Can I use the PSS Software Bundled with Dahua on another..
tomcctv replied to lselfstorage's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. yes if your using server e then you have the rebranded avtech. and will using server e they are a few years old. avtech i would say are the low end budget DVR. what i meen bt that is its the lowest you would buy before going into un named brands. still has support and are good for what they are. Dahua ... people say domestic or low end but infact they make for big boys such as hikvision. dahua will do the job that you need -
hi. it will be best if you contact the company who repaired your camera and ask them to send you a new fly lead. and fit that back to your camera. the reason being if you cut out the OSD you have no camera menu settings for setup.

Can I use the PSS Software Bundled with Dahua on another..
tomcctv replied to lselfstorage's topic in Digital Video Recorders
swann also sell avtech re badged this is why you have eyemax. and the other problem is swann units dont link to each other as different brands. swann dvrs are low end if you are looking for off site monitoring and recording then you need good software for it to be reliable -

go on admit it the E-crap post is yours. how many times have you talked about clone cards in your posts .... geo 800 16 $550 your full built system $600 thats $50 for a new PC that cant be done. this post might help cheap geo DVR = http://www.online-calculator.com/ crap
-
Hi geo 800 16 will cost $500 -$600. so i think it is safe to say you will be buying a clone. no support at all and you have NO warranty. geo clones have become a big problem we have just saved you alot of money buy something that works with it - Qvis Apollo Pro 16 way (dahua) will do the same as the geo and more and its got warranty
-
Hi. taken from your E-crap listing Warranty All Hardware components come with a standard one year warranty from their respective manufacturers. Please contact the manufacturer directly for warranty service. geo will not give you warranty from a 3rd party . you will waste $600

any Analog. and most ip. BUT CHECK FIRWARE
-
all 4 types of software are free ...... you dont need to carry any disks around as everything is downloaded from the dvr even internet setup is easy just click on link select DVR follow settings make password and your done free ddns http://ddns.avers.com.tw/

hi. they are webviwer snaps and not remote viwer software. all avers have the same screen on the system or away from the system looks like this
-
hi. you have the same screen when viewing remote as you do on the system its self. you can do everything you can as if at the dvr or airport the other side of the world you just need the internet. i will PM you the manual.
-
call mark back and ask him to put someone else on who has been there longer. you dont need the monitor on or connected all the time. and yes you can control the dvr remote. via remote viewer or CM3000 or remote admin software. did you try the BB demo ?
-
15fps is all you need you cant see the differance 15 or 30. the mono. you have listed is not as good as you think it is. 30fps is ALL 4 so 7.5 fps is your max per camera Recording speed: 30fps @ 720x480, 60fps @ 720x240, 120fps @ 360x240 the little aver will do everything you need http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/products/hybrid-dvrs/eh1004h.asp software and demo for you to try. http://www.averdigi.com/Support/DownloadDetail.aspx?id=270

Loss of Power over long cable run - Please Help
tomcctv replied to Syz's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Syz. the problem with cctv kits is they are put together on a min budget to sell. so you get cheap cable and limited power supplies. as a kit they work. the problem is when you need to extend the cables this makes the cheap lead kits usless and also the power supply. your power supply may be 12v 300ma which will be ok for the kit but as soon as you extend a cable your 300ma needs to be 500ma and you are getting to the max limit for the cheap cable. quick solution pull cat5 to your cameras use baluns on 1 pair for video and the other 3 pair for power or the two cameras you need to extend you can have both cameras and power down the 1 cat5 with power. -
jcanker. i knew you would take it the wrong way. and DID read your post. in your first post , it must have had plugs on to have warranty. multi meter would have solved the problem. thats my point. never use pre made cables. 1000s of non brand cameras. did you cut the cable before or after the OSD switch ??? (have you taken it out of the cable ??
-
so why did you chop the wire ??? thats the same with most. well the manager did have a turn-key system with modular plugs till you chopped the plugs off (nothing to do with the last installers) if the cameras dont have power protection then you may have fried them ..... and you cant return them time for you to hold your hands up and get a local cctv company in ............. sorry jcanker for sounding hard

protect101 the ebay listing is S/H junk its too old ..... no point in buying a good quality camera and recording in bad quality. with your budget the link to the avtech is your best option they are a good camera 1.3mp record to your pc. have alerts sent to your mobile audio or you can just get a dahua dvr with a good camera for £200 (brand new with hard drive)

Good License Plate camera for under $150?
tomcctv replied to jokerone's topic in General Digital Discussion
junk. watch out for china crap. if you want a camera like that look at geovision anpr but alot more money. your problem is going to be the 100ft (30m) what will you be recording on ..... you also need a good FPS unit. -
that just as long as Scorpion has been missing. scorpion you have been AWOL again
-
Hi protect101. your problem is just needing 1 camera. which leaves you with two options a network camera like the one in earlier post. http://avn80x.blogspot.com/ this will record to your pc and have mobile viewing you can buy from the bottom of the link (maplins) but you will need a outdoor housing. going analog get a little harder as you cant record direct to h/drive. so you need a single channel (usb recorder) which are not the best things. or for your budget you could install a light camera with SD card recording. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vg__ZGq2OJY&feature=related

hi. we need to know your firmware to send you the latest ip patch. which cameras are you thinking of using ?
-
hi. before you do any IP on your SA can you list the firmware you are on. (while system is runing press F1) and how old is your unit. the SA will run most ip cameras but just need to find out if you have the best firmware.
-
thats 200m power down cat 5. under powered cameras can give the same effect as electrical interferance. are you running 12 or 24v what amps and what camera are you using

What camera is needed to see small details?
tomcctv replied to Ira's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
the axis is in your budget. but seems alot of money just to watch indicators. so the little axis can earn its money while you dont need it watching indicators you can spin it around to do security work i.e watch doors or work area. -
Eco9 for $100 that will be scrap value. if it has a CD on board then your unit is worth $500 if you have been using a DM then DONT go q-see or Gadspot your just going backwards. if you have the Eco9 with CD just do a service repair (send back to DM)
