  1. Hi on your first two pictures ….. you connect VGA on back of recorder to VGA marked on back of tv. to get your unit to talk with your pc ….. first you need to get your system up and running first as the software for your pc is taken from your dvr once all up and running remote viewing is done by an app called explorer which is found on apple store or play store

    Update Firmware

Hi first came out in 2010 ….. there is no updates for that unit updating firmware will not update the hardware it’s a D1 resolution dvr (which is low by todays standard) unit will not even allow the use of its apps
  3. Hi with having 16 cameras I would use both it gives you better security depending how many Poe ports you get on the nvr i would keep all internal on nvr POE with some high outdoor cameras also direct to nvr POE Any low outdoor cameras I would have on a Poe switch reason being is someone gets to the low cameras and cuts or pulls off it can short out POE so keeping seperate keeps rest of system working

seeking HDMI-output 4K video camera, small

Hi that video shows exactly what I am saying I know Shawn so I know you can ask him questions but I’ll point out parts of the video first most cameras used to have a tv output for setup and spot monitoring …… but over the years digital has done away with analog….. so it’s just changed to hdmi now what the video does not tell you is you have not control over the video from the hdmi not even audio ….. it is just spot monitor what you see on the video is the camera feed to a pc or nvr ….. video does not mention that but the camera needs a network connection to have control and audio and to operate video shows nice mouse control and menu option changes and settings Which is something you can’t do by just plugging into tv hdmi……. Tv does not have a operating system on it to control hdmi camera ……. It is just a spy monitor you still need network connection for camera to work sorry I’m wrong

    new to IP systems

Hi yes it is except op did say can’t run cables to camera locations plus you have given diagram for 650ft run which is also not needed so a Poe switch with power adapter give the option to run 4 cameras with no cables back to nvr

    Longse

Hi Yes a boot logo can be changed and we have discussed this topic many times on the forum most of the time it seems pointless…… boot up logo is only displayed for a few seconds on startup and it also comes with its own problems if you change it boot logo is only a small file …. People who want to change it for there own usually try to load a large file with lots of colours and graphics and this will give you problems as in the logo file is too big and will prevent recorder starting up…… or will startup but not enough ram or memory for system to be reliable yes it’s nice to have your company name show on startup but selling a system as your own falls apart when customer uses the real manufacturers app for P2P remote viewing just like Longse who does not make the unit just rebadged….. they don’t have a app for remote …. You have to use the manufacturers app but to change the logo you will need a firmware file for the model of recorder you have. open that file on a pc …. Go into system files then look for bitmap file ….. open it and you will see a number of images …. Boot logo / screen gui image/ fonts/ click on boot logo ….. and you can delete and install image of your choice ….KEEP NEW LOGO the same file size as the one you removed or you might kill the unit like I have said in the past if your not comfortable doing this then instead of inserting a new logo just remove the old one by deleting it from setup and the recorder will not show any boot up logo ….. it just goes straight to screen gui (Which is best) also remember doing logo change will void any warranty you have with your supplier

    new to IP systems

Ok then the best way is to use two power line units …. It’s cheapest and best way they turn your existing power cables into network something like this https://www.tp-link.com/uk/home-networking/powerline/tl-pa7017-kit/

    new to IP systems

seeking HDMI-output 4K video camera, small

hi no they don’t make them ……don’t get caught in the hik sales trap ….. your link for Hikvision 4K HDMI Does not mean you can connect using hdmi to tv cable …… it only means hdmi quality…. Which most cameras are now you still need a pc or nvr to run the network camera

    sde-4001n android software

Hi. Your system would of used the Ipolis app the wiseview will not work on your system your problem is having a 15 year old system as apps had updates your dvr unit did not. Support stopped for your system in 2015 Unfortunately you can use your system as is with windows viewer (but support has ended) and your other problem is your cameras are not compatible with a modern dvr ….. if I remember your cameras are connected via rj10 plugs
  20. Hi …. It depends on the number of cameras and nvr power drew 100w dc is only 6amp so can’t run much and without battery storage you will have no night protection if you own and rent out the premises then why not use the power already in place ……just add extra meter for system power usage

    HIK Vision - Networking Issues

Hi …as you can see looking in history of forum … I hate hikvision ….. cameras are ok but recorders and there app are useless…. to old and to much information collecting do you know the make of your power line addaptors and data transfer rate … are you using a hi-view recorder ?
  22. Ok that system you have is a TVT nvr (very good system) remote viewing is done with a app called SuperLive plus what problems are you having
  23. Ok … that unit does not need updating Are you a business or for home use and can you edit your last post and remove the picture were are you based
  24. Hi. Upgrading firmware will be a mistake especially on a falcon unit. The falcon name was used on a few nvr brands so wrong firmware will kill your unit to determine which unit you have ….. do you use a app for remote viewing ? can you post a image of menu screen
  25. YOU HAVE A RF CHINA UNIT NOT A DAHUA this might make it clear for you companies like rf copy units …… lookup dahua copy or hik but let’s see how your looking wrong YOU DO NOT HAVE A NVR5416IP-4k-ks which is the right part number for dahua unit DAHUA don’t use or have NVD 5416IP-4k part number …… dahua also print there name on the identity label ……. Yours does not have that ITS A COPY AND YOU WILL NOT GET GENUINE DAHUA FIRMWARE TO WORK ON IT i could send you the past 10 years dahua firmware but it’s pointless However RF have that model software on there website ……. Which I have posted many times for you I have been buying direct from dahua since 2004
