Is this a good camera for picking up licence plates
tomcctv replied to dannyas's topic in Security Cameras
Hi dannyas. no the camera is not good enough. also you would have to buy a lens 50 or 60mm dc and that will cost you more than the camera. if you are in hongkong i dont know if you could get something like this. -
Does Nuuo Support 2-Way Audio with Mobotix?
tomcctv replied to LC475's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
just 1 way for all mobotix range. 2 way can only be done with mobotix software. -
first try your original power supply at the camera end. and if that does not help then put your new one at the dvr end. you wont cause damage the camera will only pull what it needs. your camera needs 1amp to run but your cable is 300ft so you are getting the amps you need. you will find it easier to get hold of a 3 amp.
-
for that lenth i would try putting the power supply at the camera end. if you cant do this i would say up your power supply to 12v 1.5 amp.
-
Hi lous. a pic of the camera and a pic of the cables would be good.
-
Hi lous. is it pos you could post pictures. as checkpoint dont make cameras. just stick there name on.
-

Any experience wit IQEye Series 4 Basic Line Cameras?
tomcctv replied to Maniek's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
any ip camera you look at will be better than proline. before you start looking at ip ask yourself this. how are you going to record from them/ what do you need them for. -

so you are on a 1 port modem ??? with router attached. you still do the same as soundy has stated. also are your dvrs the same make. and what make are they. it might be better for you if your dvrs have cms software.
-
Hi welshman. with using sky i think you have a netgear router ??? if you portforward 8080 to the local ip of the dvr. then to use away from your home you need the external ip. google myip. and you will see your external ip in red. sky (bt) will charge you for a static ip £5 ayear.
