  1. ljarrald. i had a PM the other day telling me you was just 14 years old ???? if that is true. you cant be licenced to install in schools. if you are not covered by any DPA certificate then just walk away. installing in a school has lots of laws that need to be worked too.

    KPD675 Reset Problem

hi. 8 way avtech .... its only a cif res DVR i think you are best spending your money on a D1 replacement
  5. Hi. buildings of 460ft tall are easy to find on land registers and there is only 1 condo in your area that size ..... i wont list the name to cover you. but take a look at its own network structure. (its on google) i dont think you need to run to each floor (basement data control) just on each floor. what equipment are you looking at using ??? i see from your site you install avtech. but as far as saving money. you need to look at why you need 15 monitors. for a condo its best with something like a CMS to control your viewing (saves you sitting watching 100s of cameras on 15 monitors) but before anyone can help you need to list the equipment you are thinking of using (IP is the way to go)

    QT454 DVR

NOPE. dont get mixed up with viewing and recording. ..... second line of the manual also tells you real time only in cif. so its 25fps each channel at cif or 7.5fps at D1 From there spec ---- Record Frame Rate (D1) 30FPS, (CIF) 30FPS which should say D1 30fps in total and cif 30fps each channel (total 120fps) if it was full D1 at 120fps why are they selling it as a realtime CIF Quality you can see and experience at an affordable price. This 4 channel DVR features real time CIF recording, or D1 recording at a lower frame rate,

if its a school then its council owned / if its public space (which a school is) all electrical work has to be done by a licenced company. (just power side) nothing wrong in having a company install a power point for you ... its just the the certification needs to be held by someone

i can count on 1 hand the number of cctv companies in the manchester area who are licenced to mount on power polls. so if i was you i would mount the PTZ camera on the building and do everything with existing power points. and that way you can also use the existing camera as a alarm point for te PTZ ... giving the ptz more options which is better than just a tour.

as well as setting to D1 you also have quality. if you need more than 1 image at a time then your settings need to be trigger image size D1 image quality needs to be set at 1 (your mail box may time out if you set above 3 or reject) snapshot frequency set at 3 or 4. Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

yes but only at the head end .... useless if used inline. with a modulator you also need a amp for audio. so best looking for a standard camera and seperate microphone

    Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

sorry i did not see your link. but even looking at your link and the digram that model still needs to be at the beginning of any splitter or digi box. 90% of the time if you put a modulator in secondery line it will scramble the existing tv signals or make tv unwatchable the only way if you are putting the modulator in the baby room is the coax will have to be point to point. (baby room to master room) only on a second tv just for baby monitor

    Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

have another think first. your modulator HAS to be fitted before any splitter. so that still means you have to run NEW cables from baby room down to basement. and with doing that you will also need to amplifie the audio signal. you still only have coax from baby room. you still need to get video and audio down that cable first. then into your modulator

    Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

hi. the link i sent was Video audio and power over coax. nothing else needed . i end you plug camera and audio (mic) the other end you just plug into TV. sorry thats were i got lost. you only talked about baby room master room and using the spare coax. then yes you would not use the spare coax in this case and use the existing TV feeds around the house. but you will have a problem with audio.

    Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

Thanks for the info. I think we're both on the same track. Your solution (sorta) puts me back at square one, though. If you'll take a look at the modulator I've linked in my original post, you'll see it passes audio. Now I need a camera that has both audio & video. The modulator you provided splits the audio/video at the final connection. I don't think I could inject that into a TV without an additional convertor/modulator. its just a RCA for video and RCA for audio direct into TV. i dont understand why you would need a modulator when using spare cables. spare cable from master room and spare cable from baby room link both in basement and you have a direct feed

    Here's a good one: Baby monitoring w/audio?

I've found some video/power over coax cameras, but nothing with audio. And yes, I have two free RG6 cables that meet in the garage. PM sent. these are good for video -audio and power upto 1800 ft on a standard 12v camera (you will have to add a good microphone.)

sounds like a good job for a bi wire. camera - power - audio and data ove 1 rg6 ( if both ends from each room are in the basement)
