tomcctv replied to pipsypips's topic in General Digital Discussion
which type of LJD unit do you have. if it is the top one then the only thing you can do is attach a video. (i know your has a cd writer) but the software viewer only plays on windows 98 the bottom one is JPeg2000 -
Hi. no i have the dom software here for the sa. that is what the DOM is the xp runside. the problem that you might of had is once the dvr is set up you should remove the c/drive (dom) away from the Hard drive path. to stop it being writen too. install time for DOM and system is 30mins. no you cant install a full xp onto the sa.

casino set from analog to ip
tomcctv replied to ayalas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
am in a differant country. so yes HD is in most uk/ france/germany / spain. is being used in a big way. and like i said also now in the US. another uk based company installed a 100 full HD camera system at Golden Gate Hotel & Casino. which is the first casino in the US to go full HD -
on a DM you will find part of the operating system is on the master H/drive if you have formated your hard drive then your only option is the unit going back to DM or an agent. and as you are only using 1 camera then for what DM charge you could buy a litte good 4 way dvr.

casino set from analog to ip
tomcctv replied to ayalas's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
survtech. they are not my quotes. (dont understand why ops get so personal) honeywell uk/ dedicated micro / and dowshu are as you say big in the casino industry. all of which are (if you did not know) are uk companies. i was only making a point about a HDcctv being in the market place and is used both here and the usa. and dowshu is the only system on the market place with 5 year warranty. survtech if your not happy with the spec (not mine but from the company) dont have a go at me talk to them. i was just reponding to a post . that there is HDcctv systems out there. -
Has anyone used HEIVISION cameras? (Review added)
tomcctv replied to JoeDShadow's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi joeDshadow. Heivision is cheap nasty and it looks as if no software/nvr/ or hybrid supports it. would make a nice paperweight tho. -
hi. dm charge for everything even tho they are a very good unit the keep up costs are stupid. there log on service is not as bad as sending the unit back. so at least you have that. another way would be to google a dm agent in your area (these seem cheaper than DM themselfs) and they can log on.
-
Hi. DM have around 7 SD32 in there range. and the firmware has to match the dvr. the firmware sits in a partion on the master HD. you only have 2 options. send your unit back for full software or ask dm to log in. you are lucky that the network is still responsive hence Engineering boot. this means DM can log on with your serial number.

sorry lovebohn. am getting a little confused on what you have. if you are at work and trying to log in then its not local. is you dvr/pc dedicated to just your cameras ??? it sounds like you have to much going on with your network. when you are at home on the pc that has the avers card in. remove all links to services like log me in and tean viewer. then plug your dvr direct into your router and not your switcher. do you have a static ip ??? then when you are back at work on your work pc log into your system as http://yourip:5550 now this is the webviewer so you should get a full screen with your cameras once you have said yes to the active x command.
-
with alot of swann cameras. you will find it is over powered what size power supply do you have.
-
you will find handy viewer button ..... setup then network and its on the right lower side. are you doing all this on a local pc or over the internet
-
still looks like a break in the download. you say your dvr is going though a switch with other ip devices. you are best with the dvr in your router. and do you have handy viewer ticked. do you have the remote viewer on disk ??

I'm looking for a network camera host
tomcctv replied to quick_pick's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi quick-pick. if you mean by hosting (your camera on a webserver) by a 3rd party so as you can have them record your camera. or are you looking at just loging into your camera yourself. -
hi looking at were you have said you need cameras. 4 IR for the general kennel you need 1 cat5 run for cameras. if you dont have local power you will also need to run another cat5 for power. 5 IR camera's to cover particular kennels again you will need 3 runs. if you dont have local power. with wire left over to add cameras later. or use for audio 3 longer range IR camera's for gates - 35m if all in the same location two runs. (1 for cameras 1 for power) each cat5 with run 4 cameras 1 pair each. either using single baluns or 4 way baluns. single balun. 4 way balun
-
Hi. please stay away from what is called box systems cheap kits put together. are not a good idea. sorry but your budget is a little low but your idea of adding later is a good idea. as far as wiring you will also save money if you use CAT5. (get 4 cameras down 1 cable) with the use of baluns
-

New PTZ over Existing Fixed Camera Install
tomcctv replied to vin2install's topic in Video Transmission/Control Devices
Hi vin2install. you could use one of these and run your power/video/audio down the coax and that will leave the siamese power to use as your PTZ control. http://www.foresight-cctv.com/Manaul-PDF/VDS%20Single%20Coaxial%20Cable%20Transmission/VDS2100-2200-Manual.pdf -
hi. you should have ports 5550/5555/9999/53/1053 directed to your dvr. if you dont use talkback then you dont need 9999. and if you are not using avers ddns then you dont need 53/1053 . so just have port 5550 directed from your router to your dvr ip.
-
hi its the active x that you need to uninstall. tools / internet options / programs / manage add ons / and delete webviewer x. then login to your dvr with port http://your ip:5550 and from webviewer download remote viewer.

tomcctv replied to shenwansan's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi. if you are talking about vga from your dvr, to vga on tv then you may need to reboot your dvr when vga cables are connected. -
hi. no just the remote client software on the pc you are using to log in. the remote port is 5550 so getting into your dvr remote it would be http://your ip:5550
