AVC796B Harware reset procedure
tomcctv replied to andreabolzicco's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. if you have tried to update your firmware with a none compatable version. then you have no way of getting your unit back to its original firmware. am 90% shure you need to send your unit to a avtech distributor or see if they will send you a copy. you could try this firmware (only use your model number) but i do think your unit does need to go back for software. http://www.ussscctv.com/Technical_Supports.htm -

Milestone Go + Sanyo Full HD cams (setting resolution)
tomcctv replied to daniely87's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
this was a problem with sanyos. 3500s. and it cant be fixed with firmware. sanyo does do a full replacment. they did release a S/ number or the cameras that had to go back. -
yes i have. but its mainly a contact if a new station is getting built or a old station having a total rebuild. electrical standards are controlled by PB. and CCTV systems are not covered. (low power) plus it sounds like your petrol station is private owned. so you will have no problem. just sounds like he has other quotes from idots.
-
yes its fine to point a camera at a pump. we do alot of work for shell/BP and esso filling stations. we even have a petrol station in kent that sounds like the same setup as yours. only two pumps (very old around the 70s) so no data from pump back to cashier. we used a CNB PTZ works very well controlled by the cashier. i camera covered two pumps. i think the other companies are getting a bit confused. you can point or mount a camera anywere in a petrol station. except you can not attach them to a pump. (uk no external power can be added or connected to a petrol pump other than its own control equipment)

hi. if your cameras are spread apart. if they are upto 80m then you could just use RG59 with power to all cameras including your ptz. and just run a cat5 to each ptz for data.
-
you will see a conector more like this at your camera end.
-
these two will go to (TX(A) to RX(A), at the ptz head and the rs485 connector at DVR end.
-
people use differant colour codes but you can do this .. orange and orange and white ..... use for video balun brown and the brown white (twist together) ..... use for + power blue and blue white (twist together) ..... use for - power green and green white ...... use for data (rs485)
-
Hi. you will only need the baluns for your video (one at each end) the data for your ptz is a rs485 connection. 1 pair of cables from your cat5 back to the rs485 on either your dvr or ptz controller. which DVR do you have. not all will control a ptz camera ???

nothing new in head count cameras. (people counting) been around for many years. bosh was one of the first around 5-6 years ago. now you can get it on budget DVRs. also built in to IP cameras. as far as the olympics. all cameras are done and inplace. the metro systems are also inplace (3 year plan) and are on a goverment frame work all back to one location.
-
having just 1 ptz is a good idea for your carpark but i would back it up with fixed cameras as well. PTZ do have there place. but just pan tilt and zoom all day long is a waste of time. but in a restaurant carpark they do have a good use. scanning all cars parked at least every hour just to log number plates. (much easier to find people who have left without paying) your link has UK prices ??? if you are in the uk. your system will need to conform to DPA standards. it does not cost to be registered but fitting a cheap system may fail DPA regs. so dont spend twice buy brand named equipment from the start.

16CH D1 High Quality DVR Recommendation. DAHUA ? HANBANG ?
tomcctv replied to charlesrg's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi Taylor. are you qvis UK or USA. ??? -
what is it you will be protecting ??? 20k for 25 ip cameras and 25 solar and battery backup / and a methard to get the data back to the NVR for 25 cameras. is lower than trade price.
-
150m wireless with 25 ip. do you have power at each camera location ??? what is your budget going to be.
-
giving a price for what you need is a bit hard on what you say you need. ip and dvr is not a match. are you going to use standard cameras and ip. if so you will be looking for a hybrid. how many ip cameras. solar run still give you the problem of getting the data back to the NVR. also how far are you looking at the cameras being from DVR/NVR

its a analytics setup. only bought 3 in the last 4 years as installs needed that type. pm sent of company.

videcon dvr, speed dome, and pir setup
tomcctv replied to jordanb's topic in General Digital Discussion
D-770 has 4 alarm inputs at the head. much easier to setup. i would take your sensors back to the head. and setup though your controller. -
Hi netgear do a good little unit . Netgear Powerline AV Ethernet Adapter XAV101 Tomcctv, do you think this device would work if the dvr is in a different building then the router? In this setup the customer has a farm with several sheds. All of the cameras & dvr are setup in one shed, but the internet connection is about 50 away across from it. The customer is thinking of digging a and running the line to the shed, but I wanted to see if we could do something else.. hi. yes that will do the job. but there is nothing better than hard wired if your custom is willing to dig then thats the best way to go. i would run a few cat5 and coax for later use.

or just use the avermedia NVR software. no card needed for full ip.
