hi. no you cant do settings with it. it is just to set the area you are going to view while using a test monitor.
-
to have images from camera onto a standard monitor. where you see the control at rear of camera you will also see a test connection for a monitor. plug in lead. (but this is only to set direction of camera. no settings can be done from it. and you also need to remove the cable to close camera back up. but to get the images you need ... then yes you also need the HD recorder.
-
Hi. you need a everfocus HD-DVR to view your images ...... it will not work just connected upto a monitor.

tomcctv replied to LittleScoobyMaster's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi 15fps is good for a little cam like that. i would not bother setting or trying to set for any more fps. -

tomcctv replied to miyagi's topic in General Digital Discussion
i saw your link. but it was click pay (google add) if members clicked on it the owner got paid via google. not only that it directed you away from this forum. if you have a dahua. you will find it on the disk that came with your dvr. insert cd into pc and click pss link to download (your region) to your pc. -

Advice on wireless camera system
tomcctv replied to simon.perkins's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi. the first big thing is to save you money. wireless does not work. (and not at 150m) also you will find that going wired is cheaper. there is a reason why people install cctv ... clarity is not important till its needed. if you dont need good footage then just put up some signs. what is your budget ??? -
hi. is this for home or work place. ?? lots of options about. but most of these online recording companies charge silly money if you need your footage back. it depends on what equipment you have and why 3rd party for your recordings.

Is this somewhat decent quality or junk?
tomcctv replied to adster's topic in General Digital Discussion
took a look at your forum....... its a TOY compaired to cctvforum.com. i see you also direct people from your foum to your sales site. 1 of your posts is a Q-see dvr. you then direct the op to your site which is $150 more than sams club. i think all members here should do your trick and join your forum and direct all your members to a true forum. copy a paste http://www.cctvforum.com/ -
Hi. sounds like you just have a composite out DVR (no vga) if you are going to use just a vga monitor then you will need a comp to vga converter.

Pictures: So Very Cheap House Camera Setup - SuperDVR Errors
tomcctv replied to rawfuls's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. on alot of cheap cards if you alter the time you will loose your footage. just reformat your drive after you have set the time. another thing that tells you about your card is it needs its own software to view footage after burning. also take a look at your card ...... why is it displaying time and date twice . ??? -
Geovision GV-NVR and Panasonic WV-SC385
tomcctv replied to LittleScoobyMaster's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hold your breath. i had there new 3rd party camera licence costs last month (which you are going to need for the pano). and this years price has gone up. if people stoped paying geo for a licence for this and that (geo even charge for 1 POS ) no other company does. yes and your paying to have your res lowered ...... good sales from geo -
hi. apart from being chinese was it cheap ??? it could be many things all of which is going to cost you money if you have no support or backup or even a return policy. did you install the HD yourself 200gb sounds like a old hd ??? also it may not be compatable with your dvr. it could also be your dvr is not holding its setup i.e battery problem either way it is going to cost you money and to be honest buy new with hard drive (you will find its not much more than you buying just a good hard drive) take a look at dahua (QVis) DVRs

go on then from his posts YOU post the fix. could it be IR or street lights is the street light close to the camera ...... what is the reflecting light doing
-
And what was the answer? Did it correct the problem? if the advice came from another forum you can just guess
-
hi. you will have to post pictures of your problem ...... you have given two problems in your post ..... is it street light problems or IR.
-
i also think you have over complicated things. and there are also cable lenths to take into account. also you have PTZs going to POE switch with other cameras you may find you dont have enough power. DVR/NVR = hybrid ???? same as thewireguys asks what equipment are you using MP each camera ?? power each camera and your wireless link for you anpr cameras how far ???

tomcctv replied to pekingduck08's topic in System Design
What did I get wrong? it depends how you interpret your trick question. also like soundy says its differant in state codes. which is not the same as your answer which is power and data in the same cable not data and power (24v) seperate in the same conduit -

tomcctv replied to pekingduck08's topic in System Design
I guess I don't know what you are trying to say in the your reply then. dmiller9. take a read though your own findings and you will see where YOU have got it wrong. you have over looked a simple mistake. -
hi. yes but you need jnlp files. you can find info here. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Java_Web_Start and to get the java stream from your dvr http://yourip:5550/Java-Viewer.html .... which will then give you a JAVA-Viewer.jad file.
