Sorry dustmop. can only give you 9 out of 10 for that install. yellow ties would have got you a 10. (just cant get the staff) after you re-wired. Did it work. before and after you seem to have ditched 40 odd connections

hi ljarrald thats an old video and it never took off infact it was pointless for the security industry. the guys mistake was showing a bank clark being held up and saying he could identify the robber while he walked down the street. (as good as a finger print) 99.9% of robbers dont walk. same as in the white paper showed I.e learns how people walk but as soon as you put the guy into his working boots nice heavy steel cap. the walk is not the same as his nice comfortable trainners.

i have only used the aver screens. adding none avers monitors to the PC based is not a problem. you can do the same with the nano. open software on pc and insert the drivers from your monitor into touch screen folder on software. but your monitor needs to be 5 wire resistive type

it must be the most talked about topic on the forum. t3chsupp0rt i take it you have not been installing long ??? people say crimp some compression others say twist on. at the end of the day it is what you are used too. and if used right last just aslong as each other but twist was around for a long time well before we had crimp or compression. i have 80 odd push on BNCs from the 70s no cable strip needed

8000 will have the same problems as 80 with some ISPs change your port to 83.

Hi doing rental never works. you have a big outlay with very slow return on your money. if its a budget problem your customer has take alook at a lease system. your paid quick .. customer does not even need to find the cost of install.

4 Camera one Cat 5 Cable and power any one Done? Issues?
tomcctv replied to AndyA's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Bad idea to charge to remove cables. it always works out alot more than just installing cables. YOU WILL get a customer that WILL invoice YOU for making good holes / re paint / plaster / using old cables as pull cords is good. removing old cables old conduit old clips is just a waste of your time as a install company. -
hi. this is not the administrator password or user .. you have no rights to the dvrs view only for the 760 its admin and 0000
-
your going mad ??? please take your time and read your posts. if XLN was blocking ports you would not be getting images. which ports do you have working ...... remember not to use port 80. change it to 83 or something else. what ports are you using (should have 3 ) ??? which user name and password are you using to logon ???
-
Hi. yes you can get wireless but they are not that good for licence plate or any good quality image. but you would still need to get power to your camera. sounds like you have a short term problem so i would not worry to much about the install side. run some cat5 (or direct burial cat5) and follow flower beds or grass area this will carry you video/power/and alarm signal (even audio) the other problem will be cost as well as a camera you will also need to record if you have no DVR then take alook at IP you can get some good little 1.3mp cameras and it will be cheaper than having to buy anolog camera and a recorder. you need something small hiden or it will be the camera getting the attention and not your mail box. and your right dont mount on mail box if your box is getting hit with batts it will also damage your camera. it all depends on your budget. axis do a good little encoder covert camera.

Advantage and Disadvantage or PoE in a CCTV system?
tomcctv replied to 1337.807's topic in System Design
never had a problem installing IP into a housing. IP cameras do generate a little more heat than a standard camera so may not need extra heating. connection with injector connection with POE switcher -
Dedictated Micros DS2A zero volts on hard drive power

hi. on DM it is on HD ............. do you have the 6 pin power plug ??? -
ok am lost already. you will connect via lan (local network) are you having problems at your network that your dvr is on or problems away from the dvr ??? another problem you may have is after reset your password may not have admin rights
-
dedicated network all the time is best. HD-SDI DVR's i have seen working IP is better MP and cheaper. what installers seem to be concerned about with HD-SDI is not having to replace existing coax. ??? is labour not a big part of your profit ???
-
Hi XLN have a habit of changing static IPs at least once a year. when you reset everything you may have removed ports you needed kdo you know which ports you had open ??? and which avtech you have ?

Source to buy standalone dvr main board
tomcctv replied to ho_vietnam's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. i think if you do it that way you are going to find it will be alot more expensive than just going and buying a full standalone unit. by the time you have bought the board then reinstalled it into a housing -
hi. a good MP setup would cover most but its down to budget. you may find going hybrid = both anolog and MP may be the way for you to go. Thrift stores have the same problems as standard stores as in shop lifting but the biggest loss is the drop off points or collection areas. we worked with oxfam stores (same as thrift) for a system just to watch drop off points. this is were the big money goes. people would donate and staff would take there pick before it entered the shop system. say a painting or some type of old antique and take it home and sell on ebay for $$$$ and most of the time these staff think they have done nothing wrong they dont see it as theft from a charity. MP at till areas / drop off point / sorting room and mix of anolog and MP in shop area and anolog at store bin area. you will be surprised how many staff throw things out and come back at 11pm at night
