  1. i dont think you have a active x problem at all. you still should be able to log on to your dvr with HD installed or not. this may be your problem. what you may have done with the reset is removed your dvrs local ip settings you may have to manal input them again
  2. but a good statement. like the op says NEW-guy questions. so just letting him know 100m is not the limit for cat5 with his baluns
  3. cat5 is good for 1000s of meters when used with baluns
  4. hi. lots of ways but without knowing cameras used or distance .... but from what i can make out is your not on IP ???? your using a DVR.
  5. hi. you would be using just the same for analog or ip. except you then have the £500 cost of returning from IP back to BNC never mind the cost of the ip cameras (which you are not going to use the full benifit of) all as you are looking to do is get video images from 1 building to the other it has nothing to do with your Hirsch Door Access system with Velocity running on the server that is done from your dvr.

    1480 card

ok stick with your 8.01 and download the updates i.e mobile. it just would have been alot easier to have followed what GEO software was telling you to do. you will find the patches on the same site

    1480 card

hi. yes it will also give you the link to the software 8.01. i know you say you have that but it has new features. plus it will verifi your card .... then run it again and see if you can use a pen to update further.
  8. Hi so is the CNB .... do you have the one with the green connector or red power jack ??

    1480 card

Hi. use the same link in your last post to see which upgrade you can use. same again you have to run it from the geo pc. load it onto a memory pen for future use. it will save you a lot of problems http://www.remote-security.com/update/D ... en8010.zip
  10. hi. you still never listed which ip you will be using. (they have to be Compatible) you still can save yourself a lot of time and money if you are using AD analog system then why not just run analog over your fiber and not have the large cost of ip to analog decoders.
  11. Hi. can you list what IP cameras you have ??? going backwards is expensive and to be honest a waste of money. 1st you have the cost of your ip then the fiber link then the network setup and convert back to analog. the decoder you have listed is £250 x 2 = £500 it would have been cheaper to have run cat5 and 2 analog cameras. or your other option still cheaper change your dvr for a hybrid still cheaper than using decoders and you will get the best out of your ip (if they are MP)
  12. Sika4. are you in the UK. ???

    need help identifying a card

is there any way of telling? let's assume it is a legit GV card...does it matter which version/type i select to install? if it does, there has to be better way to determine what type of hardware i have here. thanks also age can tell. your cards must be over 3 years old (you have no geo holigram) also geo mark there matrix chip with which card it is. if you reinstall the card and run this on the system you will know if you have a clone or not. http://www.remote-security.com/update/Detection_Tool_en8010.zip
  15. you may have known if you deal with CPS or if you make a living collecting footage for court services or if you do any work with DPA. just in the past 6 months in uk 3 people have not been charged by any court for defending there home or small buisness. QUOTE" in June, a burglar was stabbed to death and a homeowner arrested. Peter Flanagan, 59, was told last week by the Crown Prosecution Service that he would not face charges because he had acted in self-defence and with reasonable force. now that is from the court service.
  16. uk law was changed 2011. you can protect yourself in your home or small buisness
  17. ilkie. have you had a fall or something i speak to you on the phone we have met i view times let me give you another clue ........ Video Forensics we both know danny parks am going to keep you guessing for a long long long time. i have the stream but yes there is 2 problems 1 NEEDS player software (to be original) but the main problem which CPS and the solicitors are hot on at the moment is the system is not registered with DPA

Hi. they may be............... could import them direct. what is a concern is the amount of company names comming out of that same office. (lots of comany cctv names) just send CNB a email and ask them

    ahh I see

chesterfield you still dont understand how avigilon works. YOU CANT BUY FROM AN INSTALLER not in the uk. unless you are a airport/ ship dock / customs house. you WILL not get them to install for you not in a domestic house. as far as the sites you have found in the uk. 1 being in kent. avigilon withdraw there partnership in 2008. check company house. then there is the bad part. you know what will happen after the install you can tell from your posts you will start to bargin on price you will want this cheaper that cheaper you are just an installers nightmare. so long as you are ok it does not matter if the installer can put food on his family table or not.
  22. hi. images and converted footage sent. if you have problems let me know.

  24. Hi. you have a avtech DVR. i have looked at your footage and you only have 5 seconds of them taking the camera so no point in video. however you can take a snap shot of there face. which is at 14.54 if you cant take the snap PM me and ill do it for you. you have 4 days left before it gets deleted. were are you based and who fitted your camera 5ft high. the little guy must only be 10-11 and he can reach your cameras.
