    Avermedia EB3004NET

yes it will do the job. but 3104 and the 3004 are no longer made you will find stock in distributors. but no more updates or firmware. and for £40 more you get the new model.

    Avermedia EB3004NET

hi. then the ave Nano is the best for you. 12fps D1 on standard cameras and also takes IP good for shops as it also has POS. (logs cash in till)

    Avermedia EB3004NET

on the eb. you have no comtrols on screen.... you have to use a basic menu (after the event) on the nano and the seb it is on screen. can i as what you will be using the dvr for ?

    Avermedia EB3004NET

is a good little dvr. but it has a basic display. it is the cheapest of the avers. the seb is a better dvr 25fps @D1 and full on screen gui. which the eb3004 does not have.
  5. is this for cameras 300m 1000ft ??

    Which DVR card?

hi. the aver nv5000l is a lite card ..... dont get specs mixed up two types nv5000 and the nv5000L NV5000L is only 25fps @D1 so around the same as the nv3000 NV5000 is 100fps @ D1
  7. just had a look at the sony spec. so its camera then encoder (need both to run over coax) and over coax it is only 640x480. the RJ45 does the 720p though switcher. (is that not the same as ip ??) so if i read sony spec right. you have the cost of camera then cost of encoder (have to buy as pair) you can do better with an Atom hybrid. and run 2-3-5 mp
  8. Dahua and CNB and Honeywell (cnb) will have 16 out by january. Dahua are also adding this to there cards so i think its safe to say hikvision will not be to far behind. its all still new and the best way to look at it is a step up from D1. its not tech to compete with high MP ip systems. it just the end of analog to digital.
  9. hi. which is just the same as HD SDI. 300m up coax to a 720p dvr. i understand what you are saying about sony but is that just not the same as MP but lower res still needing a VMS.
  10. CNB have had the cameras and dvr out for a while. So sony are a bit late . Even dahua have a dvr for these cameras

    Version 8.5?

Geo needs to sort themselfs out. if Geo dont stop and take alook at what everyone else is doing in the market then they are going to see a big drop in there products. for a company to charge for the likes of using POS / other manufactures ip cameras/ and even for tech to check if the Geo card you are using is legit. is bad marketing

    Which DVR card?

Hi if you are only looking at 2 to 4 cameras then i would just look at a DVR. not much in the price for a card or DVR like there was. this is a good price. with full anything viewer can even record to ipad and iphone. http://surveillance.aver.com/product/embedded-hybrid-DVR-EH1004H-4-Nano
  15. 1.3mp HD-SDI is around the same price. it is a good cost effective way when using existing coax to get HD results. camera manufacturers are moving ahead. its the DVR manufacturers that need to keep upto pace.

    Does this do D1 recording?

hi its real time @ cif and 6fps @D1. but that unit is £150 over the price. it is the low end.
  19. you are right birdman. with the likes of lowes and home depo. they just sell cheap floods with PIR. we just buy floods and add a PIR sensor. we buy from this company and have used them for years GJD. they have good long range PIR for around $50. they even do a good unit that works with the mothion alarm on a DVR and is wireless to the flood. http://gjd.co.uk/?id=cctv
  20. Brandon. you have just got the guy Paranoid.
  21. Hi toaster. Regular flood is fine and good to use. there are many things you can do with flood lighting to keep running costs down. were we need flood lighting we use a flood called the ECO light or you can replace the 300w or 500w tube like this. and use a low cost fitting like this. or if you can find one (as they are new to the flood market) a flood replacement LED fitting. cost a few $ a year to run.

    Firmware avtech 677

hi. with avtech you only need the firmware if you are having problems. if your not and its under warranty i would leave your dvr as it is.

    New cctv system

CNB i have used alot of. we have also been using the qvis domes. Winner 5DSP 600TVL 2.8-1mm Lens and the VAN-2604VFHWH-SF both of which are cheaper than the CNB also no messing with baluns (as built in RJ45 connection)
