Hi Dave. talk talk has so many restrictions on there broadband. and you might not be able to use your dvr over wan. talk talk is a information collection broadband service (that is why it is so cheap) and it is the smallest usage broadband around. before you spend money just check with them

Hargan. did you read on the site you have posted. NOT IN STOCK. italy from the uk 3 days. cms 3000 comes with the cards Free it comes with every avermedia. you only need 1 pc the one you are putting the cards into along with a graphics card. how many monitors are you using.

Sureveillance-Video conferenced me with CNB, and they no longer provide the balun's with the cameras...citing not enough demand. However, these cameras I received have the 2.8-10.5mm lenses - that's a plus. Hi clearsignal. cnb have never provided baluns with there cameras. it is built in. and you can order any cnb to have a balun at the dvr end. you have to put utp on any order. then your camera connections will be like this. power / bnc / cat5.

at 25fps at that res you are going to need 8/9tb so you are going to need raid for 30 days with cards you are a bit limited i.e 1 vga out and 2 tv out (you have no control over the tv out display) if you are looking at macking a video wall then i would look at the avermedia 6032e no need to use imetrix then. and added to the cms3000 software even more screens with full control and alarms. but with buying avermedia you are missing out on not using some ip camerasin your key areas
-
Hi hargan. what will you be protecting with your system. there are not many places that need 25fps only like casino tables and even then they can use just 15fps. over lan you will get 15fps i have sent you a pm with video of fps that you can play and alter.

to use the 6480 cards you need a high spec pc. Intel Cor 2 Duo processor but you dont need to run at 25fps 12 or 15fps is just as good. you can use imatrix for off site but cms3000 gives you more options. but you will not get 25fps over the internet. also H/D storage for 32 cameras. how many days storage are you looking for ???

wrong again. CCTV does need PP in Ireland including the securelight. perrywinkle. then i better get my guys out to take cameras down. the law is only in a public space and not your own garden. you DO NOT need it to watch your own car.
-
some people say try this guy http://scorpiontheater.com/troubleshooting.aspx but he spends more time on the beach than on here and some say he cuddles up with a avtech in bed.

-
ThanksWhat do you think of http://www.peats.com/cgi-bin/catalog.cgi?view_product=1&id=26121&sid=23&cid=4125&scid=9769 Hi perrywinkles yes that will do the job.

on the inside? Will the glass reflect? Hi you will only get reflection if your camera has ip lights around the lens (this is what will bounce back from your window) this might be a better idea for you and it is not classed as cctv in Ireland. http://www.securesight.com/security_cameras.php
-
Not right. i was told by the planning folk it is needed you are only putting a camera though your tv. this is not a cctv system and you dont need planing. if you are watching your own property you are fine. buy a cheap camcorder and put that in the window

tomcctv replied to Gizmos's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi. Gizmos you can do better than swann. and stay away from the maplins kit. just do a search on here for swann. as far as cameras this depends on what you need them to do (how far to view/ what will you be looking at) and also what is your budget. -
http://kildare.ie/countycouncil/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=267 see third post down you meanthe bullet camera. Where do i get it? planing permission is needed if your system is looking into a public space. so your gardens and drive way is fine the biggest cctv company in Ireland http://www.rfconcepts.co.uk/cameras.htm
-
IRELAND you dont need planing permission on a house. in Ireland. i would just buy the camera listed and run it though your tv. its cheaper than the camera you listed.
-
Hi perrwinkles. with the camera you have posted it will not work very well as the ir will reflect back. plus dont by wireless it never works. you would be better using something like this . Will that work from inside?Or would a webcam work from inside?Planning permission is needed here for outside CCTV and I do not want that expense. Thanks for the reply where are you that you need planning permission ???

Server Software for an OLD LJD Leviathan? NO CD!
tomcctv replied to ThomGAnderson's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
Hi Thom. its not HD it gets a bit long winded to explain on the forum. you need to empty all folders with the vshell pass word then you need to creat a new video data base. and that sould sort your problem. if you have problems with it i have pm you my number. -
i dont think you will see any differance as the day/night cameras are very good. in most cases better than with ir if you have a little lighting around.
-
Hi. it sounds like you are not installing a new active x to the pc. as you should see some small changes. try to uninstall it again. also try cms3000 and see if you connect then.
-
Hi which mod of dvr are you using
