    Blacked-out channels

hi. first we do need to know if your card is legit (if you talked to a authorised geo) they would have also told you pre 2006 will not run on the newer software. can you run this from your system and list your findings. http://www.remote-security.com/update/Detection_Tool_en8010.zip you may need to buy (if legit) a usb software lock (only from geo)

hi annie. do you know the make of your dvr
  10. what are you using ? a cellphone changer ??? you need 500ma or 1 amp for ir camera at that distance
  11. hi it does not matter what software you are using or HD space its what comes from the camera and your panasonic is 30fps @ 192 x 144 and 7-12fps @ 640 x 480. these are your cameras limit you cant make it better. i call what you have as a VGA webcam system very limited in use. you are just on the boader of ip or analog. you would have had a faster system if analog and dvr

    Multi-locale cloud-hosted NVR viable?

hi. with mix of analog and ip then you need a hybrid geovision will charge you for each ip camera used. the small 8 way aver nano will do what you need 1 at each store and CMS at head office. http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/embedded-hybrid-DVR-EH1008H-4-Nano CMS is free http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/product/CM3000 and you get all this free. http://uk.surveillance.aver.com/series/software

    system questions

that rules out 90% of DVRs on the market then. there are no problems with running active x the only problem is using NO name brands you have no support at all. dont read reviews on amazon or ebay. most of the time they are by the seller and most of the time they no nothing about cctv JUST sales. go for the apollo if your budget allows. along with the CNB VCM-24VF you will have a good system with good mobile and remote viewing
  16. return IS your best option. if you are getting no support from new in 6 months you will have more problems
  17. tomcctv

    Help choosing some cameras ...please

no not the Trojan stick with the apollo

    NV3000 Windows 7 64bit

then you have a very old card also if you have more than 1 IP camera then you should have gone for the NV5000. this problem does not exist on aver cards if it is under 2 years old. but my big problem with your post. is i dont think you are using a aver card anyway. this is not a aver screen shot from a NV i.e no controls no play back aver put the time date in every window it has never been at the bottom. hint## dont buy aver from china or ebay this is not aver. this is aver.

    Help choosing some cameras ...please

good dvr. as for cameras there is alot between them all good price. but each has differant lens types. you could just buy 1 of each and test in each of your locations. that way you will find which to order for each location
  22. thats another problem ..... if the camera is 10ft away from pc then fine .... if not you will have powe problems
  23. HD for $40 will not be quality it sounds just like a web cam you do need more fps having 1 fps is useless. . and you need good software which you dont get with webcams take a look at axis or panasonic panasonic is a good price.
