The best choice between IP cam to secur a vast yard
tomcctv replied to ab2reza1360's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Sorry dahua will just not cut it for a sea-port. And PTZ with IR for a big area is useless. Before the op even starts looking he needs to find the regulations for this type of install ....... It's a sea-port it will be regulated. And avigilon are world known for airport and sea-ports. And there is a very good reason why I said avigilon. For a port install. And am sorry a toy like dahua will not do the job. The op has a good budget for avigilon so why not have the best for his install -

The best choice between IP cam to secur a vast yard
tomcctv replied to ab2reza1360's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi for anything like a sea-port / airport / tunnels then best option is avigilon and with your budget you cant buy better. 40 ip cameras with using avigilon you may find you can get your camera count down and there software is ideal for a sea-port. 90% of ports and airports in the UK are avigilon -

General questions about setting up PTZ camera tour
tomcctv replied to Dr3am's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi yes pre sets are stored on DVR. (in most cases) and this is the best way to setup a PTZ. going with head controls or controller will not allow you full control from DVR if you want to view your camera over a network or let DVR alarms control PTZ -
Hi. nathan91 first thing to check is time and date on both your dvr and footage you need to look at

hi. firefighter. you have the Apolo at the moment with good cameras. [imghttp://www.cctvforum.com/images/imported/2012/02/182763_10.jpg][/img] i would go hybrid... and still use your existing system. yes you are right with a good wide lens 3-or 5mp can replace a few analog cameras. and you can also lower your FPS to help with storage.

Run PTZ Preset at set times/dates on Dahua DVR
tomcctv replied to Liquid_Squelch's topic in System Design
Hi. yes it can be done but you will need to spend a little. you can use a PTZ programmable controller and i would also look at one that has alarm inputs just like your dvr so as while it is doing your timed location it can still react look for a controller with schedule proramable settings. -

how do i keep someone from logging into my cameras?
tomcctv replied to bobp's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi . it depends on which DDNS service they used (who has control of it) but for now if you go into your dvr --setup then network you can then see which IPs are using your system. keep your IPs for PC and smartphones and block the rest. -

NVR for a large number of Analogue cameras and Microphones
tomcctv replied to CoDeR's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. Some problems with your post. NVR is used with IP cameras and not analog. ... Yes you can convert with encoders but its a cost you don't need.... It might be best if you start with your budget and type of area you are installing at. Also good if you give camera distance from recorder -
Hi. using IR cameras will be a waste of time. you need a good true day / night camera. we use DBM-20VD/DBM-21VD from CNB. it has a adjustable change over so you can set for lighting conditions.
