if you see anything as IPS or fields/p/s then your buying a poor system. ips and fps (fields per second) which is only half of a frame. 30 ips is only 15fps (frames per second) 30 fps (fields per second) is only 15 fps (you see this on the cheap china or ebay dvr) makes them look good
-
hi. look for 7fps to 15fps for each channel. at D1 7fps is ok for most setups

cctv system that is ideal for every ones home
tomcctv replied to Gengiz's topic in General Digital Discussion
many DVRs are now 25/30fps D1 now. you are right 7fps D1 is good for most applications. but the link you have posted looks like D1 on 1 channel cif on the rest which is now a old format why buy something that is already out of date. but the spec also has sales crap > makes no sence. -

16 Channel TV connect to one 16CH-DVR.
tomcctv replied to sovan's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi. your still very unclear of what you need to do. you might be better explaining what it is you are doing and what for. at the moment it sounds like you want to record 16tv channels onto a 16 way dvr. if so you are still going to have big problems and cost not just for getting the video from each but sound is also going to be a big cost -
hi, £108 you will just be buying junk that will not work if its for your shop look at wired systems. also in the uk you have to use a system that is fit for use if used in public. £420 will get you a good 4 way system with full internet viewing wireless or wired you still need to get cables to the cameras with wired you can do it with just 1 cable (for 4 cameras)

Hi. good choice using axis cameras. a good brand camera can be added to the UK school watch scheme in the holiday times. this could be down to the age of your DM dvr you will find it is only cif Resolution or only set at cif. 31 days is the norm for footage in the uk. and on a 32 way hybrid you will need 8tb in a school. but as the school has there holiday times you will get 70 to 80 days (as the internal cameras are not recording all the time) one unit to take a look at is the aver 32 hybrid.

Upgrading a 940nm camera...how feasible ?
tomcctv replied to stephanovich's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi for 10m with 940 you will need to look at range of 20m spec or above. built in 940nm cameras are very limited if at all being true 940nm. or go withstandard IR for that range. -
we have Metal Mickey units up both with wiper and without. the ones with wiper need more get up and clean more than the ones that dont. wipers are useless without water.

Problem with 8ch BT878 Card - black lines
tomcctv replied to marcomatic's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. new PC and a $14 capture card .......25fps with just 1 camera or 6fps if you use 4 ....... i would not bother putting time into that card. put in a aver nv3000 card for $60 and done. -
hi. that is the job of the ISP. only on there problems. and most ISP tech are just reading from a manual (they dont even have a clue if they did not have the tech manual) for ISP tech support they would need to know IP networking ..... you will be on the phone for years. he may never have even heard of a ip camera. hi it has nothing to do with your ISP if port 3777 is open or not. you will get all the info you need if you list your project. how many cameras / are you using switches are you monitoring local or away with the software. are you using PSS software ?? also are you using a ddns service.

cage on a home trust me it looks a mess and only attracts attention to the camera. if you mount them high enough then you have no problem. looking at your home picture each camera can be protected with another camera (people have to pass though other cameras) so you will always have a image.

hi yes we came across someone who bought a ADT system (£960) and also had to pay a monthly fee (paying for first year) its cheaper to let people rob your house with all the stupid extra costs ADT make up. not an issue if put up right. good domes will do the job you need. not a good idea to mount them inside. what is your budget for a system ??
-
hi i dont think you will get anywere with your ISP ..... if your on the internet and everything is working then thats all your ISP will get involved in. if you can give more details on your system ..... dvr and router and cameras. this part of your post is a bit confusing.

Condensation build up/help or tips please
tomcctv replied to stephanovich's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
hi. the time change in your camera getting condensation can change from hours to weeks. it`s down to the weather outside ..... if it is warm then you will not get condensation. as the nights start to get warmer you might not see it happen till you next get a cold night. ignition sealer is a chemical and can change the colour of plastics and as you are looking at the lens area i would not try that. can you list the camera. -
hi. EU look for CNB I-Blue. .......... were are you located. no the the longer the distance the worse IR gets. unless you look at spending $300/400 on good illuminators.
-
hi. if you need to watch your dogs or see if anything is on the ground that should not be there i would forget about IR and go with flood lighting. solar is a good option put light without power anywhere around your property.

hi why look at a wall mount ???? its not the wall mounting it how the camera connects to the bracket. if someone throws a wet sock at it the camera will move.
