Hi. The power supply for cameras is separate from the recorder power supply. And has nothing to do with the recorder you have a power supply to run the recorder 1.3 amp 12v (I think this is the one your looking at) which is the wrong one you should have another which looks the same but is 2 or 4 amp 12v and should have 4 wires going to it .... 1 from each cameras ( this is the one you should be changing) try disconnecting one of the BNC connectors on the back of recorder and trace it back till you find the power supply

Hi. You got that at a good price ? cable management boxes are also helpful but they can cause condensation parts of the year. Your cameras have extra leads that your not going to use .... so wrap some electrical tape around then as far as install. You will enjoy it. the trick is not to read the manual until you need to start setting up motion and other settings. first put nvr were needed ....... install first camera switch on nvr ...... make a coffee then you will see nvr has set your camera up .... then just keep connecting cameras ...... they don’t connect right away it take a minute or so let us know ?

Hi. Sales crap .... sign of someone not knowing the business. And he will not be 4K hd analog camera .... can’t firmware update why easy to maintain .... only needs a wipe with damp cloth Not heard that in years .... manual zoom ... was on box camera lens ..... we call it varifocal lens now. but with 8mp cameras you also have digital zoom in the software both systems will be more than enough for the install you talked about .... the functions you need are on both systems and some functions you would not use is it worth the extra $1.500 ..... to be honest you will not see any difference with the link I sent you .... you can use some of your $1.500 saving and also add this for your system https://www.lorextechnology.com/AY41TR-KTK1-MTK1-1-p $69 .... for two wireless sensors that link to the system wirelessly..... so ideal for garages work sheds pool gates ...... you can add up to 10 sensors in and out of your home turning it into an alarm system as well as cctv And you still have $1000 left over the reason why I recommend lorex is they make the equipment it’s not 3rd party sales

Hi Check your PM -
Hi. You would be saving over $300 looking at something like this and gives you much more features than your links...... just the multiple zone alerts which is good for pool area a brand name https://www.lorextechnology.com/4k-security-camera/4k-ultra-hd-ip-nvr-security-camera-system-with-8-ip-cameras/4KSDAI168D-2-1-p

Hi. You need to understand and read specs on all equipment and your links are old equipment so all ready out of date and those prices are crazy even the hard drive $345 ......you can buy direct from seagate for half that the recorder has limits to the point it is best run with 2mp cameras and not 5mp as it restricts the number of channels you can watch live. this shows you that it’s a H264 system and hard drive storage also shows its h264 the system ..... cameras and nvr are not forward compatible ..... if you wanted to add another camera in a year or so IP cameras now are H265 along with nvrs I would say take your time and look at other purchase options

Hi. It is 100% a problem with your app. the qr code is dead .... just takes you to a web page .... registered in October 2020 you can pass the cloud service (which is not really a cloud service) it’s just a redirect service of your IP address to China do your own port forwarding on your router -

Hi. Apart from your recorder having power supply ... your cameras also need there own power supply these are usually located in the area of the recorder can you post a picture of the cable connections on your recorder and any other boxes in that area
-
Hi. 8 years old I would say you have an analog system blue screen displaying time would indicate your recorder is fine. So I would start at looking at the camera power supply first

tomcctv replied to stevee's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi on the bottom of screen cam selection instead of ALL .... use drop down and pic the camera you want. are you connected to a pc or laptop on the same network ? that system also runs on the dahua PSS software for pc and does much more than from the unit -
Hi. Yes your right... the settings are not the same as recorder this is because you will have used the QR code for app setup which is P2P to xmeye server ...... and at the moment people are not being able to connect as there server is down a lot of the time i would set up app with port forwarding not the qr code

Do duel thermal and mp camera which are the best ..... $39.000 each but most people would give an amount they want to spend which helps people point you in the right direction for equipment also size of property...... this also helps on IR distance and resolution and distance of cameras to recorder
