How do you get that its much more powerful than the Nuvicos? This samsung camera is just a 2.8-10mm TDN IR bullet camera. Max. 6.8W (LED On) ops manual the manual i have here website spec sheet all say 4 amp max 12v ok lets forget the what the manual says. but 0.5 amp for a winner 5 36 IR camera is not right. far to low. so lets just say all your cameras are 1 amp thats your full 5 amp used nothing for IR switch on or filter move. you are still under powered Rory even calculators cant be that expensive to buy out there

are 1 amp each total 3 amp you say samsung is only 0.5 amp (much powerful camera than Nuvicos) how can it run on less ??? manual says samsung 4 amp ..... its this high because of power drew of IR kick in so lets do your sums again. 3x 1 amp (Nuvicos) 1 x (working samsung ) using the last 2 amp that you have left. but under powered as all your 90 post surgests. so thats 5 amp just on 4 cameras (under powered) and you want to add another HOW you have no power left. you need at least 10 amp for what you have.

so 5 cameras on power unit 5 amp total. 2 of which are samsung winner 5 IR cameras just for the samsung to kick in IR will need 1-2 amp which you dont have with 5 cameras connected to a 12v 5 amp power unit. you have 90 posts on how bad your samsung camera is. it cant work at its full level if under powered. you say your getting 0.5 amp at the camera PAGE 8 on your install manual tells you the power you need and its not 0.5 amp. your 5 amp power unit does not take into account your full cable run on every camera (in total)

Hi. the old steel and plastic eb cant work with CMS but the SA will and does not matter what age. for the places you do have the EBs its only 4 cameras it may be best to exchange them for the aver £99 ip 1.3mp and have your SA record them. then everything will be controlled via the CMS. at 4 fps from each camera 10tb should be ok for a few months.

Hi you can with the avers in a number of ways 1 you can have the dvr dump all video to an external drive system before it re-writes but this can be expensive in drives. best way is with a CMS server 1 unit will store from all your units at 4 fps per camera (you need gold CMS for this) we have 4 holiday inn s recording on site and 3 months backup at head office (group office) Dowshu. what ever you do with these units is going to be expensive we look after 2 120 system you can add raid to Dowshu (do you have rack system) not delt with Dowshu direct for a while (no one seems to know which way the company is going at the moment) they are members of the forum but not been on for a while.

if you only have 2 samsungs that need 4 amp i would just buy two of these power supplies. and use your existing 9 way power supply for the rest of your cameras. regulated 12v 5 amp cctv supply. but if your cable runs are long then you will need to go 24v

it will shut down at any time being on 1 amp. you are under powered ..... on your video. camera starts menu then with it being night as soon as your IR comes on OFF goes your camera. under powered.

Please check the standard power requirement before connecting the power. ( Recommend AC 24A/2A over adaptor for a long-distance.) 1 amp will not start that camera.

hi. 9 cameras total 5 amp will be your problem you need 4 amp just for the samsung your camera are under powered. The recommended adaptor specification for SCO-2080RN/P is DC 12V/4A, AC 24V/2A over. Please check the standard power requirement before connecting the power. ( Recommend AC 24A/2A over adaptor for a long-distance.) you may find that this is the problem you have had with your camera setup.

rory the steel has not been made for years over 5 ..... then you had the 1304 net now that stopped 3 years ago. then you had the 3004 and now the 3004 plus which now has also come to a stop. i dont know were you bought it from but its never been over $150. hell the nano hybrid is no were near $400 your still talking about a 7 year old unit you had. this is the old OS display. how can you say its crap ???? the nano is know even better geo are members of the forum and they dont even defend themselfs (that tells it all) i might get a reply from there support soon (i only sent it in march)

rory your last avermedia was 1304 steel box ..... not been made for 7 years and that was there lowest budget dvr. brand new software all hybrid playback on mobile recording via mobile or ipad free updates free ip adding. lets take alook at geo. pay for ip / pay for POS pay for card verification (clone) not full mobile compatable. GV 600 30fps ONLY @ cif . 72% of cards for sale are clone plus the 600 is limited to motherboard chip.

Hi. you can use the multi core that you have. you dont need cat5 using baluns. (seperate baluns) cat 5 Vs cat6 you will notice nothing

the nano wipes the floor over gv 600. and the gv cost more supports 90% of ip.

Hi. sounds like amps. when you used cat5 did you use one pair for video one pair for data and one pair for power ??? you should use two pair for power 1 pair for + and pair for -

both have low specs infact the cheaper is better than the $485. as its best is only cif and on both you would need to add extra hard drive space. so add another $80. if you dont need play back on your android or ip later then the dahua is much better than Digimerge

i think q-see will tell you that you have a problem with your dvr. if q-see says it is a feature then it is a stupid one that thay need to remove. just because of a power outtage the dvr stays off for a few days (good security)

Hi yes that is the nano there is a 16 way now for not much more. swann equipment is basic most of the time when you need footage it is not there. then problems with the player to play back footage. dahua is know as the apollo in the UK. good dvr if you get the latest models but again no record on android
