    Avermedia SA9000e Pro

used for that price is not bad (ill give you $1001 for it) dont do a software update. press f1 and if your software is below 7.1.0.0043 DONT try to update it the 9000 pro will not work.

  5. Hi lxk716. that bracket is fine. just when you order ask for a universal ptz bracket we use this type fitts 90% of ptz. and you might need one of these to get that old one off the wall
  6. the problem with activewebcam is it is licenced software ............ you need a licence to use on pc and one for remote viewing. so by the time you have paid for all that is would be cheaper to install say a nv3000 card and it does much much more and better quality.
  7. Hi apple maplins cameras are crap. if you are impressed with them go and by a CNB you will lock yourself in a dark room with a box of tissues for a week. maplins are the low of the low in anything cctv

    AVC782 + Video Server E

can you not put a monitor on the dvr. video loss could be anything .... bad connectors or bad power unit. and it could be your network cable. but you are best of starting at the dvr and see what you get with a monitor pluged in.

    AVC782 + Video Server E

do you have a monitor on your dvr. and if so does that show video loss.

    AVC782 + Video Server E

Hi Dot Bevins. Bt will give you a static ip this will save on added set up problems. with a BT router you dont do any settings on your dvr you do everything in the router. as a BT router will not show ip addresses it will only show mac address of your dvr and you portforward all your ports to the mac address. you will need to set 3 port types for the avtech. go to firewall on your router and do the settings from there. go internet explorer and type in.... home then click on firewall

    AVC782 + Video Server E

hi your problem has been going on for a month now if it is urgent you might find it better to get someone in to network it for you. as far a video loss on the screens .... this is because you dont have cameras connected to those channels. go into avtech menu and under cameras you can switch off cameras you are not using. on the network side. do you know the make of the router you are using ??? but before you waste time you will need a static ip or a ddns account or you will spend time setting up your dvr only for it to loose the ip the next day. who is your ISP with.

    Avermedia SA9000e Pro

yes you can. but remember the sa9000 is now discontinued. in both USA and UK. so if you find someone who has stock. get it with the last software. or see what the price differance is to the http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=279 or if you can wait for the touch . http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=263
  16. Hi richuk. i think you are looking at your problem in the wrong way. you have installed cctv to protect and for domestic use night time is when you need it most. instead of switching off your protection why not just install a ECO light below your camera with built in dusk till dawn sensor. ECO lights are what $10 a year to run. how much was your cctv system. does not make sence to switch any part off at night.

    Avermedia SA9000e Pro

i have a few sa9000 out some are just on 3 years old and never had a problem. but make sure if you get one it has the new software. ask how long they have had it in the store. things to look out for new one does H264 stream on ip cameras ... ptz control is on the mouse. (click on ptz camera click control in top left of image and were ever you move your mouse in picture ptz follows) also hdmi output which is not on the old type.
  18. Hi wirralbret. yes you can if you set your dvr recording to frame. it sounds as if you have it set to cif to get the best frame rate. if you set to frame you will get a better image but your frame rate will drop down to about 5fps on each camera.
  19. can you view the footage from your dvr ???? if so your best way would be to plug a vcr into tv out on your dvr and record it to tape. ............. then send your dvr back to Q-see.
  20. for a babies room i would just use ome of these and use a night light in the room. the good thing about the axis is you just need power in the location. and pick it up though your wifi. http://www.axis.com/products/cam_207w/
