Two Cameras with using baluns on cat5e
tomcctv replied to daniel11's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
hi. with baluns you only need 1 pair for each camera. I.E blue = + blue /white = - also are you using baluns -
thats 1 thing geo have been asked to do for years is drag and drop screen images. they still have not done it. you are best just chaging the BNC connectors in the order you want the view.

samsung sir-4160 wiring help
tomcctv replied to double4trouble's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. cut before the OSD control or after ?? -
hi. as well as all the geo stickers and holi and serial number there is another mark that your card has. start with your ram put two 512s in
-
your card looks good you even have a little security built into the back of the boad that your card also has. you may just have a driver problem (graph card ) do a update. how much ram do you have. this can also effect frame rate. it may be too low (2x 512mb) is needed

i know you ask for advice but then you come back with something else that has problems. the cameras you have listed are surface mount .... if you need the back box then each camera is going to cost you $340. in your first post you wanted remote viewing. samsung is limited. you will find installing in every location a CNB VCM 24VF will do everything you need and are a lot cheaper than the bosh. i know you keep side steping the dahua but the dvrs you are listing are CIF or discontinued cost more or are expensive DIY kits. a good dahua apollo CNB VCM 24VF cameras will do everything you need. its not a budget system is a working system since you have said you are quoting for the job (i thought it was your home) you dont want to qoute fit and then have to replace fixed lens cameras because they are not doing the job (that will be at your cost) -

CNB cameras are good. and much better than the budget no name. the problem is the DVR. 1. in your plan you need more than 4 ... 2. the cnb is D1 only on first channel and the rest is cif. if your budget is only allowing for 4 cameras. i would still allow for a 8 way dvr and add cameras later. otherwise you will be buying twice. cameras are fine. but i would say atleast by a full D1 recorder (you will wish you had) -
Hi. how do you have the camera wired up. are you using conduit ? a lot of people forget heat will follow the cable outlet. so your dome never builds up the heat it needs. if you are on conduit undo it just as it enters the camera and fill the inside with silicon. this will stop the heat leaving the dome and escaping down the conduit. it is also good to cover the base in silicon as this also covers all fixing points (pre drilled holes) you just need to look at anywhere heat can escape from your camera

Looking for log in address for ipad
tomcctv replied to Zohan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
i never mentioned anything about remote viewing. live and remote are two different things. remote will all depend on the network and to which you have the stream set to and it will always be a lower fps that message means you have not used the ipad app. you have called up the webviewer. (you cant run that on iphone or pad. -
it is between 21 and 31 days it depends on the area you are in. they dont distroy it. its a ovewrite that the system does they should always have play back of the 21 or 31 days. are you looking for footage ??? as the questions you ask i know you dont own the system.

Looking for log in address for ipad
tomcctv replied to Zohan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
remote viewing is away from the unit (over network) and you will not get 7.5 fps from the unit (monitor) 4 cameras are fine. but say you install in a gas station and you have a problem and its covered by 5-or 7 cameras. when you hit playback it is slow. the system is fine for home use but not for commercial use -

HI. there is no such thing as low end system for $5-700. you miay see them for sale at ebay or sams club but they are just made up of junk. no name brand. so no support and most of the time very bad images and in some cases you cant play footage back. the least you should be looking at is budget named units. still come with problems but have support q-see avtech cnm for your $2000 budget then you will have support and software updates keeping your system much more upto date than any of the above. aver. dahua qvis everfocus sanyo. box systems everything in 1 box are a waste of money. buy the time you have changed the bad components like camera cable / power supply and replaced some of the cameras because you cant see at night or it does not cover the view you need. you do end up spending more -

bosh are now hybrid with the dvr still only in cif but limited to cameras (IP) but if you have a 2-3k budget then there are other hybrid systems. bosh have remote app problems so make shure the one you pick does have remote viewing. other hybrids . 3xLOGIC’s aver qvis or build your own nvr some ip cameras -
Can you advise a balun? Baluns, Connectors or the Cold
tomcctv replied to PaulsonLaw's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
yes 42 posts back when soundy posted the link from the site "these are not baluns" i know you say you have good images with the connecters (but you do say you have a ground problem) why not just listen and try two baluns just to see you image quality go better but before you do REMOVE all your bonding. baluns can go pop -

tomcctv replied to PaulsonLaw's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
well thats one way of saying its fixed. but i will tell you how you think it is fixed. you still have a monitor image problem (like you say) so you still have the problem. downloading footage onto memory will still show IF it is a good res. but its sounds as if your only on CIF it may not show as bad in cif. if your dvr has a external power supply. then look on the back it will say class2 -

tomcctv replied to mpovolo's topic in General Digital Discussion
i will have to send you my manual .... aver has not put half the things it can do. you dont need another card to change to 8. just a $40 expantion card. this then gives you 4 ip and 4 analog the nv is getting some good updates. if you are using the aver ddns then they will update but if not keep looking at the new firmware -

its brand new on the market started out as an 8 way. it has the same process power as the 4 and 8 nano which is not enough for it to be 16 way. show 1 screen on playback or even 4 its fine go 8 or 16 then you may as well go make a coffee so as you have something to do while it tries to sort its self out. i have been an aver installer for 8 years and this is the first time i will talk anyone out of using 1. and i will tell you also that aver knows of the problem i think you will see it replaced soon . -

zohan. you need to load the aver app first for ipad or iphone the ip with mobile at the end is just a static test and has nothing to do with remote viewing. if you load and run the aver app then you will see a big differance. nano 16 @7.5fps is only on single camera display go 4 8 or 16 camera display and you will see the problems -
