  1. hi. yes just a update will sort it. also (aver usa) dont tell you is if you open ports when port forwarding if you open 56 and 1056 it will update everytime there is one. Sean if you send me your logo i will remove all aver and install yours (with software for all avers)
  2. i think aver usa are slow on the firmware and the relese notes. when the aver nano first came out it was just 2.3 but within a week it had to change being new it had some problems march 2011 a new software was relest to fix and its now the same as all the new eh .... 16th of december 2011 another firmware came out and all aver outlet should have reset all existing nanos before they sold. all nanos 4-8-16 are all the same uk/usa/fr/es/tw. all nanos should be on 7.5.0.145a software. the download is on the USA website. this is the new spec with what was fixed. http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?rls=com.microsoft%3A*%3AIE-SearchBox&oe=UTF-8&hl=en&q=cache:bx8JtUIYqlMJ:http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/download/EHseries/EH1000H/EH1000H_Nano_Series_H8.03.02.00.10_Release_Notes.pdf+EH1000H-4+Nano+series+H8.03.02.00.10+Release+Note&ct=clnk

DVR Mouse Operation thru IP KVM

well that was a 100% option .... vga sling box usb to sling box. .........remote end slingbox window and remote buddy to move mouse. any way back to your idea KVM ....... HOW DO YOU GET YOUR VGA OUT OVER THE INTERNET mouse yes but you still need your screen to SEE the mouse. your screen on dvr and mouse are as one. you need both anyway am done.
  4. yes 12 months (exchange) not money back ..... remember you bought secondhand (they call it B grade) if installing yourself then £400 is good. dahua dvr and dahua cameras. take alook around the forum about info for dahua. (type in search) there is a distributor in bolton. if you pm me ill pass you his details.

DVR Mouse Operation thru IP KVM

do you mean when camera ficks from 1 to another ???? ok if you say slingbox does not work (i know 100% it does) you have tour on remote.
  6. look at it another way its a "B" grade it has only a month warranty. after that your stuck with crap what is your budget and where are you based

DVR Mouse Operation thru IP KVM

ok look at it this way......... you want the dvr screen if you want to use a mouse to control .... so you need to get the video out (the vga on your dvr) to the internet and also the usb mouse. can i ask why you cant just use the remote viewer .......... what are you looking to gain. you can watch / play back / record / move cameras and take recording off. your dvr is $90 slingbox with remote buddy is around $280 and you need 8. why ??
  8. maplins b grade are customer returns for reasons like not working or not what they expected......... i would return your unit ..... dont spend time on it. another problem with maplins is you will find you will have problems on memory pen format whichwill not allow you to burn off. try and burn and view some of your footage (it takes about 1 to 2 hours to burn 20 mins)
  9. night devils do come with a big problem if used to catch a face close up. to the point you cant use it in court. it does some very clever tricks but the result is you end up with a Animation. it takes the light of parts and it fills in the rest. the result is you end up with a cartoon .... something out of shek. http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=AqFOSCFZ2DI&feature=endscreen if you want to spend £150 on a night devil ..... it is a brand of system q you will find it cheaper there.
  10. hi both are dahua and both use the same remote viewer and are the same to setup. am not a big fan of domes with built in IR ...... qvis winner 5 are good low light (no IR)

DVR Mouse Operation thru IP KVM

the only way you are going to be able to do this ... slingbox. as well as getting your mouse over the internet you also need to feed your vga out from the dvr. as that is the only screen that you can control with a mouse. but is you want to view your dvrs and not let the people there see you are watching then that is another problem. if you had a PC system then it would be easy. your only option is the remote software
  12. hi. all the nanos are in total 10mp 4/8/16 but its best to run under the max all nano eh are 5mp on channel 1 ....... 2.3 is the max for cannel 2-3-4. i.e channel 1, 5mp so 2-3-4 are 1.3 in total channel 1, 3mp so channel 2 can be 2.3 and 3-4 are 1.3

DVR Mouse Operation thru IP KVM

use the software...... it is that simple. you have remote and a cms from that maker.
  14. you need to change supplier if he is charging you 760 for a 200 camera. also xgb-20 and the xgb-21 are the same camera so why is he charging you an extra $60 the huviron is around the 190.
  15. it depends on which unit you are using nano is ONLY upto 5mp on channel 1 the rest upto 1.3. sa and touch are max of 42mp in total
  16. you installed 1 last week ..... viewtopic.php?f=6&t=28967 these cameras are new to the market. so if you can get them secondhand at £200 less. then i should think they are junk if someone has changed them already. but for £70 it may be worth it ...... better than paying £278.60 / $434.62

    NV5000 and BSOD

on the MB fan. take it off and when you turn it over you might see a little crack in the spline case. ssen this a few times with Asus. it will start up but over a hour or so you will see it slow down or even stop and start. as it gets warm the crack opens up a little and the fan does not spin on the spline (at the speed it should) are you just using these as analog or as hybrids.
  18. it all depends who you call. it has nothing to do with a scam. or anything to do with high price. out of the two that is what i would use for your licence plates

    AVTECH DVR management- questions

software is not a problem http://www.ussscctv.com/downloadsguidesandsupport.aspx your problem is doing the upgrade. via remote. avtech is always best from thub drive. if they are all over the globe have someone load the updates there ..... do it over the net and it fails then your dvrs are off and you cant get them back on again.
  20. i did state motion detect. but with a normal camera with built in IR there is not much you can do anyway (another reason why you dont use built-in ir)

    NV5000 and BSOD

1 fan is not enough you also have good heat from graphics card you need at least 3 and 1 of which needs to pull in air.

fan failure or not cooling your drives. how many drives in each and how many cameras ??
  23. wow its getting very technical. you could always remove the subatomic hadron particle let the water dissolve the neutron frame work and block it with a nuclear filter. but i have found it much easier if you just use a motion light with pir sensor. if its bright enough it will switch your ir off. remember you are talking about fog. i dont see the point in modifying a camera just to deal with a problem that only happends with fog

viewing from every Tv in the house

have you seen the price and shipping costs ??? get me 2.
  25. i dont think is domination be it dahua or any other company or if its about a dvr or a camera. yes you see alot of talk about dahua and also alot of talk on here about CNB. it just that the equipment works. no name brands dont last dont work and are given specs that people dont understand. and most of the time untrue. dahua have been in the industry a long time and make for other big brand names 75% of hikvision is dahua. there new range of cards are dahua. and its been like that for 10 years or more. other makes like avtech/CMN/ q-see / swann are all below what i would call a budget system most of which are rebranded TVT. (except) avtech. cameras. are the big problem. many times you see this stuff from ebay images from the cameras makes grass look dead and brown. blue cars look gray ..... there is no need to buy cameras that cant give true colours.
