Hi a switcher is built into a multiplexer so you would not need the one you have. with a switcher it will only show 1 camera at a time either via switch or time delay. with a multiplexer it gives you the camera layout. 1 - 4 -8 like a quad you can buy a multiplexer with remote control. you can even buy with network so as you can view your cameras online

agree that you are a professional installer or will have this camera professionally installed. ONCE THIS CAMERA HAS BEEN MOUNTED IT CAN NOT BE RETURNED. You must test the camera for damages/defects BEFORE installing. i had this sent to me. asking is it worth the risk. to me the statement above is stupid. IF a professional installs the camera and it fails in a week or month you have lost all your money. with CNB even if you train a monkey to install it you still get two years warranty.

hi with a VCR you will need a multiplexer 4/8/16 depending on how many cameras you want to use.

If you were going to install a 10x camera system for busines
tomcctv replied to johnny916's topic in Security Cameras
hi. you would be best just walking away from a 10 camera system for that price. starting out in the industry you will be asked to do alot of qotes like that. just not worth your time in paperwork. -
geo will not tell you if the card is genuine or not just by a photo. only by ser number from card (has to be running) and software. D1 30 fps on a card 8 years old. i think you have been given the spec of the 1480. if it is a high cash flow business you will need to spend a little money on a good DVR of card (and not from ebay) it used to be cheaper to build your own system but take alook at the dahua DVRs cheaper and working out of the box.

Hi. this problem could just be a setting problem with your motion settings. just switch off motion record and run your system on constant for a few hours and see what your playback is like then.

tomcctv replied to Digiscan's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
these cameras are just webcams. but you also have to watch were you buy a foscam from. they are all over amazon and e bay. which are not true foscams. a good budget ip is the avers. http://surveillance.aver.com/product/Bullet-IP-Camera-SF1311H-B http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1q79Pchyr8&feature=player_embedded -

Hi joeC. a petrol station will always have a big theft loss with it being drive offs or a fuel account customer with a disspute on there bill. and also like everywere else in the world they are easy for the armed robbery. the first thing your customer is going to want WHEN it happends are details face/ good image / licence plates. it does not cost more money its the planning of the system.
-
this will do everything you need. even zoom in to gate as cars pass for a plate capture and then zoom back out again. the CNB full housing camera (on offer at the moment) http://www.videcon.co.uk/product_details.php?StockID=1290&l1=3&l2=41

hi each camera needs a power supply. can you google map a picture of the forecourt or do a little drawing. you may have problems with the dome cameras if you are not using them in the pump areas. i.e canopy. how far will the cameras be from the pumps. can you get a licence plate ?

with a gas station you need good fps and D1. a gas station is a high risk area so you want to make shure you have good footage. another good factor for a gas station is to hols at least 30 days footage. the samsung is a good dvr but the fps is limited it does it best fps at cif.

Upgrading to a Dahua hybrid dvr - See video of thieves
tomcctv replied to lowpro's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi yes its about 7fps but the spec reads Record Frame Rate (Shared) (D1) 120 FPS, (CIF) 30 FPS at the moment there hybrid is only 16 way + 4 ip. and limited to 1 brand of ip. at the moment i think the Apollo HD PRO D1 is better for the money. -
