Hi. sounds like you just have a composite out DVR (no vga) if you are going to use just a vga monitor then you will need a comp to vga converter.

best left well alone. cheap second hand / returned units. there posh name is "B" grade. most of the time they are end of line units. no updates

hi. on alot of cheap cards if you alter the time you will loose your footage. just reformat your drive after you have set the time. another thing that tells you about your card is it needs its own software to view footage after burning. also take a look at your card ...... why is it displaying time and date twice . ???

hold your breath. i had there new 3rd party camera licence costs last month (which you are going to need for the pano). and this years price has gone up. if people stoped paying geo for a licence for this and that (geo even charge for 1 POS ) no other company does. yes and your paying to have your res lowered ...... good sales from geo

hi. apart from being chinese was it cheap ??? it could be many things all of which is going to cost you money if you have no support or backup or even a return policy. did you install the HD yourself 200gb sounds like a old hd ??? also it may not be compatable with your dvr. it could also be your dvr is not holding its setup i.e battery problem either way it is going to cost you money and to be honest buy new with hard drive (you will find its not much more than you buying just a good hard drive) take a look at dahua (QVis) DVRs

go on then from his posts YOU post the fix. could it be IR or street lights is the street light close to the camera ...... what is the reflecting light doing

hi. you will have to post pictures of your problem ...... you have given two problems in your post ..... is it street light problems or IR.

i also think you have over complicated things. and there are also cable lenths to take into account. also you have PTZs going to POE switch with other cameras you may find you dont have enough power. DVR/NVR = hybrid ???? same as thewireguys asks what equipment are you using MP each camera ?? power each camera and your wireless link for you anpr cameras how far ???

What did I get wrong? it depends how you interpret your trick question. also like soundy says its differant in state codes. which is not the same as your answer which is power and data in the same cable not data and power (24v) seperate in the same conduit

hi. if you have done the wrong firmware update then your system still may not work. your dvr will need new software if that is your problem. doing a hard reset on the 677 is a little bit of a fiddle. you need to find the R155 link. pm sent on how.

hi your best option is a kvm. (4way or more) attached to dvr vga out to your dedicated cctv monitors with mouse control. dahua network controller is the best part of $300 each.

foscam have a problems with copies to the point if you buy from ebay amazon or the likes they give no support. Loftek. is the same camera. dont be fooled into there USA website. it is registered in china shenzhen city. also just try to contact them ...... no email no phone number or address on there website at all. so thats your backup and warrenty gone from the day you buy. if you want to build a home system out of cameras like that then just run to your local stapples and buy some webcams and use a webcam viewer software it the same thing. BUT WEBCAMS dont even come close to a good CCTV system

hi. looking at your install spec you are not getting full advantage of your system. you also have a PTZ in that area. what you can also do is set some alarms in your driveway camera and this will then allow you to have footage from driveway cam and also the alarm will bring your ptz into play .... it spins around on alarm and zooms in and even a little tour of that area

hi. you may see a little jump like yours sometimes as the dvr is making the next footage file. your footage has just come to the end of a hour

hi if you are looking for a home cctv system then look at a analog system rarther than the foscam (it will be alot cheaper and much better) foscams are just webcams you will get better images from standard cameras. and you will not have all the extra costs of a switch and then a pc on 24/7 to do the recording extra storage for footage. standalone - cameras = done much cheaper

can you give some more info on the reinstall. did the coax become shorter in lenth or was it added to. also what size power supply and the total distance of the camera both before it was moved and after. how was the illuminator powered ??? but for first test i would replace both BNCs at each end. i would also use your test monitor at camera end for testing (not dvr end) and power your dome down and watch if it goes into setup on power up via your test monitor.

i think more tests would be better than the cost of a replacement.

test cable with a terminator. and multimeter. if you get a bad or no reading then pull new cable. with everything CCTV the less joints and connections the better. was the old camera working before you changed it ???

seems like a high price for effio cameras. but 1 thing you need to look at is........ remember you need to buy a system for your region ...... you are PAL. NTSC is a USA region. what part of Australia are you in ?
