  1. so it should be .. no point getting it without.
  2. your best bet is to put your money on the table with which ever supplier you want to trade with....... no point asking for others to give you there discount and costs as there are lots of other factors to take into account. what are you looking at doing...... buy direct yourself or find the profits people make ??

Hi. are you using the right method in I.E to access your DVR. http://192.168.1.100:your port number

    Need help with setup

RS485 from PTZ to CNB sender (in the same room as operator) then PTZ ontrols are remote..... pan tilt zoom and camera call up and menu. not when you think about it......... This system has to work and it only has 1 chance. the people who have quoted that price may have thought about the size of camera and gone for one MP camera in each room. (does away for the need to be a PTZ) or IP axis PTZ which is small and would do the job you need. if you stay analog then you will have problems with camera being seen.

    Need help with setup

Hi. for interview rooms we use PTZ remote control units ..... only 1 would be needed in your case as they can run multi cameras at the same time. you can find them cheap............ but buy a brand name unit we have always used CNB and had no problems ... you are looking at a cost of around $65
  6. hi do you know which DVR it is or can you post pictures
  7. Hi only you can do that................. prices do change by amount you buy. and how many times you have bought from the supplier. its also not just a matter of ordering 20-30 cameras paying for them you also need to put some sort of guarantee in place.

    Qvis DVR

going from aver to dahua. seems like going backwards. we sell both and at the moment 4 way dahua is £98. also to have control over a dahua while away you need the PSS software unlike the aver (you download from unit) going from hybrid unit to analog

    multiple controllers

Hi. yes you can have both running.. your problem is going to be PTZ with auto tracker........... it never works forget auto and look for a camera with alarm inputs then it will do its job.
  10. shipped would be the best part of £400 ($700) sorry there are lots of 1.3 and 2mp cameras about with big names cheaper

    What are these cameras?

Hi your cameras are CNB. good cameras................. but they are static cameras and not PTZ so nothing else for you to do but just plug them in.
  12. if yor installing for yourself then you can take the risk from ebay. but if you are installing for others just buy local............. you will spend more time and effort replacing crap
  13. its a web cam 640 x 480.................. no contest against 1.3mp................ and forget about using IR cameras
  14. Hi take alook at the avermedia 1.3 mp camera if you are in the UK (not available in US) its around the £80 mark. runs on the aver software and remote viewing via iphone/android/ PC also has two way audio.
  15. hi cat5 is the way to go. as for price. rg59 will run 1 camera cat5 with balun you can run 4 or more on the 1 cable.. so cat5 is cheaper

    16 CH DVR Recommendation

HI. dahua is a toy to the aver. and the Aliien is also very budget. take a look at the aver touch. and then you can still use your nano to expand your system
  19. Hi. your on the old IDE drive. the problem you are going to find is they are twice the price of a Sata drive. if you can still find new. i would look for a 500. and first i would check what the max is for your DVR. but your in the position buy IDE drive or for a little more a new DVR with sata 1tb fitted
  20. axis is done at install. so is permanent. set lens then software to turn image.... but cant change once set. if footage is to be permanent then axis is fine. ak357. sorry thought the op was asking for a camera to do both.

Auto tracking outside PTZ dome camera

i know you will defend your ptz. BUT your night video is not a true example of auto tracking. it lost you 3 times in a short video............... it is only because you have your laptop with you that you could reactivate the auto tracker you had to walk back into its neutral point. the part when your at your door...... you knock then start to walk away your camera returns to neutral. say if that was a intruder knocking to see if anyone is in. steps back to look at windows your auto tracker would do the same return to neutral. leaving the intruder to do what ever he need to get in your front door............. you will only pick him back up on his way to the road. without your laptop you video would have only lasted seconds. auto tracking has been around for 8 years or so and it never works.... alarm inputs do work they make the PTZ do its job and no one needs to be in field of view (which is the main problem with auto tracking subject NEEDS to be in field or view)
