GPS Tracking of Vehicle. Can it be done on a low scale?
tomcctv replied to Fiona's topic in General Digital Discussion
or record data via remote. we are talking GSM/GPS................ dont just think how a satnav works. again its gsm. so can switch on and of remotely or a unit with SD logger on board. so yes lots to take into account because there are so many units available. -
we have found that IR is not good in a night club area. but what you have to think about is the type of lighting you find in night clubs UV which can and does play a very good part in providing lighting for a good TDN camera. this image if seen by the eye is a dark area but UV lighting gives cameras a good image. rooms in the same club (this club is over 4 floors) has room from near pich black to 1 that is called the white room. we also have pubwatch in most parts of the uk and use the aver face finder

hi. is the 3VR just a face finder ?? looking at there video demo it not far from many systems now that use facefinder. as far as cameras we use CNB no ir at all in our night clubs. (and not with the monalisa chip)

T-mobile will do a sim ........ remember most sims also have data attached ..... you just need calls. t-mobile do $10 and its active for 12 months. t-mobile also do security sims. $5 a month the 90 days is if you run out of credit and dont top up in 90 days then sim is terminated. but were not talking about price or a normal sim. its best talking to your cell provider and ask the price of a security sim. (sims for pir sensor)

with a ptz you will miss something if it happend ........... i know you say you only need 6 cameras but you would have to buy a 8 way dvr anyway so i would go to 8 cameras for more coverage.

hi ak357. with a contract sim then yes you will have a monthly charge. but with the likes of t-mobile and vodafone. you would use a pay as you go sim card with just $5 on it. as long as the sim always has credit it will always stay active. and since to dial to the GSM will not cost anything (because the call is never answered) it will always stay at $5. the only time it would cost is if you also use the alarm output (say gates are forced open) then the GSM will send you a text which does have a text charge. but still you would need 100s of texts to use up the $5

soundy has got it right. we use kinetic changers lots out there and cheap. ....... the only problem with hardwire when doing covert stuff is on cars over the last few years things like stop lights and lights is most cars have Resistance Measurements which tell you if you have a bulb out -
hi yes they both have pre amps (power gives it away) both the same in your links except the bottom one is for 10. so thats a $1 a mic. i would pay a bit more than that. is this for a customer or for yourself ?
-
cellular. but with no costs.

hi John. with the ganz software disk you should have on it a prog called ip discovery tool. you can loads it from ganz uk site if its not on disk.
-
no. the module just sits at gate (works with 90% of openers) its GSM so you progamme each phone to be used and just push 5 on mobile to open gates. same from house programme a speed dial key on every phone in the house again can be 5 to open gates ..... two gates 1 being 5 the other being 6
-
would network not limit you to what mobile you can do with a mobile. are you looking to see video while opening gates
-
PM sent. if you still have problems after that. then you need to PM me the S/ number from the back of your DVR. to generate a new password.
-
which password are you using ??
-
Hi Brandon. have you thought about GSM we make are own. good thing about GSM is your customer can open the gates from anywhere. plus it gives more protection. if gates are forced open it sends a text and also if left open

your on a BT 2 wire router. why not just setup via services and not nat. your dvr is the avtech like i said posts back. iphone is eagleye. all ports are good but as you can see they are directed via external ip. delete all your settings. then go into services then click add. and make a new rule for each i.e cctv1 port directed to dvr and do that for each port. click apply all done -

its not expensive. basic kits with google maps are $130. we even have a little GPS that you attach to a horses. if the horse is away from a home in a remote field. the owner can set the field area on google and if the horse is stolen or gets out of the field it sends alarm with google maps on the location. gps use to be expensive
