i see your problem. you do not have vieiwing rights with your password ........... just type admin and not mark or go into users and edit your name and you need to tick cames you wish to view. the symbol on your iphone means its on but you dont have rights to watch. just change mark to admin first.

can you just do a quick test on your pc. please enter http://yourlocalip:5550/mobile and see what comes on your pc screen
-
hi .... everything is port 5550 on the avers ...... port 300 has nothing to do with handy viewer. also a new app for the iphone app was released. http://itunes.apple.com/us/app/averdigi-iviewer/id336316715?mt=8

Hi mark. you only need to portforward port 5550 for everything. and which iphone do you have

i can see your problem if you are going to install a dvr card into your customers existing pc. and he uses that pc also for private use. (not a good idea for a security system) for what you are trying to do you need a windows embedded system. you need to capture the pos data into a file on the pc if you want pos search. if you dont need pos search then just go RS232 and you can use any pos compatible system.
-
it could also make your customers unhappy. one of the best ddns services is free. and it wont give you a reoccuring income. once done its done. networking a dvr is only 10 mins of the install time. and part of your sales to sell your systems in the first place is your customer can have remote viewing. a good customer is the best customer ...... you make more money from recommendations. ........ also a good customer can become a good asset. if they recommend you and you get a confirmed job they earn themselfs $50.

How so? Please explain, and also to the OP, please explain your argument for it being too complicated also, I would like to hear both sides in depth, thanks. Ive found, with current stand alone DVRs they can be just as complicated, and with older ones those can be more of a PITA for end users to operate not having a mouse for example like the new ones. with the avermedia they all operate the same . be it standalone /pc/ or hybrid the operating screen is the same. eh/eb/nv/sa/ touch. all have the same screen. so no differance in operation to the operator. Nano nv/sa/touch eh / eb(remote)

secom in the past have used other companys software. one being avermedia and they have also used hikvision. do you have a screen shot of your display ??? secom will not help if you dropped out of there service contract -
there is no differance with using an embedded windows based to a standalone. the operating side is the same. if you dont need pos search then you would be best going RS232 to 485

I need to see the details of a Black man's face at night.
tomcctv replied to dspevack's topic in Security Cameras
i think what soundy is saying is to use ip cameras. and i think you have in mind are standard cameras. ip will give you much more coverage and more detail and you dont need as many ip as you would standard cameras. for number plates you do need a target point ...... ok you have no entry exit points. but you have said people empty rubbish at your dumpsters. that is a number plate target point. car has stopped and people will be out and about there car. what is your budget. -
if this is the old avtech with the HDD caddie on the front. (gray unit) then remember to switch the power off before you remove the HD for at least 2 mins. the old avtech dvrs (around 8 years old) the hard drives used to be time and date reliant. so have a go at putting the time and date back on the dvr to before the footage you need and reinstall the HD see if that does anything.

Recording Time question...HELPPPPP
tomcctv replied to colombiancctv's topic in Digital Video Recorders
hi colombiancctv. how many cameras do you have on each system and it also depends on how much movment you have on your cameras. but say 18hrs constent record and 6hrs motion record for each day. on say a 4 way dvr you would need at most 4TB a month. so work on each camera as 1TB a month. but you could half that if you set your dvrs to motion only. -
Monitor Osprey Nest - Interesting situation
tomcctv replied to mtbvert's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. mtbvert would be nice to see some footage once you have done your install. videoing in the wild is hard to do at the best of times and many people get it wrong with what type of camera they use. you will have a 50/50 chance of the birds going if you change there enviroment. the Panasonic with the weather box is 5in x 5in and that is big to a bird. take a look at the axis camera same wiring setup and will go into a mac with there software for recording. and the camera is the size of your thumb. http://www.axis.com/products/cam_m7001/ -

How to decide which security DVR system options will most fi
tomcctv replied to Vvme13's topic in Security Cameras
if you think about it yes he has seen a gap in the market. order your cameras from us and we will tattoo your company name free on every camera -
Hi 3RDIGLBL. just looking at making a patch. it will take a few days. simple fix. were you enter time and date for summer time change. instead of day/month/year. looking at removing year and having that change automatically with the dvr clock. and that will sort it out. this will be done on the decembers 2010 update software. so please update your dvr if you have not done so.

yes all avers are dedicated apps. the seb is a very good fast unit. and another one to look at is the avermedia EH1008H-4 Nano it has no fan so good for in roof space. if you download the app for your phone i will send you some ip addresses for you to play with.

How to decide which security DVR system options will most fi
tomcctv replied to Vvme13's topic in Security Cameras
Hi Vvme13. just done a company check on your company because your statment above has soom wrong information. and looking at your company report i can see why. going from being a tattoo suppliers to cctv suppliers is a big leap and you will make mistakes. i hope the forum admin also spots your links and company name in all your posts and removes them. -
no a frame is not the same as image. 50 images = 25fps
-
you can report me to ever you want. read the post you are the nasty one. all as i am doing is letting people who read this forum that the dvr you say runs avermedia software does not. and that the information you have posted about that dvr is also inaccurate. and also from your link the spec of your dvr. please (see i said please) read it. Video Output Channel 1 channel Composite BNC NTSC 120 frames/second 4×30 frames/second Display Frame Rate PAL 100 frames /second 4×25 frames/second NTSC Max.30 fps (Quad) Quad Mode Recording Frame Rate PAL Max.25 fps (Quad) Quad Mode NTSC Each Channel = 30 fps ÷ Number of CamerasMax. 30 frames/s (Total) Recording Frame Rate (Each Mode) PAL Each Channel = 25 fps ÷ Number of CamerasMax. 25 frames/s (Total) And the 25/30 fps is still the max pr. channel - It has a total on 50/60 fps!!! Im the nasty one? You are the one attacking me every time I write a post here! I have the facts right - and had hands on both units - wich you obviously never had! listen torbenc i am not having a go ok. now read the spec it says 25fps divided by.............. not total instead of you thinking i am having a go at you ......... why not look at it the other way and you are learning something.... or are you not man enough for that.
-
This is from the spec sheet, page 2 nope still cant find that page (page2) in the manual. but ok rory lets take your spec 50images is still only 25fps across the 4 cameras. my point to all this post is this dvr can not be compared to a avermedia the Monacor dmr-140 does not run avermedia software and the company never will.
