yes admin admin is only via network. you cant use it on the dvr. username 888888 password 888888 direct from DVR for admin rights and 666666 for normal user.

hi. your camera as is will have heat in its own housing (natural heat from camera) you may be doing something that you dont need to do.

Using a star pattern for the wiring means each PTZ has its own cable running back to the the DVR or controller and no termination of last PTZ is needed. star is best if you run data to each it gives a little better security

First thing Q-see tech should have told you is admin admin is ONLY via network ..... from the unit it is username 888888 and password is 888888 if you have changed your passwords (local) then you can alter if you go in via network with admin admin

yes we use a universal OSD controller. but the camera has to be supported either via coax or rs485 not all EFFIO support it

i would mount wood or plastic first then fix the camera to that,

if your effio supports OSD. then you can buy a controller that plugs in at DVR end. around $14

take a look at the aver NV5000t its hybrid.

maplins sell the boards. but not much less than a new dvr. you will have to post a picture of your dvr. (sentient) is maplins dvr name. you could have a re badged CNM / swann or avtech

3 part. are the most common in the uk. and yes there is also a lot of people selling the 2 part which are junk. 20p a BNC

it looks like you have two H/drives. 1 will be your drive for the pc and the other for dvr. (the one for pc should not be in the system folder.) come out of DVR then go to computer and see which is the main H/D letter . then restart DVR back to system and delete that drive

hi. do you record to all drives or just 1 .... yes the right mouse click does alot of things not in the manual. net time you go into system click alarms then click add alarm then on the options on the left click your right button you will see a lot of options in 1 window it will ask you to pick a camera then it will ask you to click snap shot. it then stores that image and say if its your garden it will show you footage of anything that has been moved or added by the system matching your snap shot to what has changed ..... also face finder ...... take images of everyone who comes to your property.

hi. at least you know your way around your system ...... not many know about the right click to fix Error. what you have is a bad sector as it writes.... if it happends again just do a format and you should be ok.

Hi. another problem is how old is the DVR. not all swanns show blocks of 4 its only on the newer models. old swann units only put out a java stream so this will only give you 1 screen shot at a time. regardless of what app you use. (its the dvr not app) is yours in the list. it will work on both. but dont buy a Pot set buy a digital set they are about £29 much better to setup.
