listen we all learn everyday to grow confidence never let it beet you ask as many questions as you like. That’s what the forum is for and you will fix your problem Hi. This is your first path to fix the issue mill explain ….. 5200 is a lot slower drive than 7200 …… your recorder is supposed to have a 7200 speed hard drive unlike a pc we’re you can use a 5200 or 7200 the files are usually small your recorder needs the 7200 first for the speed in which it writes slow 5200 for read and write is too slow and should not be used in anything other than a pc or pc based recorder so basically your using the wrong hard drive it might not drastically improve your system but will make it quicker also are you using a nvr with Poe ? and do you have both the nvr and the cameras set to h265 (this will also up your speed

Camera reset after failure
tomcctv replied to DragonSlayr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. I have talked with Shaun a few times over the years very good guy 99% it is because of the tv the camera in question I know very well …. Have installed 100s of them and are very good cameras with strong audio ….. made by a very good company the problem is the cameras run warm as standard like most cameras and handles heat well. but your camera placement is what’s giving you your problems flat screen tvs also give out a lot of heat which rises upto your camera and adding to the existing heat internally already in the camera i dont know which R series you are using but some have a SD card slot internal so to protect the card over heat protection is set lower that standard cameras if you can I would move the camera to left or right of your tv …. Not directly above the tv we’re the tv heat is adding to your camera -

UNBRICK DAHUA DSS7016D-H - Server
tomcctv replied to rubsmong's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Something is not right about your post server came with bad software? 2016 to 2018 is the software yours has on it so you must of bought the unit either 4 years ago or 7 years ago if only just bought by your local dahua supplier….. then take it back…… $5000is a lot of money …… why have you not gone that option ? but I don’t see why dahua support is to blame putting 2021 firmware on a old server will render useless and dahua has a warning on the server website Don’t go above 2018 -
UNBRICK DAHUA DSS7016D-H - Server
tomcctv replied to rubsmong's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. There is no local dahua support by you your unit has to go to dahua Morocco you can’t download the 18 software from the internet …… dahua or any other manufacturer is going to give away there core software …. Remember we are not talking about firmware …. Which is available (core ) the operating system can only be installed by dahua …… so you need to send it to Morocco -

UNBRICK DAHUA DSS7016D-H - Server
tomcctv replied to rubsmong's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
I have had an email from dahua for you ….. first there not a dahua distributor also asked why you never returned the unit $5.000 is a lot of money for you to break the warranty your 2016 server was replaced in 2018 any software after that date will not run on the 2016/17 server 2018 server software has a completely different lynx software than the 2016 basically no firmware will attach until you have server re flashed …… and only dahua or fully authorised dahua agent can do that for you. they don’t send the software out …. It is return server only ……. Cost just under 2k -
