hi. do you record to all drives or just 1 .... yes the right mouse click does alot of things not in the manual. net time you go into system click alarms then click add alarm then on the options on the left click your right button you will see a lot of options in 1 window it will ask you to pick a camera then it will ask you to click snap shot. it then stores that image and say if its your garden it will show you footage of anything that has been moved or added by the system matching your snap shot to what has changed ..... also face finder ...... take images of everyone who comes to your property.

hi. at least you know your way around your system ...... not many know about the right click to fix Error. what you have is a bad sector as it writes.... if it happends again just do a format and you should be ok.

Swann DVR....need some direction/guidance.
tomcctv replied to tomdlgns's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. another problem is how old is the DVR. not all swanns show blocks of 4 its only on the newer models. old swann units only put out a java stream so this will only give you 1 screen shot at a time. regardless of what app you use. (its the dvr not app) is yours in the list. Do/Would you display a Video Security sign?

Fiona. dont be so stupid............... see you have turned was was a joke now into sexual harassment. show me were YOU have had any sexual harassment on this forum and please look up sexual harassment and study it before you start anything. yes we do...... but you never looked out of your window you used zoom to spy. does not matter if he was in his car or you zoomed into his house window regardless of what he was doing its not on your property so it is classed as spying. see again what has the UK got to do with anything ............ you find a problem and make it 1000 times worse. Paranoia [ˌpar.rəˈnoɪ.ə] (adjective: paranoid [ˈpar.rə.noɪd]) is a thought process believed to be heavily influenced by anxiety or fear, often to the point of irrationality and delusion. Paranoid thinking typically includes persecutory beliefs, or beliefs of conspiracy concerning a perceived threat towards oneself. Making false accusations and the general distrust of others also frequently accompany paranoia. For example, an incident most people would view as an accident, a paranoid person might make an accusation that it was intentional. so fiona. just so as every other reader of this post understands I DID NOT MAKE ANY SEXUAL HARRASMENT COMMENTS TO YOU IN THIS THREAD OR ANY OTHER THREAD. so dont start that crap. -
Do/Would you display a Video Security sign?
tomcctv replied to Firefighter's topic in General Digital Discussion
it was posted as a joke........ but lets see what you turned it into ......... something to complain about but then you have to break it down to something that you can complain about. why cant it be demeaning to the guy ???...... see you look for problems that suit you. so. what has that got to do with protecting YOUR property. if you never had a PTZ you would not have seen what was going on. what did your local police say when you sent it them ??? with regards to posting images on posts ...... how do you get away with doing that ??? is there no laws -
2.1gb ??? sounds like your dvr has lost or someone has altered the path. go into setting then click system then top left you will see a list of hard drives to be used by your dvr. can you list what you have there ???

cctv rf modulator wiring and apollo hd dvr?
tomcctv replied to crow's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
no that will only allow you to view on that 1 tv. if you want DVR on all tvs then you would have to do it before your distribution box (amplifier) arial -- modulator -- distribution box----- out to all TVs ..... but this will only work on TVs that can switch to VHF -
cctv rf modulator wiring and apollo hd dvr?
tomcctv replied to crow's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. no that modulator will not work for you (not from sky) 1 is digital the other is analog. ........... this is why you are seeing cheap modulators in the uk. we have gone total digital. you can still use the one listed but only via arial .... but not all new TV will see the signal. your tv has to have the old VHF band -

Need to cut thru windshield glare...Neutral Density lens?
tomcctv replied to videoVIP's topic in Security Cameras
it never used to be a problem untill a few years ago till the likes of BMW/lexus/audi. started to use a new type of screen. 'Heat Reflective' and here in the uk its been a problem to see faces on these cars. you can see this sometimes when your driving. the car in the oposite direction the screen looks blue but as the car get closer it then allows you to see through it. to get past it. (as you see if you use toll roads) the cameras are low inline with the screen. you might have to move your camera closer and lower to get every face -
lots of people are buying that stuf off ebay from china ......... people dont understand thay buying cheap from china also gives a problem most of the time that its not licenced to be used on your country telecom network. you may get sns from it but no video. how long is your drive and do you have power at far end or anything cat5 or coax ???
-
CNB do very good PTZ cameras. with a long list to pick from. the idea is not to get caught into the auto track PTZs you only see this on cheap cameras. and its not a true auto track.
-
hi. can your software find the cameras if you plug 1 at a time direct into PC. and not router ??
-
if the camera is looking at the door from outside. then you will not need a heated camera
-
some can yes. presets are at head end.

only if you dont understand what he is talking about. its a old video but the problem is still there......... laymans terms. BB phones are used by people for business because it has its own secure data. a legal battle has been going on for years with BB. al qaeda use BB just for that reason (there data is secure) any other network can be traced or will be traced by what is called word association and this also applies to emails sent. there are some words that if you put into text or email will be logged via most country security departments
