this law is already in use in the uk. see link below. i also spent time in america and one night went out with friends to a bar i started playing on a slot machine and after a while i won a ticket that you exchanged at the bar for a prize. it was a leather bound case with 4 small knives with golden eagles on the handles. i was so pissssssssss## that i could not bring them back to the uk. http://www.goxplore.net/guides/Knife_law_(UK)

sounds like a lot more things to go wrong yes the mobotix is a very good camera (Q24) but most people that use the mic and speaker find that the speaker is not very load. and one thing that gets me is if you disable the mic from a Q24 its gone for ever or at least till you send it back to mobotix to be reset at a cost. everything with mobotix has a cost (never ending) the avermedia sa5000 has what you need and it works very well oooooooooooppps you cant buy it in america.

so think about it mmmmmmmmmmmmm powering cameras from pc power unit then start recording even more power used from onboard unit ............ remove camera power from pc and give them there own
-
did you get them from a company starting with v in leeds area ???
-
first have a look at your smart recording. this is when your dvr records in poor quality till it picks up movement. it should give you options to change settings. but i would say set your dvr to motion only record and see how it goes. also if you are thinking of changing and you have not built a card based pc then buy a dvr it will be cheaper for you in the long run.

Board Camera Permanent Install: ESD concerns valid?
tomcctv replied to todd2's topic in Security Cameras
like soundy says. you dont need a ground strap. just dont touch the lens. most cameras will cope with a little static. and dose not cause a problem. take a look at ptz cameras steel gears with nylon belts. ideal combo for static but causes no problem. -
What phone & software is best for Avermedia PDAViewer
tomcctv replied to swampguinnie's topic in General Digital Discussion
Hi swampguinni. you dont need any software for any avermedia. it will work on any phone or smartphone/ pda/iphone. all of which have very good remote viewing. but with a pda i.e htc phones you have multi screen and you can also record. pm me for iphone app. but any other phone just dial in to your recorder. -

can you not loan a dvr from an engineer just to see what pictures you get. also just check to see if someone has changed the settings to PAL cameras ....it should be on NTSC cameras. -
Hybrid DVR for IP/analog cams - what brands/models?
tomcctv replied to benf's topic in Digital Video Recorders
avermedia is a good choice and i have over 30 units out. but please dont use the eh2516 it is new but it has some small faults and you wont be happy with it. take a look at the avermedia sa units. you have a lot more control and better images. http://www.apexcctv.com/Support/Downloads/Standalones/Avermedia/SA6000E/SA6000EManual.pdf -

never run cameras from the pc power. buy a 4 channel power unit. you will then get the right volts and amps for the camera.
-
yes everyone has the same problem it also burns out the wire ribbon between the camera and the board. this has been going on for over 14 months (just dont buy them) the VHSD-810EXT is a much better camera and cheaper. ask them to swop them.
