I would go .....camera then switch and NVR to switch . Leave out built in ports all together. Yes you can just temp connect cameras for doing camera adjustment and then reconnect to built in ports ....... But why limit yourself.

Hi. if you run camera into switch first them manual set in NVR then you will have both options. this is the problem with using built in POE ports

traffic land DC ..... its free. also multi users using a PTZ ...... all you will get is a fight on which way camera goes

Hi. price is not bad. the software on the DVR is standard but it will work and give you other options when you control from a PC with the latest PSS software. also the remote cell software has just had an update so I think it has everything you need.

Hi. it is 100% a dahua. upgrading firmware on that model is not that simple. you can only use region settings. NTSC to NTSC or PAL to PAL you cant go NTSC to PAL or other way. is there a reason to upgrade ??

Hi. I don't think you need to do anything with your lens ..... 5mp camera should pick up plates no problem. Your problem is mounting camera behind class ........ In every one of your pictures you are also getting image of counter. Overlay on your image. Plus you can't get 100% focus though a window. Befor you spend Any more money try mounting your camera outside.

Yes it's your problem .... Dvr software on first start up will go and look for installed hard drive. Most dvrs will have a HD limit or size range. Your case it's should be 3.5 sata drive from 250 ... Upwards 1tb. 2.5 sata 40 will not work

your hard drive is too small that's all your problem is. sounds like second hand ssd drive from laptop

it is best to use a standard hard drive WD will do you 500 usb needs your unit to have a working hard drive usb = backup from hard drive
