Well that must be magic since you don’t have a ahd dvr HD analog will not run on a standard analog dvr ….. so your camera is only running cvbs….. which is analog only here is a fact for you cvi tvi ahd are analog only at camera end …. The signal is then sent to dvr digitally over coax so if you only have ahd it will not work at all on a cvi or tvi recorder…… that stopped a few years ago when 4 in 1 cameras and DVRs came out but now we have 4 in 1 cameras and the DVRs have moved up to 5 in 1 5 in 1 meaning cvi tvi ahd cvbs IP and like I said posts back get a 5 in 1 dvr and it won’t cost you $5k
-
Your dvr won’t process HD at all no components in you dvr to run HD The post is this long because you don’t understand your tmezon are not faulty …. You just don’t have anything to run them on there is no point going any further if you don’t understand resolution or stream types or formats or data paths
-
Backwards means just that …… your downgrading your image quality and your fixed on only using tinycam as a app to view generic China app is only a viewer Well that’s a pointless statement…… if you think it’s 5k to upgrade a recorder and then say spend 100s on cheap recorders hybrids are cheap with any name …… but it is always best to buy brand names but there is even a cheaper way …… ditch your dvr and converts your analog cameras with an add on box that way you can just keep using your nvr ….. but I think your 24way nvr will have a 2mp limit
-
Why ? You are going backwards Well that also depends on the recorder and it’s limits

Hikvision Microphone Setup
tomcctv replied to Mferron's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi so long as your camera has 4 fly leads out of it and one is marked up audio then your good to go but that type of microphone also needs a 12v 1amp power supply for it to work do you have one -
Hi. It’s been a few years since anyone has been on the forum over a metal Micky camera what is the history of the camera and how are you going to be using it now. but looking at your picture…… you need to start at the basics ….. at the moment you have the heater and wiper command wires in place …… remove everything and just have the power and coax connected forget the rest till you have it working mouse control was usually setup via a moxa unit …. Then you can access camera menu via USB port on a pc or laptop assigned to com port 2

your cameras are not broken …… as well as changing the format cvi tvi ahd cvbs you also need to alter the resolution to what CVBS runs 720 or 960h your recorder is analog only CVBS cvi tvi ahd are digital analog and can be upto 8mp

QVIS (or other generic) password reset code
tomcctv replied to robby2k9's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Hi. You can’t reset the viper that way have you tried the default 123456. if that does not work you need to go then you need to click password retrieve to get a qr code. do you know who the installer is .. what area are you in -
Nothing at all to do with dahua … just sales crap It is cheap junk In other words it’s a hikvision with a kkmoon sticker put on it. With 1080p …… look at a TVT dvr …….. use that app also to view all your cameras ……. Tinycam is just a generic app no cam control
-
Hi. Like in other post ……. Buy a 5 in 1 recorder …… it will fix all your problems and give you a better app than tinycam
-
Why are you looking at tinycam options
-
Hi. Why is it important for use of tinycam. Having a system like this restricts you to using only there cameras
-
Hi you might find that the latest smart pss might be limiting your recorder try using PSS only ….. I’ll pm you a link
-
Hi it might be worth a try changing your cat5 from recorder to router how long is the cable
-
Hi yes they seem to be click DHCP and then switch off your recorder then back on ….. go back to that page and see if anything changed
-
Hi. S-video input this is usually a output to a monitor or tv if you are talking s-video input as in camera connections then it is possible you have an old Samsung system ….. there is no replacement it’s not even worth buying a s/h one
-
It is not a case of keeping heimvision out ….. they don’t need to get into your network ….. your camera network is sending data out to there server it’s your data on the server they collect Just done a search and lots of complaints on YouTube and google on that camera also a tech guy showing you how they collect your data on that camera …… you can’t stop it
-
Doing this will not help at all usernames passwords and ports are for the user to have access to the camera ….. that is inbound outbound….. does not need username password think of it like this you enter into browser…… new Ford truck 100s of links come up and which ever one you click on …… does not ask you for username or password to view the page that is you doing a outbound connection your camera is doing the same …. Once you install you have allowed the camera to open traffic in your router and directs data to the manufacturers server … peer to peer / P2P there are some good P2P in many house hold electronics like PlayStation but the owner has control and requires usernames for setup your camera does not have any off option and you won’t find anything in the camera like IP address or ports or usernames as it is done via software which is classed as spyware I think you will find there not bothered …….. but not very nice for you to pass it on at your yard sale and give someone else problems Well if you don’t ….. even if you disconnect and burn the camera ….. the path from your network to the camera server is still active you need to break that connection and the only way is via IP change ……….. you can’t change it only you ISP can and it does not effect anything on your network look at it this way your home phone number keeps getting unwanted calls from someone …… the only way to stop it is change you phone number your phone number being your external IP unwanted calls is connection from China server ….. only way to stop is change your IP address

Hi. It depends on what gave you the power loss. could of been a storm or power spike in your area or something as simple as a trip in your consumer board due to a fault in your house with another appliance but your first test is the monitor ….. either try your monitor on something else like a pc or plug your dvr into another monitor of tv if you still have the same problem then it’s your dvr also try unplugging your hard drive inside dvr and power it up see if you have same problem.
-
Hi none of your linked cameras are any good for bird watching as they are all trail cameras unless you sit one on a bird table you are not going to see much ….. you will miss a lot waiting for motion detect to startup
-
Hi. The problem you are seeing ….. black/white is a sign of wrong camera format HD analog come in CVI. TVI. AHD. or standard analog some DVRs can auto detect but some older DVRs will only allow 1 type of format i would look at a new dvr they are not expensive and look for a 4in1 or 5in1 that way you can still use your old cameras and your new Yale
-
Hi Those cameras burn well and that is your only option yes they are built well but buys need to understand that ….. it is cheap for what it is make it good and sell it cheap does not mean your getting a good product China want mass sales and $19 they will sell a lot …… the problem is they make there money up from collecting your data not only do they have access to watching you child’s room they can hear and talk if they wanted but now you have the data problem ….. even down to tracking your cellphone away from your home …. Even with the camera off the cellphone app is a tracker your name …. Your service provider ….. your email as well as others on your cellphone along with there phone numbers you can’t change the camera software because the data collection is built in and it’s put a hole in your home network which is something else you are going to have to fix once you get shut of the camera and removed the app ….. you also need to get onto your service provider and ask them to change your IP address people should read the info on apps before they use them here is the data that camera and the app collects ….. if your happy with all the data it collects keep using it but 90% of people will just bin it https://www.heimvision.com/pages/privacy-policy
