Small WiFi video camera, looking for software
tomcctv replied to Jsndf's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Ajax don’t have a surveillance system ….. they have the ability to take a stream from a recorder or camera to there cloud but you also need to purchase a comparable Ajax hub plus a monthly charge the OP sounds like he is talking about the $10 - $30 cameras from eBay or amazon 9 times out of 10 you can only use the software that comes with the camera and is a China server based unit (will only work with the app) so no that type will not run on Ajax…. Camera must have RSTP feed or it won’t work not to be mixed up with Ajax motion camera as this does not take video it only takes snap shots (pictures)which is useless the likes or verisure alarms and simplesafe alarms are nothing but toys and cost more than a real cctv system or alarm system ajax even claims it saves your life -

tomcctv replied to Romany Tadros's topic in General Analog CCTV Discussion
Hi. It can’t be done dvr file is small and changes file size to amount of data to convert which is why you only get 2-3 mins also audio is a large convert and FPS is the other problem- 3 replies

Is it normal that I cannot change the password of my security camera?
tomcctv replied to josflasfs's topic in Security Cameras
Hi like last post a bad company would and in most places is illegal depends on we’re you are in the world you have paid money for a cctv system yours is a (dahua) you must have admin writes or you have paid money for something you don’t own all you are going to get is high bills from your installer password change bill network problems bill they can also give you problems remotely and charge you to fix so no it’s not something a honest installer would do …. Infact your held to ransom….. you have to pay to change your own password …. (Dahua recommend you change often) don’t treat this installer as your friend demand he comes back and does a reset … ( not over the internet) are you located in the UK -

tomcctv replied to josflasfs's topic in Security Cameras
Hi. This is called a BAD installer Hi will have setup a user account for you and changed the admin account to his own password two problems with this …. First he has full control over your system …. Which also means he can also view your cameras with setting you up as a user instead of admin …. He has also locked you out from viewing log 192.168.x.x is a local ip ….. can you also view on a device away from your home -

What is happening here? Help?
tomcctv replied to Ispywithmylittleeye's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Yes you can try splitting the load between power supplies Twisted cable can give frequency problems like magnetic field blue + blue/white. Is twisted full length of cable but also twisted with 3 other pairs blue/blue white + green/green white - no twist as the pair is one conductor you are left with one pair not used- 6 replies
