this is the reason why it started. the police shot a guy dead for shooting a police officer. were infact the police officer was shot by another officer. and the police tried to hide the fact. http://uk.news.yahoo.com/ipcc-man-shot-police-did-not-open-fire-164401662.html

    Samsung SHR-8082

Hi birdman. your post has to be one of the best demo samples posted in a long time. lot of work gone into the install and the demos. nice work.
  4. hi. yes there part number is apollo HD-PRO. 30fps..... remember to ask for 30fps @D1. as there is also an old HD 6fps @ D1. the apollo HD-PRO. is the same DVR as listed above in the pdf. but without the blu-ray. you can change that at a later date as blu-ray get more pop.
  5. the NEW range of Dahua is now at the top of the scale. not many standalones with the new dahua spec for the price. Full D1 30fps on all cameras. pc and mac viewing it is available in USA but under the qvis name. 14TB gives you realtime 30 days recording. but as most use motion as the norm setting 14TB will see you over 45/50 days footage. if you need more you can also add the new dahua storage box (plug and play in all new dahua) in 4-8 and 12TB http://www.qvissecurity.com/files/8678f997-5155-440f-bb7d-9e6f0120a1e3/QVISBLU.pdf

    anyone use the CNB XHB-20CS?

Thanks for the suggestion. There is nothing between the dumpsters and the corner of the building (camera location). There really isn't a good place to put a standard without it interfering with the trucks that service the dumpsters (there are 4, 40 yard dumpsters). i have used many of the CNB twin IR. and you can build the same camera using CNB zoom box cameras in a housing with IR for less. the new CNB is also expensive http://www.videcon.co.uk/uploads/files/AIR701-irh_datasheet_ND.pdf and another camera to look at is the huviron SK-P700IRD/M845AI same IR range can be controlled via DVR or remote control unit very good spec camera for alot less than the CNB. http://www.koreacctv.com/eng/product/product_view.php?ac_id=65&ai_id=588

    Help linking POS to DVR

yes that will work. just both units you need built into 1 box. just ordered some myself.
  8. Hi some avtech units are time/date reliant. try and reset your time and date back to normal before you go back into your footage.

    Help linking POS to DVR

hi. the vga is powered via the usb (i would not use that on your register) but looking at your link i spotted this. take VGA from register and VGA back to register and it gives you a BNC output. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA05W02S7338

    Help linking POS to DVR

Hi zach. i dont know your location. but you will be looking for parts like this. a powered VGA splitter and powered VGA to BNC. the problem you had with your addaptors is you can set a resolution from the VGA signal. the best way is to use a pos insert box ... then you can search sales and things like void and cancel. (if you have a pc in the same area as your DVR. also before you spend any money see if your DVR has POS. what make is your DVR.

    Help linking POS to DVR

hi. you can do it that way (display register image on cam channel) but you do need to spend money on the components. you will need a powered splitter and a powered VGA to BNC. or you could buy a POS overlay box ? you cant use addaptors like this :

    IP Siren

Hi shockwave. along with the DVR the remote software also needs to support voice. q.see pci cards have the option but not the standalone. but you do have a second option. you could use a pre recorded speech siren/ speaker. or record your own message. and run it along with a PIR sensor in the area you want to target. then on the q-see you can schedule the times you want the alarm to be active i.e 1am to 3am. optex beams do a speech. i have over 30 pre recordings if you want any. sample below. http://www.optex.co.uk/Site/downloads/3.mp3

What are some really nice front-door cameras?

door jam cameras are much better than fitting a camera direct into a door and you dont have wires on the inside of door. door jam cameras all wires can be hidden via the moldings. and they are not as noticable. http://www.videologyinc.com/cameras/ccd-board-camera-20K142-F.htm#ccd-board-camera-20K142-F=overview

    ISP port blocking UK

Hi glad it all turned out. the new BT 3 hub is a very good device not just a router. your customer need to learn his hub. you only need 1 isp account (his home) this means he does not have to pay for data time on a mobile like iphone / android or even a laptop with wifi. with having BT 3 hub he has free worldwide network he just logs onto hotspot or BT fon with his home password.

    White sceen

hi. your camera needs 12v and your lens also needs 12v (it needs 8v just for the iris to work) the problem you have is the wrong equipment i would remove your motorized lens. you have no zoom control or vocus control and no iris control you can buy 1 of these , but it will cost you alot more than a standard 50mm lens. fit one of these and you will be good to go.

    CCTV colour problems!

you would be ok IF the camera has these settings but they have nothing to set. its just colour all the time with IR.
  18. tomcctv

    White sceen

Sorry that just will not work. you need power for the iris control. if you are not using controls then you will need the cable adaptor between the camera and the lens (and that costs more than a 50mm standard lens.) 1amp is no good for that camera and that lens. remove your motorized lens and put a 50mm standard on. you will never get it to work with what you are doing. unless you keep changing your 9v battery every few days.

    CCTV colour problems!

Hi there £15 IR cameras from maplins .... not much you can do. other than buy more cameras. the cameras in maplins kits are just cheap cameras.

motorized 90m lens and you have no control ??? how are you controlling the iris ?? if you are not using the controls then you should have a ernitec cable addaptor between the lens and the camera that has manual iris control pots. do you have a standard lens to try ?
  21. sanyo have only sold there cctv camera side and battery side to panisonic. the cameras will still be made only under panisonic name.

NEED HELP WITH IR CAMERA AT NIGHT

The Nuvico CB-HD39N-L has not been made by them for a while. and when they did the IR had a bad range of 25ft. in your night shot you can see the IR is not getting in range. (you have a stainless pot in the picture) you should atleast see some IR reflect of that if in range.
  23. $2.300 is alot of money for 3mp. am not a big fan of IR inside dome cameras it always gives problems. before you buy take alook at the sanyo 3500 HD. cheaper.
