systems that have proprierty wiring are just too expensive and everything has an extra cost. DVR goes down you cant just buy another unless the same but if you wanted to use or upgrade to something else you cant. not without extra costs. most of the time these systems cost more than standard BNC

Question using aver hybrid
tomcctv replied to Zohan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
they have always had a 32 way hybrid. SA range. but yes also with CMS and CMS pro you can watch and operate all the range together. they are going to drop some of there range eh5 and NV3000 cards only because you can buy the new range of nano 4-8-16 cheaper than building a NV3000 nanos are there budget so no there is no hdmi but on the SA and windows based then you do. -

12V PTZ no power over 200ft siamese, but will 2 ft away.
tomcctv replied to paulnye's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Seems a pretty smart idea. For $7 I can get one of those. http://www.securitystoreusa.com/DV-AT12015-D01-p/dv-at12015-d01.htm yes this will also work. but just to point out something you have listed your PTZ as 3.6amp i think you ment 1.5 amp this is why all the calculations are wrong. we are only talking 60m (200ft) -
Question using aver hybrid
tomcctv replied to Zohan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
on the avr the gb port on unit (it has both) just select network storage in system. no you dont need a HD. but its always best to have something in. even if its just a 250g and you only get a few days recording it will be a backup if your external fails or your network goes down. -
hi. yes lt looks like it has .......... it has gone black and white

Ground Loop in System, DVR has Ground, where to connect?
tomcctv replied to coreyman's topic in Digital Video Recorders
that will be 5 connection on each camera you are best going direct dvr to camera with baluns. i know you have tried to make your install look good but the less connections you have the better. i would remove your BNC plate and insert a balun direct to cat5 you can then run rg59 from the balun to dvr and then cover the connection on the wall with a blanking plate -
Ground Loop in System, DVR has Ground, where to connect?
tomcctv replied to coreyman's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi cat5 is 100ohms so you need baluns at each end to give you 75ohms which is standard for analog cameras so your out of balance -
Ground Loop in System, DVR has Ground, where to connect?
tomcctv replied to coreyman's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Here they are, http://www.ebay.com/itm/220817752614?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1423.l2649#ht_1908wt_1163 they are inside the wall on the other side of the bnc keystone connected to the cable. They also do not appear to be 'actual baluns'. Hi. there is your problem you must run baluns at each end you dont have a ground problem you cameras are out of balance. sorry i dont understand why you have gone though so many connections on each camera (which can also give you problems) so you have (from wall) BNC then Keystone then cat5 to camera then the ebay connection ???? -

all avigilon cameras server and switchers for £7.600 including uk vat and canadian tax.
-
with both being on the internet. your PCs could have just done an update. (the reason for the restart) you could run i check software from your system. but do you have the serial numbers to hand for your cards? also what part of spain are you in with your oter dvr. lots of network upgrades going on in parts of spain. and some homes have been put on shared networks while new exchanges are built. which could slow your system down for remote viewing.

Ground Loop in System, DVR has Ground, where to connect?
tomcctv replied to coreyman's topic in Digital Video Recorders
is this all you have at the dvr end ????? -
it will be down to a bad fitted hard drive. you get this with cheap dvrs or fitted by someone who has not used the H/D fixing kit.

Maplin Sentient 4 Channel Network DVR lost ActiveX Plugin
tomcctv replied to zekezchry's topic in Digital Video Recorders
i would not disable any security settings till you have found this problem you will damage your operating system The Inst4TWN.exe file can be a legitimate system file or a disguised threat to the computer as it is very easy for malicious threats to disguise themselves as genuine Inst4TWN.exe file and cause harm to your system. Once the Inst4TWN.exe is infected, it will not only attack your computer; delete necessary system files without letting you know. -
Can you mount DVR sideways as long as the fans blow up?
tomcctv replied to PaulsonLaw's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
so long as you dont block vents or fan then you will have no problems but for $10 and you are using a DVR an extra fan is always a good idea have 1 pulling in and 1 pulling out. -
Maplin Sentient 4 Channel Network DVR lost ActiveX Plugin
tomcctv replied to zekezchry's topic in Digital Video Recorders
pinging the ip will still not tell you that you are using the right port. you need to list your DVR settings. your not windows based so you cant. Inst4TWN.exe is on your pc that you are using to view your cctv and has nothing to do with your dvr inst4twn.exe is a process from -. It can be found in the location of C:\Program Files\Common Files.inst4twn.exe is a potential security risk which can be modified maliciously by virus. inst4twn.exe virus should be disabled and removed if it was attacked and brought you inst4twn.exe error. -
what is your budget for this ???
