HikVision picture breakup on initial switch to infra red
tomcctv replied to YorkshireMidge's topic in HD Analog
Hi. Yes diy lead kits have always given problems they usually last 12 months that is the problem with them is the wire is too small and not good for amps before you spend hours changing cables there is another option power the camera locally…… just buy a 2amp power supply and take the power from the closest socket to camera -
HikVision picture breakup on initial switch to infra red

Hi. Most problems like yours are power supply related. that camera needs 1amp or above …… but it could also be a cable problem for the power and the distance of the cable can you list the power supply used and if your putting power over the coax or separate cable also distance and cable type -

It’s not difficult at all ……. yes you can look for a cctv camera which has on board SD card then use a solar panel to power it …… the problem with that option is you need to remove the SD car every time to view the footage …. Or add more cost and local network the camera so as you can connect with your mobile but again no body knows when they need footage and it’s always after the fact i wasn’t trying to sell you a data plan infact it was pay as your go ptz camera with audio in and out full solar powered and fully network able with SD card view from anywhere- listen and talk from anywhere and also get alerts to your phone with footage 24/7 what is your budget

tomcctv replied to sedonah's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi. By using your email to login means your using a p2p server you are not connecting direct to your cameras or recorder if using one. are you using a nvr or just on the app -
You need to ignore everything you think is right. 255.255.255.1 Means no host …… no host means no connection needs to be 255.255.255.0 your http port needs to be 80 not 06 or you will never connect 5 minute job does not have to turn into days

Hi. Hilook is hikvision ……. Hik uses 4 other names now Hi no you won’t see much difference between 5mp and 8mp (4K) I do know 4K hik on some systems will not run 4K on all channels ….. hik are a bit slow to the competitors that now give that option
-
Just like my first post …. Network connection problem Your not connected to your network as the subnet is wrong also your ports are wrong
-
Hi no they are not correct at the moment you can’t connect …… is it not better just to listen no point talking of ID numbers …. It will not get you connected ONLY ip or MAC address will get you connected what is your units IP address
-
Still not the case …… your router does not go looking for a id number …… infact you can change that to home or office or my cctv your router assigns your dvr a IP post a picture of your network page on dvr
-
Only two options ….. again IP address or a Ddns service ( also an IP address) to find anything on a network it needs an address
-
Hi the unit ID will be it’s IP address sounds like your unit is not connected to your network or you have a faulty network cable from dvr to router

The reason why I mention 4g When you get to site do you want to spend time looking through footage removing SD card will only show after the fact Thieves anyone can be one even visitors so record all the time. remember a camera is a information collector for the area it is protecting. so the reason a suggested 4g is so you have 24hrs a day alerts direct to your phone with video full data plan in the uk is £10 a month ….. 32p a day
-
Hi Peter…. There is a lot of options for no internet or power we did 3 big equestrian centres up in the north east before any recommendations you need to let us know we’re you are located ….. the reason why is 4g ….. only buy from country you are in

It tells you on the first line 4 in 1 so it’s cvi tvi ahd or cvbs All analog DVRs for years run cvbs so your camera that’s working is set to cvbs it’s the only format that runs on your dvr Ok rebadged unit …… why don’t you post a link to it ….. see what it’s limit is
