how many cameras will you be using. and what sort of image are you looking to get from the cameras. wired is best. do you have no way at all getting cable to the area.
-
both cameras are using the winner 5 chipset. so it just depends on how far you want to see. for your porch then go without IR. if you need to see 50ft away from your porch then go IR
-
have you thought about going hybrid.
-
sounds like a real time CIF dvr you have with limited D1 fps
-
the only problem is your camera choice and dvr are not a match. the samsung is sold as a CIF real time dvr. with 700tvl you should look at D1 real time. and for the small area you want to cover 15fps D1 is what you need. if you are looking at low power then the nano is a good unit. http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/productdetail.aspx?id=138

tomcctv replied to tux40's topic in Digital Video Recorders
no point in using the ST3200822AS they have always had problems since 2004. your dvr will not take that drive anyway ( your dvr will tell you that) USE YOUR HITACHI problem solved -

hi. this can do what you need. http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/productdetail.aspx?id=90

they are good low light cameras. but not at 70-80 ft which is the least you are looking for. like your camera 2 in you photo will not see your garage at night. cam 4 will not see your house at night. the CNB VBM-24VF is good for close work. i know you say you dont need identification. but if something did happen you wish you did.
-
we seem to be making the camera fit the need for this install. but at night that CNB is going to be usless without lighting. i would keep cameras on your home.

sub station poles should never be an option in the first place. (owned by power company)

not only a few minutes it would have to be the full hour. how did you take the footage off. sometimes by segment you can loose seconds and minutes. if you use low speed memory pens. but you can also have mist a few minutes if you are recording motion and its not set right. NV you should use smart record

hi jay. can you try this on your Crestron, this is another EH Linux hybrid (not nano) and see how many cameras you see. http://remote.aver.com/mobile/channel3.html

two zeusmk2lites. Zeus MK2 Lite. ..... has PTZ and only does D1 on all 4 @7fps (cant alter) Zeus MK2 Lite D1...... has no ptz or rs232 and can do D1 @30 fps on channel 1 only 7fps on rest or cif. both on old software. then you have the Zeus 4/8/18 to be honest the lites need to be scrapped. to go for the apollo there is not much in price
-
not a problem. also new firmware is available for you dvr. faster remote viewing/ full IP camera patch/ and the new I-Frame view. update. http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/download/EHseries/EH5216H-H.264/X8.02.24.02.03f.zip how to update firmware. http://www.averusa.com/surveillance/download/EHseries/EH5216H-H.264/HowToUpdateEH5000Series.pdf

tomcctv replied to ammexng's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi, do you know anything about building a small network ?? axis are good cameras .... what software or NVR will you be using. what is your clients budget ??? -
hi on the aver EH5108H you dont use any converters. you have your PTZ pluged into the POS data. you plug your ptz camera into tx+ tx- on the back of your dvr.
