Need help on purchasing a cable for my camera

It is confusing hikvision can’t keep anything simple ... hikvision turbo 4.0 is stated to be POC ... that is not the case when you look at specs .... take your model number HIKVISION DS-7204HUHI-K1 why do hikvision find it so hard to to simply add POC at the end HIKVISION DS-7204HUHI-K1 -POC same with the comparable cameras if you are installing your system coax with power (shotgun) is just the same as feeding coax and does not leave your system to being POC only poc systems you can’t use existing cameras if you have a problem you can only replace with POC proprietary systems are pointless and don’t stay on the market long

    Monitor Quality

Hi. That is the problem with a lot of hikvision.... So going 5mp is ok just lowers your fps but if you have a camera looking for plate or a important area that needs better fps then your installer is right .... If you have areas that 2mp will be good enough then that allows your system to operate better also it will give you longer storage .

    Monitor Quality

Hi. A lot of hikvisions have a limit on MP and will also require you to drop fps on rest of your cameras to go full 5mp on every channel just check with your recorder spec on its limits

    PROBLEM WITH DVR FLOUREON

One more test ....... Remove the pigtail power lead and just plug one camera direct into camera ..... If that does not work then you have a faulty unit if your seeing the menus on your screen but not cameras then it's not out of range

    PROBLEM WITH DVR FLOUREON

Hi. Your link does not work . what size is your power supply and how long are your cables . some of the floureon systems come with two power adapters but look the same 1 is 4amp and the other is only 2amp ........ Have you got them mixed up 2amp is for recorder and the 4 amp is to power cameras
  13. Hi. What file format are you saving on the PC software
  14. It’s not a fact at all ..... many people have used them ...... many manuals recommend them neather of use know what application they are going to be used for but now the op has picked something like the eagle then we now know and the hik would of been a much better option than a puplic address system it would be good for the forum if you post your advice and let others post there’s
  15. Hi. It does not matter what you use ... it would be remote via recorder as nothing was said about the application audio was going to be used for home or business. for your application it might of been better and no extra wires is to use the hik speaker and mic
  16. Oh ok .... we will put an alert on the forum to anyone over the years who have used pc speakers to remove them from there system as they don’t work but pc speakers do have amplified sound and there is a thing called cable so as you do not need to put them buy the recorder you simply extend the cable. saying can’t use pc speakers is just another way for you to start a argument as there is nothing at all wrong with using them and in some cases they are ideal

    Which security camera to purchase?

Hi. All you have listed are known as smart cameras .... not a cctv system and definitely not something you would use in a hotel install what country are you in ..... this type of install will also come under some sort of regulation how many camera are you looking for ? you need to be looking at IP systems

    PROBLEM WITH DVR FLOUREON

How many cameras on your power supply and what size is it also did you buy as a kit or camera recorder or separate also so have you installed a hard drive
  19. Please explain to use all why it would not work why do they need to be only stood next to recorder
  20. Yes it is possible only from the outlet on back of nvr ..... pc speakers are a good use for this application and as for a mic you will need a powered mic .... also from the back of nvr. As for a siren yes your nvr is compatible to control one i would use 12v siren and use the n/o connector on the i/o board (to right of audio inputs) and use that to switch the negative from siren

    Video Cables

Hi from your link it looks like a coax system one problem with the wire kits with these systems is there not coax and are very poor quality and give power problems .... increasing your distance these wire kits give problems as wire is too thin. You have two options but rg59 shotgun cable (coax and power together) but then you will have to learn how to crop on bnc plugs and buy the tools or you can buy cat5 which is much smaller and beater and use baluns at each end cat5 will carry more than one camera you can attach two plus power ....so if you have two cameras in one area it looks neater

    PROBLEM WITH DVR FLOUREON

Hi when you say no picture on monitor does that also mean no gui .... is it just full blank ? Is your monitor comparable with recorder output ... is it hdmi or vga output how did you setup app if unit has blank screen ..... has it ever shown cameras what type of system do you have analog or ip

    Indoor: Turret vs Dome?

That’s exactly what I said .... and posted about for over 5 years on here but unfortunately people think it’s a good thing along with p2p the app problem is new and this is were forums come in ..... giving information on what is happening in the industry alerting people who are doing homework on what to buy ..... homeowners don’t get warnings on eBay and the likes ......... it would not sell if they put and other can also watch your system ..... that don’t have your ip your login op asks a question it was answered there is no point making a argument about a fact. People need to know about the apps because that’s what is embedded in there recorder it’s easy to do a QR swip and in other cases can only use that app...... so again the forum is giving good information 99% of people just want reliable cctv and not all the spy software and the politics that goes with some of the systems one the market today cctv has become a home or business intrusion for a 3rd party and it is best to stay away from those systems

    Indoor: Turret vs Dome?

Point out we’re I did that comment .... it’s in your post. You know nothing about me ..... so don’t start bringing personal comments to the forum and read that part of the post again. cloud apps ... nothing to do with plug and play ..... it’s allowing footage to a 3rd party server and people login to that server not there home system. Again keep personal comments off the forum ... and again you know nothing of me a question was asked on this thread and a answer was given and the reason why ..... hik dahua Swann units contain spyware..... that’s a fact and nothing you or me can do can change it.

    Indoor: Turret vs Dome?

What a stupid comment. Because the USA don’t like them ! There are far better recorders than hik. Listen read the reports BUT when you do I did not right them. I don’t know anything about that ... we’re talking cameras not kinder eggs So in reality....... even tho it may never be used as video evidence..... I can guarantee you 99% of people would not like to be watched in there home by strangers on there own cctv. Take last week 16.000 units of oem hik sent wrong customers footage to there apps ...... so if you logged onto your app to see your home but you got images of a gas station instead ...... just shows data is stored in China ........ if it does not bother you why argue
