hi sit back and read the instuctions again. have you undone the two lock screws. and also you do know you can turn the lens to get it to go diagonal. monted many sanyos to walls and ceilings. thanks for reply! have read it about 3x and asked a couple of other people! not sure how to turn the lens as that part is motorised..., just how the manual shows it, its as if "number 3" and the 2 arrows are the 3rd axis.....i have totall removed screws.....perhaps it is already getting 120 and i dont think it is....but hmm the manual isn't exactly detailed...:/ hi the lens holder is the third axis. you just need to turn it.

Hi michael. how far are you from sodrick. we are just trying out a new GSM beam. but as you know manx telecom does make it difficult to use another provider. using manx can make things like this expensive to run. are you also looking for cameras to protect.

i had the same problem. door would start to open then stop and close. took me ages to sort it . motor on and off re-adjusting arms still did it. in the end we took the track off and at each end you will see a bronze coller that the inside shaft turns in. this is greased at the factory but the grease had got hard like bubble gum over the years and the motor thinks it is a resistance on the door. we cleaned them up and filled them with vaselin. worked good after but i left west virginia 4 months later so could not tell you if its still working or not. but looking at the manual yes it has adjustments for forced drive page 25. http://www.liftmaster.com/consumerweb/pdfdocs/A2094M.PDF

have you unpluged your system when the firmware was complete. The DVR is designed to automatically detect the video system of the connected cameras (NTSC or PAL). if your old drive is 80gig then it will be pata. so i would just go upto 160gig replacement. with a sata converstion kit and going to 1tb you will find your dvr will not see the HD

Hi the apollo lite 16. cant record D1 how ever it will record 4cif on channels 1 & 8 only the rest are cif. but your dvr is D1 in live view (looking at your monitor your images are good) now the apollo lite has referance to Dahua's. and a member called rory has done alot of work with Dahua software i will pm him the new firmware that came out for the apollo lite in december. he will be able to tell if updating will help or not.

a patch will not happen. these usb dvrs are cheap and qsee no longer makes them anymore

your problem is with the apollo. it is a budget dvr. the problem is it will only record D1 on the first 4 channels and if you pick a high frame rate on those 4 channels then the rest of your cameras will only record in CIF at a very low frame rate. if you want quality you will need to change your dvr. the cameras you have are fine so please dont spend more money upgrading them..

if you are doing POS for a customer then just pass the cost of the pos box onto them if they dont want to pay then they dont get POS. you are doing more than 1 cash register so you are going to have costs in the form of the GV rs485 capture box or 2 rs232 to rs 485 converters for each till. if your cash registers are windows based with UTP then you could go with the GV-POS-TEXT-SENDER-12CH but it has a very high cost.

depends on what you mean by cutting your budget. and how old your GV is. have you done POS before ???

also the forum can save you money. looking at your post (turn your VCR into motion) Convert an old VCR to a smart security recorder! sounds good on paper. now here it is from a engineers point of view. on a standard VCR from pressing the record button to your VCR recording can be 10 secs. by adding a Conversion Module will miss the footage. your camera detects the motion (someone crossing camera) your VCR activated by the module by the time the spools have spooled the tape and got upto speed to record the person will be away from your camera view hence nothing on tape. and that module is $150 motion on cameras is a pain you will end up switching it off. like soundy has said give as much info of your area that you can . do you have internet do you have good mobile reception. you want to catch the scum around your house. and members on here would love to also help you to do that. but you need something that works. like you said you want to call the police if anything happends but what you dont want to be is the guy who calls wolf and not having any police responce at all. if only someone would put this into production. (would be ideal for the end of your drive)

Hi BruceC. this is the problem with trying to sort things out on a forum. you never said the property you wanted to protect was at the end of your drive. why not put the protection on the cabin along with your camera. a camera on your home looking 2000ft to the cabin cant be done on a low budget

Hi BruceC. i would say looking at your requiments i would look at the smaller picture rarther than the bigger picture. just because your drive way is 2000ft does not mean you have to put your beams that far. i would use beams closer to your home this will also stop many restless nights with deer setting your beam off. form an invisible optex square around your home and you are protected from every direction and not just from your driveway
