  1. Sorry dahua will just not cut it for a sea-port. And PTZ with IR for a big area is useless. Before the op even starts looking he needs to find the regulations for this type of install ....... It's a sea-port it will be regulated. And avigilon are world known for airport and sea-ports. And there is a very good reason why I said avigilon. For a port install. And am sorry a toy like dahua will not do the job. The op has a good budget for avigilon so why not have the best for his install

Hi. for the Colossus you need file player. everything sent toyou via pm.
  3. Hi for anything like a sea-port / airport / tunnels then best option is avigilon and with your budget you cant buy better. 40 ip cameras with using avigilon you may find you can get your camera count down and there software is ideal for a sea-port. 90% of ports and airports in the UK are avigilon
  4. hi. noit will not work with the amazon part. can you tell us what system you have you call it a q-see dvr and the NVR. we need to know if your analog or ip.
  5. Hi yes pre sets are stored on DVR. (in most cases) and this is the best way to setup a PTZ. going with head controls or controller will not allow you full control from DVR if you want to view your camera over a network or let DVR alarms control PTZ

    Question regarding IP MP.

hi. firefighter. you have the Apolo at the moment with good cameras. [imghttp://www.cctvforum.com/images/imported/2012/02/182763_10.jpg][/img] i would go hybrid... and still use your existing system. yes you are right with a good wide lens 3-or 5mp can replace a few analog cameras. and you can also lower your FPS to help with storage.

Run PTZ Preset at set times/dates on Dahua DVR

Hi. yes it can be done but you will need to spend a little. you can use a PTZ programmable controller and i would also look at one that has alarm inputs just like your dvr so as while it is doing your timed location it can still react look for a controller with schedule proramable settings.

    Hello

hi VSI are more of a plug and play unit ...........most people have problems if the registers com ports are not open.
  19. hi . it depends on which DDNS service they used (who has control of it) but for now if you go into your dvr --setup then network you can then see which IPs are using your system. keep your IPs for PC and smartphones and block the rest.

Q-See DVR and bigger HD than supported

Hi. AV and green drives are always a problem with standalone units. Stick with standard drives.
  21. Hi. Some problems with your post. NVR is used with IP cameras and not analog. ... Yes you can convert with encoders but its a cost you don't need.... It might be best if you start with your budget and type of area you are installing at. Also good if you give camera distance from recorder

    Best camera for discoteque

Hi. using IR cameras will be a waste of time. you need a good true day / night camera. we use DBM-20VD/DBM-21VD from CNB. it has a adjustable change over so you can set for lighting conditions.
  23. Hi. which cameras are you using. this is a limited hybrid........... if you use 8 x 1.3mp cameras you can only record in D1 which is a waste of the true cameras resolution if your no using MP cameras then have a look at a standard DVR its much cheaper
  24. hi. the lead your looking at is a local test setup lead. nothing todo with connecting to your dvr.......... the camera comes with BNC plug in. (which you cant see in picture)
