    Chinese DVR Card

You make me smile. The card with CIF was for testing and installed for free The cards I am buying are 4CIF and display is always 4CIF real time - no matter what you record. I have a few years of experience too and I am not ignoring any info I am getting here. The quality is very important - I agree and I think you got a wrong picture of what I am buying/doing. KOOLMER. this is your quote from earler post. The only reason that I use only CIF currently is that the card that I have only does CIF. I got it from the same co-worker for free, as he had no use for it anymore. I had a Comart Hicap-100 before that cost me a fortune a few years ago. The CIF H.264 hardware encoding card from Hik has better quality. The image is also clearer if compared to the 2CIF recording from Comart. Not sure about 4CIF. first you say cif then 4cif you must drive your customers mad.

    AVE VSI PRO

the vsi is text overlay. you dont connect it to the dvr at all. if you are looking to put the data onto your dvr. you will need a pos box (to convert the data) then you can link it to your dvr. and you wont need the vsi. what make is your dvr ???

    Chinese DVR Card

1080p with cif your customer will not be happy with the picture on the screen. i am with rory WHY WHY IN CIF why build an old system you have had some very good advice on here from people with years in the industry. but you wish to ignore it. from reading all your posts what i can make out is you are an installer selling cheap chines systems and now you are looking to build your own to make it even cheaper. what a way to run a buisness (cheap out of date dvrs) i will just leave you with this note Koolmer. a good installer has what is called a duty or care to its customer. i.e a system that does the job it is intended to do. to protect staff and property. with good back-up service from the installer. with cheap build your own chines systems this can never be done.
  4. Hi SambaNoodles. if you have not done pos before you will find it hard and also it would be hard to give instructions on here. Geovision do an add on pos box which connect up to the epson but you will need to start making connecton leads. and this is were you need to know what you are doing. but they is another way. ave are the world leaders in pos data. tell them the till manufacture and they will send you out a unit that is plug and play. http://www.americanvideoequipment.com/vsimax.pdf

    Chinese DVR Card

What do you mean? I have also checked Everview and Linovision, but if I buy the card from Netvision I get the Netvision Software for free with the card and I just mentioned before that the Netvision Software is the best one I have found for Hikvision cards. Besides that Netvision is not more expensive than the other Hikvision suppliers, but deliver better Software (imo). I have been working with Comart DVR cards for a few years, but the Comart Software is really poor compared to Netvision. I havent tried Geovision or Avermedia - they are just too expensive with hardware encoding. Why pay 2500$ for a card from Avermedia if the Hikvision card does the same for 560$? Better support? I can buy 3 Hikvision cards instead of 1 Avermedia and still save money.[/quote $2500 for avermedia card. avermedia dont ask anywere near that price someone has been giving you bad advice. and the aver does alot more than the cards you have been looking at.

    Chinese DVR Card

well the forum is a place to get advice and i have given you mine. and it sounds like you have not built a dvr before. but you still wish to buy from china. they has been alot of people who come on the forum after buying cards from china and ebay only to find the best place for it is the bin. other problems you will have are / does the pc you are going to add the card to have the spec for the card/ cards have to come with the drivers for that card (if not just bin it) then software and manual (oops yours will come in chinese) munchoa you say , I know support could be a bit of a problem you will get no support once they have your money its not there problem.

    Chinese DVR Card

Hi munchoa. looking to buy cheap will only be the first of many problems. and remember they are 1000s of clone cards about. even more of a problem. you say you would prefer chinese. thats fine if you are in china. and you speak the lingo. but if you dont THINK OF SUPPORT when you start to build your dvr and you get into problem who are you going to call. pay a bit more for your card from a good supplier. it will save you time and alot of money.

    new dvr

if you are in the uk you will find this to be a good price.http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=70
  9. if you wish to remain friends with your customer then stay away from installing that system. you would be best spending as much on the dvr as possable and adding to it over time. remember cheap systems are cheap and dont get better. the other option would be to install just 4 ip axis cameras. or the mobotix q24.

    need more ir light

Hi prosniper. the camera you have listed will not do what you are looking for(it is good for close-up images) for what you need the camera to do you will not get from maplins. if the distance is 20m away then i would look at a 50 to 70m range ir camera with varifocal lens. with around 540tv lines colour/650tv lines in black&white. i use this type all the time. http://www.koreacctv.com/eng/images/item/571_n.pdf

  15. hi apple. i am in doncaster thursday next week then upto richmond. i could spare an hour with you. let me know.
  16. orange will change your ip every day so if they dont give you a static ip then you will have to set up a ddns account (most are free) to hold your ip address. if you are not used to networking you will find it to be hard work. what part of the country are you in. ???
  17. first of all you need to learn port forwarding. but i am not shure if orange will give you a static ip. please give them a call. here are the instructions to port forwarding. on your router. http://portforward.com/english/routers/port_forwarding/Inventel/DV4210-WU/Echolink.htm
  18. can you tell me what model from maplins. and what type of router do you have. so i can send you the info.

    Mac question....

yes it does. the pos is built into the dvr it is not an add on. so it is always on the screen. or you can hide it from the staff and only showing on your laptop.

  21. Hi suky see you have changed your company name again. mmmmmm and a high speed dome on a jet aircraft Stop trying to sell your products and read the posts and try to help Lol, you are quite professional on trying to sell your products and to help. i dont try to sell on here suky. you try to sell your company. (sorry)companys cheap crap on every forum..........you have just been thrown of cp forum. if you like i can post your company feed back on here if you like but then i dont think you would sell anything anymore. IRCCTV has come on to the forum to ask for help in a camera that might do a job he needs. (i dont think a 320tv line camera on a stick at the end of a runway is what he is looking for) IRCCTV have a look at this link and give them a call proper camera company. http://www.avigilon.com/products/samplefootage/

if you can build one yes. but its not that easy and you will have storage problems plus your staff will start to play with the pc. the sa dvr 1t h/d will give you 21-30 days and you can look it down. plus you say you want pos for tills. much better to set up on the sa dvr if you are doing it yourself.

    anyone attemped buying over seas?

i am in england and also thought of buying direct. what a big mistake. all the companys on security global. say they manufacture. BULLS##T. before i bought from china i whent to see the manufactura in china. very helpfull. picked me up from airport after long flight took me to a nice hotel. next morning the ceo picked me up from the hotel to take me to see his manufacturing plant. 40 mins into the drive he does a u-turn drives for 5 mins and u-turns again back the way we came. i said are you lost he said he thought it was up this street...........your the ceo of a big manufactura in china and you cant find your own factory. let say i did not part with any money. if he cant find his factory how is he going to look after your orders. other stories of people buying from china are 100 dome cameras $900 shiping cost $1800 you dont find out about shipping cost till you go to pic them up. but i do bring in all my cameras now 560tv line 5 year warranty and in the last 12 months i have had to send only 3 back. i used to buy this type of camera from a supplier in the uk for £310 till i found a packing slip in the box. i contacted the company and the same camera to my door £89. so yes to bring them in yourself is very cost effective.

in the dark areas you are best off using b/w cameras. you will get a clear picture. and use good colour cameras at your door entry. i would use a dvr with pos built in for the info from your tills. getting cameras right in a night club is hard to do but i have done many night clubs. take a look at this system. full internet/mobile/pda/iphone viewer. http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=86
