Can't get DVR on my network for long...
tomcctv replied to bertbig's topic in Digital Video Recorders
yes 111111 is DVR password not remote viewing log in. yes you can change 111111 to anything you like (6 digits) it only stops people from changing settings on your dvr. for network settings your dvr (from factory) is admin and admin and if you look at page 10 it does tell you. you will not see any other options until you either change or add a new network password. you will have the same problem when you get it back. you only had to test it first -

CNM Secure H.264 Problem Video Playback Green / Black Lines
tomcctv replied to georges999's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi it depends on how old your CNM is some old ones will not allow you to use ie9. some will not. and the other problem you are going to have is you will have to do the same on any remote pc you use with IE9 but with your external ip. Go to the tools menu in Internet Explorer 9 and click on the Compatibility View Settings option. Add the IP Address for your DVR into the Add this website text box and click Add. Click Close Go to the tools menu again and click on the Internet Options option. Click the Security tab. Click on the Trusted Sites icon. Click the Sites button. Untick the Require server verification (https: ) for all sites in this zone box (if it is ticked). Add the IP Address for your DVR into the Add this website to the zone: text box and click Add. Click Close then Click OK and then Restart your browser. -

yes but they dont work from ebay and over priced for what they are from ebay china sellers. or do a price build IP external with a flip.

Newbie question regarding prices and new system. Thanks!
tomcctv replied to paupar's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi. if you can send your samsung back all the better. i dont knowwhy samsung keep making systems with stupic camera connections. i thought there rj plug was bad but yours is even worse on that system. .... it does not allow you to swap and change cameras .... you are stuck with the over priced samsung going ip or hybrid is 100% a better system than samsung. which is this hybrid. http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/embedded-hybrid-DVR-EH1004H-4-Nano -
as Flip found out it could not be done. loaded with problems / made cheap and it failed when needed. why put that into a IP camera........ lucky they did not.

Can't get DVR on my network for long...
tomcctv replied to bertbig's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. you could have a few problems. is this unit bought brand new ???? (made 2008) password for remote view is admin and admin. if its not then it may have a time limit (setup via network password settings) also the other problem is a 2008 dvr may not be compatable with your operating system. you will need a firmware update -
Hi Sergio. i see you have posted this a few times. .... we need some more info first. do you have your camera connected to your dvr and do you see the images ???? you need to get this all setup first. as far as your 3g. is it the vodafone unit you have ???. it is going to be better if you do away with your ZTE MF10 wi-fi and use a netgear 4/4g router with your ZTE K3765-Z this will then allw you to do port forwarding. also 1 warning using vodafone without a security package is going to cost you alot of money to run

Please Help--Spectra Mounting Issue
tomcctv replied to Installer024's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
quote. > The mounts are designed to swivel within available clearance limits, which adds to the flexibility, easy maintenance, and usability of the configuration. Manufactured from aluminum, the mounts include indexing bolts to secure the arm in position. the arm does come off (lock nuts) then you could use something like this. but its not cheap. -
Flip were cheap because they would never last. 30min of use and it would overheat lost files and the HD recording was not quite HD it was a lot lower. hence direct upload to the likes of youtube. the only people that bought them were people that have never bought or used a camcorder. (but they wish they had) i would say a flip can only be put in the range of 1.3mp IP camera. sanyo HD 35s kill the image of a flip.

tomcctv replied to aethyr's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi the axis M50 range is in your budget. and it may be better for you to mount the camera on a tall tripod. with direct input to a laptop for start stop / zoom / pan / tilt and record from. -
Outdoor IP PTZ recomendation
tomcctv replied to WilliamA's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi. no point looking at IP if you dont have a hybrid analog i would look at the CNB range of PTZ .... just on your price range for the 27x. -
hi. hey_moe am shocked your having problems with jetview. they have been in the industry for a good number of years. they are distributors for sunkwang both over there and here. now email them with a link to your thread
-
hi. most good DVR/NVRs will do POS now. if you already have a dvr then POS boxes are a good price. what is your budget.
-
hi Matt. do you use video Evidence Kits in canada ?? or in the US. most systems in the uk are evaluated now by crime collection and memory pens or hard drives with manuals are sent out to most police forces.
-
hey_moe. if you are sending it back to china please use a good service like fedex or ups and signed for. the last thing you want is them saying its lost but if they have a office in canada ..... (which may not be true) post there details its not hard to check

Unique Situation - Is there Software that can do this?
tomcctv replied to Baron's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi. some good hybrids. http://www.3xlogic.com/prod/599/pro-series-hybrid-video-recorder http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/hybrid-capture-card-NV8416T http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/embedded-hybrid-DVR-IWH3216-Touch all of which will run your cameras. the only problem is text overlay. all above units can do it via utp so you can use a laptop with word pad but that is were your problem starts ..... the text overlay is used for POS (cash register display ) and is assigned to camera at setup. which the way you want to use it you cant. but i think (i will have to have a play) a text emulator that can be assigned a local IP address for each camera may work but this is just standard text like from work is that what you are looking for. -
Strange, very strange. I tried it both ways... no difference. I put in a call to Aver tech support, hoping to hear back soon... hi. john. would you mind if i took alook around your settings ???

Unique Situation - Is there Software that can do this?
tomcctv replied to Baron's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. Baron. interesting project. with having a mix of cameras .... analog and IP and with using camcorders makes getting all footage back to 1 pc is going to be simple If. you have a video feed out from your camcorders ?? but what you are looking for is a hybrid card and you will still be able to use your existing text Generators. -
Hi john. you should not see the Aero Mode if you are using a vga card. but thinking about it. you might have second monitor ticked in your settings. if you go to setup then systems and to the right you will see a tick box for add monitor .... is it un ticked ??
-
hi. can you PM me the serial No. from the little sticker on the back. i need to see how old it is.
-
hi john yes they are you matrix start button. john are you using motherboard vga or are you using a card. but with not having right button mouse control something is not right. you might be better to update your software.
