is a TVT unit from china And the password is 123456 ...... If this is not working then you might try the roomate option Connect dvr to home network and from IE call it up with its local ip which is http://192.168.1.100 And use admin and admin as user and password . Once in create another admin account under manage in menu ..... Once that is done then go back to dvr log in with your new account and delete all old ones. If admin has been changed then only option in email to TVT with ser number but they do charge. -
No even just by the date footage would not be available to you. And as far as digitally removed ..... 2009 either means no hard drive (as 5 years old) but more likely it's not the same system. Sound like you have done a public request for this footage 30 days is max in the uk for public space. But footage from 5 years could not be used for anything now

tomcctv replied to hiwatt's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi the link I sent is dahua don't go for something that look like it An 8 way dahua with 1tb hard drive for that price which is well under your budget. If your mum thinks a JPEG 2000 is easy to use then the dahua is going to be easy Unplug your 2000 plug in dahua done Full Internet on pc phones pads ....... If you look cheaper then your just buying junk -

tomcctv replied to hiwatt's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Yes best changing from JPEG unit Links you are posting are none brand and you will get no support at all I have sent a link to your pm ..... And it's £50 cheaper than the units you have posted but they are dahua units. Also in the uk you do have guidelines to follow for a business system which covers you with a dahua. If you want to upgrade later then hybrid will also work for you .... Using your existing cameras and add ip later ... They start at £300 -

tomcctv replied to hiwatt's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi £116 then take price of hard drive off that's £30 for a dvr ..... So don't expect it to work and don't expect to be able to use footage in a uk court What is your budget ..... That's the best way to help you. Also your ebay link ........ Just because it says uk don't believe the seller is ......... Have a read in negative and I would say that is from china
