sorry no not pigtails. when ordering a gv you also need to order the GV quad card if you want monitor outputs. or you could just use a multiplexer along with your card.

its an award winning ANPR camera. sold under many names i.e DM / ADvent

only making the point that the image you posted was from a 1.4mp camera with IR. so they do work. the small reg-x is showing between $900-$1400 and its only got a 7m view. the LE165 has upto a 50m view. at night with IR and 100m in day light.

your image posted is from a MP camera. and not from the bosh. if you use other companies images give them the credit for it. i recognised your image and its not a bosh. MP does do a good job on plate capture. we USED to use the RX but its still over priced and is very limited.

Averdigi EH1008-4 Nano - Sending Snapshots via Email
tomcctv replied to andyh747's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi, Sorry for late reply but have only just got round to updating the firmware. The email notification with picture seems to work fine for me. I have it selected to auto for picture size and it's coming through fine each time the alarm is triggered. This is a vast improvement in terms of alarm features and was badly needed. Now I can see what's triggered the alarm and not just be told it's been triggered. Very useful. Let me know if you're still having problems. you can also use CM3000 and set alarms from each of your cameras that way you can also record every event. lots have happend with avermedia in the last few days. one is a new company CCTV now called AVER. with a brand new website much better to download updates and software like CMS3000 and the new imatrix. www.aver.com -
you can turn active x filltering off in IE9 that will solve that problem ...--- Tools then safety are you on unlimited with virgin ???

Colossus DVR , iphone software problem
tomcctv replied to sparaxin's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi. for the same price as you would get for your colossus second /h you would get a dahua DVR (from the same company) -
another way would be to use a few of these. 360 deg pir light sensor. soon as someone enters your building some of the lights come on (much better than IR) and your cameras would stay colour. and much cheaper than changing your existing cameras.

Woman awarded huge settlement for lack of security
tomcctv replied to SDM Group's topic in General Digital Discussion
it may be better for all security cctv companies to change all there wordings in quotes and contracts in florida. reading the news paper link. it all turns to the words SECURITY. security is protection. and thats were the system failed. Security means protection surveillance means monitoring (monitoring of the behavior, activities) i would just change all paperwork and signage -
either will do as 10x or 22x is the distance.

a PTZ has a lens. you would still need to get a wire to it for the controls

Avermedia EH1004 nano network setup - DNS values
tomcctv replied to davox's topic in Digital Video Recorders
DNS value. is the name you give to the avers Dns service. just a service to use if you dont have a static ip -
your av8180 will only give you better FPS if you set it at 1600x1200 Mjpeg for the NV.

Let me know if im missing anything
tomcctv replied to twinturbo's topic in General Digital Discussion
How does that work when they only sell them with BNC? you can order any CNB to be UTP put UTP at the end of part number. any camera from internal dome right up to the 100m twin ir. but the point i was making is the ops DVR/NVR is hybrid. which seems a waste to wire his system with RG59. the EH nano are geared around HD mp and mp cameras to get the benifit. if he wires in cat5 he can add or change later to mp. if no ip is need then the op would be much better off going for the SEB unit -

i would wire you system in cat5 and order your CNB with utp. and just use a balun at the DVR/NVR end. if you want to use RG59 then dont get the EH and get the SEB instead. -
question about pcsurveillance.net cards
tomcctv replied to xkill911's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
you may be best editing your first post. as the card you posted has nothing to do with geo anyway. its there own PCI card. what problems are you having with the card ?? -
Has anybody tried this camera from Henry's CCTV - 8904W
tomcctv replied to Trebuchet's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi should be a couple of PCs running Zoneminder and Vitamin D. the camera you have listed has its on software. just be aware it may not work with zoneminder you may have more look with vitimin d as it takes webcams. your first post was for a maplins box kit. which are bad. but you seem to be going the same root with wifi. all you will have is a 10M range. with the camera you listed. you will have lots of problems. with other wifi products in your street for a 4 camera system you are 100% best going wired. -

good company with good prices. BUT why buy a new DVR and look at a wifi camera. its I.E based. -
we did have problems also with the CNB VBM-24VF which we used to buy from a supplier. then we started buying direct. the CNB VBM-24VF was no longer made by CNB since 3 months ago. but USA still have stocks and can only be bought from the USA. the new CNB VBM are now out but i will say the new samsung WV DSP is a much better camera and alot cheaper than CNB. the samsung is sold in America under the name of Qvis ( they joined the forum 3 weeks ago) so i hope they can give us some footage.

Humidity in a camera?
tomcctv replied to nickCR's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
looks like in your images that you are using PTZ cameras. it is normal for a PTZ camera to try and refocus if a rain drop gets on the dome
