Where find for buy Discovery app for DVR QVIS Atlantis?
tomcctv replied to kike_mrn's topic in General Digital Discussion
its been out for a while. only problem is its not free. and only android. iphone is delayed scan QR for down load. For android -
hi the only problem with the avalon units is no free remote software. we have a test remote software but far from being ready. for your budget look at the dahua pro or go hybrid with the aver nano 8 dont waste money on hard drive space. 15fps is all you need at max and in most cases 7fps is good

yes go for the avtech twice the price of the dahua kit you can also pickup that avtech kit up from maplins cheap

Can I connect DVR online to view camera away from home?
tomcctv replied to cam2017's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi vijay. your getting there ...... the above ip is what you will now see in your router under services you just need to give it a port number. on your dvr network you see your port as 0080 change this to 8080 thats your dvr settings done. on your router your dvr ip needs a port assigned which is now 8080 -
hi. yes well over priced for a DIY kit. take a read up on dahua DVRs in search (top right of this page under your login) then have a look in your PM box. your reaction should be like this " title="Applause" />

CT-SRD-470D :: Samsung 4CH Linux Standalone H.264 DVR
tomcctv replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
thats simple............. if they dont list it then you dont know what your buying. real time live viewing at 4cif. but the system is useless if the important part playback is only at a low resolution. its just a waste of money a true D1 dvr will and does give quality true D1 were expensive (on the way out with mp) -

(you will get the hang of it ) -

Shockwave you aren't the only one that has been caught out like that. I saw an 8CH H.264 DVR with 4 CCD Cameras, I then checked the specs So I thought 240fps which would mean 30 fps per camera & D1 resolution. I was wrong. I am still playing around with the system but I can't seem to get a decent picture with anything more than 4 cameras. hi. Warren its not a matter of being caught out 4cif is good for most applications or budget level DVRs and have been around for a long time. this is why you see so many of us saying brand name. 4cif can be good and bad (very cheap china products) a bad 4cif writen codec will give bad images fast moving objects will give a mosaic effect. a good 4cif found with name branded units have a better codec . this is a typical HIDE spec it points out the best only. but misses the major point. NOTHING of recording Resolution. spec only shows Display (live view) if they dont list recording you can take it as CIF -

Hi Tomcctv, your recommended website is pretty good. However, as what Vijaygunners mentioned, nothing is free at all. So, could you tell us where we can get free DDNS or how to deal with dyndns? Thanks, hi. it depends on what part of the world your in. with having a place in uk and USA. internet is miles apart from each other in price and how your ISP operates. UK. £15 a month ($7) gives us fast BB and the option to have a full static ip with either a 1 off charge (some £5 some £10) or some ISP giving it free. no stupid month charging for statics USA well we get charged for everything and at a lot more -
hi. if you still have the image when camera is switched off. then the first thing to do is pull the power out from your dvr and leave it for 5 mins. connect power to cameras then switch your dvr back on

CT-SRD-470D :: Samsung 4CH Linux Standalone H.264 DVR
tomcctv replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
are they. lots of companies do say D1 just as they also say real time recording. its always been a problem in the industry hyped up specs to sell. there is nothing bad or wrong about 4 cif it is a fact and not the same format as TRUE D1. lets take some specs. 8 Channel DVR | Real-time | CIF/D1 Resolution | H.264 Model: QT428 first lets start with real time. ...>>>>>> what the spec does not tell you is real time is only in its lower res (cif) now the specs D1. D1 Recording Option 60 FPS (7.5 FPS Per Channel) D1 Playback Resolution 704x480 for a start 704x480 is not true D1 it is best 4cif so sales spec. 8 Channel DVR | Real-time | CIF/D1 Resolution | H.264 Model: QT428 should read. 8 Channel DVR / none Real-time / 4CIF Resolution /H.264 Model: QT428. because 99% of people will want the best from that unit. like i said there is nothing wrong with 4cif its just NOT true D1 and they are hard to find at full real time 720x480 and when you do there not £300 DVRs -

tomcctv replied to two89w's topic in Digital Video Recorders
No. one thing people get wrong is 4cif is NOT true D1. this has and always will be a problem in the industry 4cif (in cif world) yes is the highest. and every body calls it D1 (sales pitch) were the true fact is D1 is its own format and should not be used to explain cif format. there are not many true D1 format dvrs around -
hi. can you post a image or details of your PTZ.
-
hi. lots of support and good software can be had from these units. also good alarm inputs. i see you monitor a pool. unlike your old DM just by changing your dvr gives you a basic alarm unit as well.
-
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm by no means an expert here, so what do you mean by a D1? Can you offer some examples? hi. your dvr DM has a max res of 704x240 which is standard for that recorder. 704x480 is 4cif and D1 is 720x480. D1 will give you a much better image than what you have. its just that you have old with new. DM are very good even at 704x240 (there own format) and if you had 320 or 480 tvl cameras you images would be good. to get the best out of your new cameras you are best putting them on a D1 res DVR.
-
hi. it will be ok local. try changing your screen size when you try from your external ip (away from home)
-
hi wils. this may work for you. change your screen resolution lower then log back into your dvr and see if it plays your footage.
-
hi. there are two types of eco ... 2004 or 2005. you have old and new mix with that dvr and your cameras >>> your not getting the best from your cameras. i would look at changing your dvr. for a D1
-
hi 704x480 is not D1 ........... also make sure your not just looking at display resolution. which is not its true recording rate
-
hi for iphone. http://itunes.apple.com/gb/app/i-rams/id349444644?mt=8
