Switching to IP - Camera Selection for challenging Lighting
tomcctv replied to danweber's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. If your thinking or 3-4-5mp cameras then skip the dahua.....if your looking at other brand cameras again skip the dahua Dahua is a budget system which is limited. Also built in POE can be a problem in its self ......dahua with POE is not sold in uk anymore .. POE goes NVR goes. -
hi. another way would be to use your existing cat5 with baluns for just your cameras and use netgear over power for your temp control gear

Looking for DVR with strong functions
tomcctv replied to Celia_AV's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Aver hybrid units will do what you want. -
If your looking for hybrid I would leave the dahua alone It's not a true hybrid ..... And that unit is well over priced ......
-
+1 as matt says this is your best option. and can be done at little cost. go for a brand name like netgear or BT
-
Sloman, we can only reply to what you write...... You understood my reply ......as moving your own post makes the point. Look forward to seeing your new post.

Listen you edited your post.............so I was right your just a get rich quick con man..... You remove your post then call me a jerkoff..........you stated you run a large cctv company ??????...........and you edit what was a stupid post ......which I was right in giving you my answer... And the reason why am p#### at your post is a dvr will do what you want anyway .............you just want to find a way to charge your customer more for remote viewing........which is free anyway

How to determine if you 600TVL camera is REALLY 600 TVL
tomcctv replied to QC444's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. There is no way of knowing..........also position of cameras will give you diff eat quality. ....with light and environment. And remember 600tv lines is black and white ......not colour mode. So they will be around 560tvl -
WHY.... remind me not to buy a dvr from you. you want to take customers remote viewing off ......direct to you and i take it your going to charge your customers for this. as dvr is at moment your customers can log in PC/android/ipad. you want to remove all this .......... hope you have good software to replace both apps (and i bet you will also charge customer for them as well)

How do you use a dedicated micros dvr
tomcctv replied to 27901591's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi you will find manual here. http://www.dedicatedmicros.com/europe/support_product.php?product_group_id=1&product_id=150&selected_page_id=1 -
Hi that model I would leave alone ........very limited and well over priced... You will need support at some stage and from ebay you get nothing. If your going hybrid buy a system that is not limited . By having to reduce the camera to work it...........which is never a good thing
-
Lots of makers are removing warranty when bought from likes of amazon and ebay.
-
Bad enough buying from amazon ......never mind it being a reverb...........which means customer bought it and sent it back because it was crap...........it's a CIF unit
-
hi. POE to DVR ......... dont understand why but you may damage unit. you need to open two ports 37778 and 37777 also credit machine mght block...... so unplug and try to connect.
-
Hi. Has this already been used in court???? Your saying 2008 . Footage is 2006 . So can't be used in court...........not in uk anyway Also are you in the north east
