Flip were cheap because they would never last. 30min of use and it would overheat lost files and the HD recording was not quite HD it was a lot lower. hence direct upload to the likes of youtube. the only people that bought them were people that have never bought or used a camcorder. (but they wish they had) i would say a flip can only be put in the range of 1.3mp IP camera. sanyo HD 35s kill the image of a flip.

Hi the axis M50 range is in your budget. and it may be better for you to mount the camera on a tall tripod. with direct input to a laptop for start stop / zoom / pan / tilt and record from.

hi Matt. do you use video Evidence Kits in canada ?? or in the US. most systems in the uk are evaluated now by crime collection and memory pens or hard drives with manuals are sent out to most police forces.

Baron. interesting project. with having a mix of cameras .... analog and IP and with using camcorders makes getting all footage back to 1 pc is going to be simple If. you have a video feed out from your camcorders ?? but what you are looking for is a hybrid card and you will still be able to use your existing text Generators.

Hi john. you should not see the Aero Mode if you are using a vga card. but thinking about it. you might have second monitor ticked in your settings. if you go to setup then systems and to the right you will see a tick box for add monitor .... is it un ticked ??

hi. the maker is TVT. also known as a q-see DVR. can you post a picture of your dvr ? on there website it now has this warning This DVR cannot be seen on Internet Explorer 9 . You will need to downgrade to Internet Explorer 8. The DVR software is not compatible with Internet Explorer 9.

hi. everything is no name. specs are also a bit mixed up. your 8 way is a 4 way card with 4 way extention. (so half what spec says) all the rest are CIF. spend that much on a PC and card. you will get alot more if you buy a standalone full D1 25fps

Hi ssnapier. it depends on the dvr. some will just show 1 camera and some dvrs you can pick and display any camea. most of the time you would use it for say a public display monitor by a door way in a store. or have all cameras switching 1 at a time

Hi john. sorry i have to ask but is your mouse fully working ......... i know it sounds daft but most people only use the left button on there mouse. just right click on your desktop screen and see if you get >>> view / sort / refresh / new. but all avers have had drag and drop with right mouse button in all PC and standalone units for years. what happends when you use imatrix direct on your screen at dvr ...... click on yellow buttom in top right of each image. ???

hi. depends on what you mean by oil pumps ..... is this heating oil ??? nothing to do with if you can use footage in court. what you might be mistaken for is if the installer is registered (electrical code) for installing in a high risk area. are you north or south Ireland. ??

hi. first step would be to pull 1 fuse at a time from your power unit. pull fuse 1 then look at your monitor see if it stops if not put fuse 1 back then try fuse 2 and so on.

hi. it looks like you have a ground problem. you may have a bad power supply or you need to do some new connections on your cameras power and BNCs. looking at your picture it looks as if another image is rolling over (you can see another image at bottom of your screen)

hi john. all avers are drag and drop if you have multiple screens you can even drage from 1 monitor to another. in standard screen click on image you want to move and while holding down the mouse button move the mouse to were you want the image then let go of mouse button.

Hi. yes you have 2 options. 1. go to setup then go camera recording then pick cam 3 from the cameras at the top. this will then give you a realtime image of cam 3 with black squires were movment is detected. on the left you will see a slider (motion) turn it dowm till you see no squires. click ok and see how that goes
