If you have changed everything i.e camera/lens/baluns/cable then it can only point to one thing. camera settings on DVR. on the nv5000 under camera settings at bottom left you will see boxes ...noise reduction / auto brightness control and night view. pick your camera from your camera list at the top that has the problem. then un tick all boxes noise reduction / auto brighness / night view. and then set the brightness and contrast from the slide bar till your image is right. remember to click OK at the end.

Hi sorry i should point out freeview in the uk is digital air to antena on house. the CTMM-10 is for cable digital or analog. and the decoding is done either via a set-top box or the digital tv. the signal cant be tapped into before decoding.
-
Majority have Dual tunners so both analog and Digital, sticking a MOD inline and setting up on Analogue works no hassles and dosent effect the digital on a settop box the arial connection goes into the settop box which inturn connects to your tv via scart. the scart from settop is now digital signal. this will not allow you to pick an analog channel as it needs to be though the RF (tv arial connection on tv)

Hi. the BT3 hub is easy to set-up. on his pc in programmes you will see Hub manager. click on that and a window will open. then at the top in the middle you will see settings. click that and you will get a screen asking for a password. on the hub you have a pull out chip. pull it out and you will find the password under admin password i.e 8 capital letters. (ignor port forwarding) that you will see and click on advanced settings. you will see a button on the left asking to Continue to advanced settings. then click port forwarding and just below that button you will see supported applications. click on that . then click add new game application. game application name ENTER cctv copy an existing game application TICK no protocol TICK any port range fill both windows with your port number (same as on DVR) dont use port 80 translate too ENTER your ports again then click ADD then apply then shut page.

but is your cctv signal not analog ?? using a RF-modulator you would plug your camera into it then give it a range or channel number. then it feeds your RF connection on your tv (arial socket) going though your sky box will not allow you to do that. all TVs (at least in the uk) are all digital

am starting to get a bit confused .......... in your first post you asked bt to open all ports ........... this will not help you (they will just open all known gamming ports). and if you are using the BT 3 hub (a customers) do not change it for anything else (you cant use the new high speed without it) it is part of the fon network. the BT hub 3 virus detection is done in the hub so you need to go into advanced settings to allow the port and the DVR ip.
-
hi. is this your new hub ??? you need to add a service and then direct that service to the port number. the service is the ip of your dvr. so when you creat it call it something like CCTV. advanced settings in firwall on your hub. http://community.bt.com/t5/image/serverpage/image-id/1541iF50950B69455F0C2/image-size/original?v=mpbl-1&px=-1

hi. yes it will work. if you have control from your dvr and via remote PC then you should also have full control over youe iphone. Eagleeyes lite or pro. http://www.eagleeyescctv.com/soft.aspx?SoftID=s01
-
RF-modulator ???? will not work on digital TV you cant search for channel.
-
i would leave your system as it is. not only will your software be out of date but also your dvr. if you are looking at making a old system new you may find its not as simple as that. many people try and kill there unit
-
hi. designsystem. if you have changed your router . did you re-add the ports to the new one. and also if you have moved from the standard BT internet to the new high speed (the new hub) then your external ip will also have changed
-
hi vincent. what make is your new dvr. you will need to insert the settings into your dvr to see your ptz. if you get a pen then switch the power of to your ptz then after 10-15 secs switch it back on. you will see your ptz settings on your screen . you need to write them down . (you only have about 20secs before they go)

Why does my CCTV always flicker when it begins recording?
tomcctv replied to CCTV Dood's topic in General Digital Discussion
hi. sold by maplins / BT / and cashconvertors. dont expect it to do much. you need to set it to its lowest setting and dont have it pluged into your tv when it is operating -
the apollo is a dahua. under the qvis name it is the first to have the new hardware. CNB also sell the same dvr its a little more in cost only because it has a CNB badge on it. also with the new apollo plug and play storage (upto 12tb) extra. you can record for months.
-
hi. yes you will need a static ip. the good thing with with BT is a static ip cost is only £5. and they will set it up while you are on the phone to them.

tomcctv replied to ak357's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
hi AK its the same all over the world. sanyo cctv arm was sold to panisonic. 2012 they will just need to become panisonic distribution agents. same manufacturing site same staff just new name. -
hi. what model bosh are you using and what will you be using for recording. you would be best posting a google image of the area you need to cover. also mark out if you have extra power along the 2m wall. can you go underground with cable/fiber
-
you do know you cant run power 2mile along a wall ??? with the budget you have .......... close on a million $. you could get a company in and still make money. but i think you are not talking US dollar ??? are you talking Zimbabwean dollar ???
-
hi. if you think going coax is too expensive. then thats the end of your job. fiber will cost 10 times more. and if you have not used fiber allow a budget for mistakes. mains power over 2 mile is also going to be very expensive. going to look at a job of that size and thinking coax,, is a problem in itself. cat5 is an option but you need power. what is the total budget for this job. there is no point going into other options like microwave or solar power.

What do i use to plug in several things at same time
tomcctv replied to quick_pick's topic in Computers/Networking
hi. something like a netgear router. you will need to get a cable router. this will then plug into your existing modem. -
We would rather implement a solution using solely network cameras, since the facility already has ethernet drops in several ideal areas. you can still use standard cameras using the ethernet (4 cameras from each.) is evey location with in 100m

i think you are taking a risk. many have moved from geo. i talked with a company who have sold geo cards for years and had a problem with a few cards only for geo to ask them to make shure the cards were legal. you could spend $$$ on a new pc and have even more problems. if your system has been working fine. then i would start to look at simple problems. how are the fans working in your dvr ....... have they gone slow it might be worth buying some new fans and add some extra .... it will only cost a few $$$. also disconnect any CD drives and see if you get the same problems.
-
hi cameraguy5. have you thought about going hybrid to get the price down. you can then still use vivotek and standard PTZ for the loading area.
-
i would check .... the world standard for TX and RX is TX = is transmit (send) from DVR. RX = receive (income) at PTZ the apollo may keep rebooting if you get a receving signal back though A+ B- the transmit
