  1. you should have no problem at all with the aver touch if everything is set-up right. are you using the H/drives on the unit ??? or are you recording to both at the same time ? do you have 1 or 2 monitor connected to your dvr.

$60 cam out performing $200 cam? Pic

rarther than paying more money to the company (another $68) i would send the camera back. if it was a controller that went inline then ok. but its not you will only use it once and thats it. 2 options. 1, send camera back or 2, ask them to loan you a controller (if not returned in 14 days they can invoice you for it) but i would not spend anymore money (you have already paid for a camera you cant set-up)

Need Help Building System for UK Home - Noob

hi. both systems you have listed are a bit on the high side in price. and they are the old dahua DVRs. not a big fan of buying all cameras the same. internal and external will proform in differant ways. where are you based. ?
  7. Hi. are you using any drives in the DVR ??? and when you call up footage are you also playing it though the dvr??

    Controller for DVR

Hi. it looks like you have the dauha DVR from kings. so you can only use the controller from dahua. (we have used the aver pro controller in the past) with the dahua you have two options network or RS 232 direct into the back of the dvr but it only has a short distance of 15m ...... you can extend this to a few 100 but you will need to go rs232 to rs485 are you only using 1 dvr ??? if you do only have 1 i can send you the pin out for the rs232 on the dahua to connect to a network controller (without using the network) rs232 to rs485

  12. hi. first can you list how you have wired each camera ....... have you gone direct or have you used baluns. how far are your cameras and how many pairs have you used for video and power

    Siemens CCDA1435 e CKA4820

hi. like i said a few posts back you have not opend your camera. (that is just the first stage) you need to get to the second stage. in your picture next to your blue switch bank. see the screw to the top right .......... you need to undo that and another 2 around the head. then turn your dome to the right and pull and you will see more dip sw. protocols and data send type. if its been on a siemens controller sw bank 2 switch 6 needs to be swithched off.

    Controller for DVR

it is possable with that DVR but the controller you have listed is no good for that model. you also need a PC
  16. hi power over coax has been in the industry for years . not used as much now but in the late 80 early 90s. but all you need to look at is what ever exists and for the future that comes as a balun for cat5 also exists for coax. new stuff all the time ........ coax ..... 2 cameras 2 audio 2 data 2 alarm 2 power over 1 RG59.
  17. 28 cameras with your budget cant be done. how big is your house ..... do you need 28 cameras ??? can you post a layout to be covered

I need help finding a dvr!

Hi jimmy. another to look at is the aver. with 60 cameras to watch the aver has 2 monitor outputs (use 1 monitor shows 32 cameras ... 2 monitors it auto splits to 16 a monitor) with full mouse control. two 32 will give you 64 cameras and if you need to expand you just add a 4-6-8 or another 32 and the systems will talk to each other. http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/hybrid-DVR-SA6832E-RACK what sort of place are you protecting ???.
  19. Hi .. cables i would look at cat5 for the number of cameras you are talking about. dont get IP and wireless cameras mixed up .... your talking two types of systems. what is your budget. ????
  20. its not so much as the android version. its the fact the playbook WAS to work with all android apps. and BB looks as if they have changed there mind. another one of those sales pitches to SELL a product. started selling here for £280 now you can pick 1 up for £90. i dont think you will find a app developer spending time on the playbook. IPAD 3 is out in a few days
  21. yes you will get all your cameras mobotix Q24 D24 M12D M24 just pick from drop down box on NVR to configure
  22. much better than the Nuuo. if you mean to get your ip stream to the aver. then all you do is add ip cam address android iphone BB all free what make are your existing IP cameras.
  23. So have you used that Aver box? Is the software clean and fairly intuitive? How much will it cost? yes we have many of the 32 ways out. the good thing about it is you can change your existing analog to IP when the fail in the future. and replace with 1.3-2 or even 5mp with no licence costs
  24. i think all you need is a hybrid. just in encoders alone is going to take you over the cost or a 32 way hybrid. then you still have the cost of software (that you can find for the geo) and remember if your existing ip are not geo then you will also have a licence cost. http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/hybrid-DVR-SA6832E-RACK
  25. hi. the NV6480EXP is a hybrid card just that that card is no longer made. and you can get a hybrid standalone for the same price. you could just about get the avermedia 1.3mp for that price. do you have any existing cables running between buildings ???? if you can find away of getting cat5 to each you will find its going to be alot cheaper than going wireless. what is your budget.
