    cop ptz problem

Hi jw. that camera is sold by most companys its not just cop. they are good cameras. if you remove the dome cover and then remove the black plastic cover that is protecting the camera and under that you will see two sensors 1 for camera (on camera body) and another on the outer ring were you removed the cover. if your camera starts a tour and does not stop then it will be the outerring sensor cant find it nutral postion. move the camera ring by hand till sensors are in line and undo them and move them closer to gether. and see if that helps.

    Bird cage camera system

you want quality ........... and the price is not far of the gear you have listed ..........you only need two of the axis cameras. ...... if you spend that type of money on the geek stuff you will wish you paid for the axis. you also say you need to fit the camera into a dome...... the camera you have listed will be a bad idea (it has ir) and also having 4 ir cameras around your cage will also give you problems (you only need 1 ir in that space)

    Bird cage camera system

axis do a good little camera. two of these will do the job. For video security situations requiring the most discreet surveillance solution, consider the Axis M7001 Covert Surveillance Kit. This remarkable kit includes the compact Axis M7001 single-channel video encoder with an extremely small covert camera. Both the camera and the encoder operate using Power over Ethernet, which makes it easy to install this all-in-one system anywhere along your existing network. A standard Ethernet cable is all that's required to power both the camera and the encoder. The covert camera is IP66-rated so it can stand up to dust, moisture, and other troublesome weather conditions. The Axis M7001 video encoder enables the camera to stream high-quality video over your network for remote viewing and recording. With support for H.264 video compression, the encoder significantly reduces network bandwidth and storage requirements without compromising image quality. For added flexibility, the Axis M7001 offers simultaneous H.264 and Motion JPEG, PTZ support, and can deliver two simultaneous video streams at full frame rate up to D1 resolution.

HIKVISION DVR - What model is this?

Hi mind twist. they have been around for a few years but are very reliable dvrs. over internet they are a bit of a pig. they are called the Colossus Range from hikvision. pm me your email and i will send you everything for the range.
  11. Thats what im saying. Right now I have to run to my computer and open up the AvTech Video Server-E program and enter my password and login to view the video when I hear a noise .. because my other monitor went bad. Its a PITA and I wouldnt want a client to have to that unless thats really what they wanted. Sometimes before I can even login someone is banging at my door or staring in my window, I started to revert back to old school and just grab a weapon and run to the Window and look for now .. its quicker! But even that doesnt always work as someone stole my shoes (which were outside drying) one night out of site from the Window and time as I logged on to look at a camera in that area they had already walked away with them! rory your with friends.............. what size shoe do you take we will get some new ones to you some how. mmmmmmm did you not have a problem a few months ago (the bearfoot robber) he might have them i still think going hybrid and not full ip is the best way to go. still to many problems with full ip its just not realiable

    Upgrade Advice Required

avermedia gives you a lot more than GV does. when looking for avers you will see old cards ........look for w7 new cards. but if you are looking for only 8 way i would not build. just buy a hybrid

    Unknown CCTV System

Hi kingy17. all you need is some standard BNC leads made up for you. but it depends on how far your cameras are going to be from your unit. but before you install it all bench test your equipment first. (you do know your unit does not record) you will need a recorder

    vcr to pc video connection

  16. Hi bpzle. does it make you want one
  17. Hi bpzle. the touch avers is a pc based (two types have been realeased) both being very powerfull with having the new atom chip. and another machine is the avers SA9000 pro. you will not use all the features on that ........and works well with the touch screen. i will see how much it will cost to send one to bpzle. if bpzle is ok about that.
  18. Hi tds1. if you can get the averdigi IWH3216 then all the better but the waiting list is long. the EH dvrs will only allow 1.3mp cameras on 7 of its channels and upto 5mp on the last. the good thing about avers is there is no cost for camera licences for any ip camera and now have most listed. you can update your dvr with new as they come out. am a big user of avermedia but i would say if it was me looking between the avers eh and the exacqvision .... i would go with the exacqvision. but the avermedia IWH3216 the exacqvision does not even come close to it.
  19. Hi kaon. best thing is if you cant find info on a product then stay away. and if they say is better than milestone and luxriot then l thats another problem. (dont listen to salesmen)

    Long distance camera power supply?

Hi SEANHAWG. what you have to remember is the bi-wave is for 12v cameras and the 28v on the power supply is when it will be used to its maximum .....voltage drop. (gives you 12v at camera)
  24. the problem you are going to have is. you are asking for a way to reset your dvr. you will not find that info on the forum. and if you dont have cameras you could use then you are also not an installer (dont know of any installers who does not have cameras) and you dont have the master password or you would see files.

    Avermedia NV5000 capture board questions

you could just use the TV out on the card to go to a second monitor (must have composit) but it is best to keep both systems apart
