hi. it is possable but some things to look out for before you spend money. DIN systems are old so they will be poor quality cameras or even B/W only. also the power for these systems to camera was 5 to 8v. cameras now are 12/24v so you will have problems powering them. if you want to try using your cameras you will need to take a picture of camera and also take one apart and take pictures of inside so we can workout a rewire for them to work. you can try and see them working first before you buy a dvr.

tomcctv replied to redalert's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. your spending alot on cameras i would also spend a little on a power supply the problem with using a multi pig tail is if you have a problem with 1 camera or with your power supply it will take your system out. go for power unit for each camera or buy a multi box supply. -

DVR + ?? for security to detect fence cutting/climbing?
tomcctv replied to Razer_SE's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi. it also depends on the value of stock getting stolen. in cost alone running cable 10inch apart for the full lenth of fence is going to take some work. if your budget allows look at something like this. http://www.detection-technologies.com/ with extra bonus of being able to protect walls ...... no power needed. zDUQ4eBlsBs -

tomcctv replied to ic1nyc's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. It is not a dauha. If the sales man says it is then ask to talk to another. The shang is a 16 way $200 unit and will not work with ANY dauha software or APP and its also new to the market -

Current price on 2 MP box cameras 20-30 psc FOB China ?
tomcctv replied to matjaz's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
your best bet is to put your money on the table with which ever supplier you want to trade with....... no point asking for others to give you there discount and costs as there are lots of other factors to take into account. what are you looking at doing...... buy direct yourself or find the profits people make ?? -
Hi. are you using the right method in I.E to access your DVR. http://192.168.1.100:your port number

RS485 from PTZ to CNB sender (in the same room as operator) then PTZ ontrols are remote..... pan tilt zoom and camera call up and menu. not when you think about it......... This system has to work and it only has 1 chance. the people who have quoted that price may have thought about the size of camera and gone for one MP camera in each room. (does away for the need to be a PTZ) or IP axis PTZ which is small and would do the job you need. if you stay analog then you will have problems with camera being seen.
