tomcctv replied to QC444's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi . its not the hard drive thats the problem....... older units like the TVT will not support green or low RPM drives. if the software is writen for 7200 rpm then green IntelliPower will have problems. newer DVR/NVR will now run both 7200 5800 but only if DVR manufacturer recommends it. newegg ebay amazon can print what they like but they know nothing of the unit its being installed into -

WiFi or Wired? + General
tomcctv replied to scottl31's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi .. Only problem with the avtech is the wireless in a office environment , You will have problems with wireless printers and other equipment. Plus audio to talk to intruder .......with the avtech he will see it once heard and just put it in his pocket along with your footage. Take a look at the axis 360 good priced camera for a office location Or even the new Sony range two cameras in one -

More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
tomcctv replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Dexterash.........please read posts ok....YOU left post saying 16 only does 8@D1 I put you right......then you post the same as what I said it could do. And give me crap. As far as finding a ip with that frame rate ......remember it can't run on the dahua anyway. You can count camera support on 1 hand -
best off understanding the avr ip list. if your saying use dahua why ????? change all his system just to run a budget camera so change his PC (that runs upto 48mp) for a limited dvr. axis...mobotix..... sony ...pano......cnb are all good ip .....or avers own if the op has a aver lets help him ........but please since dahua DOES NOT WORK ON ANY other nvr besides its own

More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
tomcctv replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
ok so xx stands for alarms ??????? nvr3204 means no alarm but for channel ???? lets take the spec of the nvr3204 or 08 or 16 there all the same 400/480fps@D1, 200/240fps@720P , 100/120fps@1080P your saying at D1 the 4 way will do 480fps in total. dahua only print the best spec alway of the 16 way hence 480 over 16 = 30fps (which is right) -

Choosing correct amp for camera power supply.
tomcctv replied to manishpmch's topic in General Digital Discussion
this is a joke yes ????? power supply is too small 6x 1amp on 5amp power supply. also you will get problems with surge when cameras go into IR. best running two cameras on 1 5amp power supply ... so you need 3 power units or go with a good power distribution box. look for 10amp in total -
hi either your google is not working or you dont know were to look. dahua cameras are half the price in UK than in USA .....you just dont see them in costco or UK ebay.
-
hi which remote software do you use. ???? dont flash your unit you cant go back if you use a wrong one

More than 4 cameras on a Dahua NVR?
tomcctv replied to RickyGee's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Nano is 8 mp in total with I Channel having a max of 5 mp The new eh and the new touch is max 48 mp total. As for specs of dahua and it's been a problem for 2 years Spec below sounds good but way off being truth. We have sold dahua under there current name and there old name for 7 years but there NVRs are just two limited with no upgrade support. Dahua cameras are fine for budget and now with option to have 1 TV of cloud storage does make them a good option. NVR spec. Notice 1080 real time well not the case on 3rd line down. -
where you would insert smtp.gmail.com insert 66.249.93.111instead and use port number 465. who is your ISP
