ACTi/ Arecont audio sync
tomcctv replied to bpzle's topic in IP/Megapixel Cameras and Software Solutions
Hi bpzle. this camera will solve your audio problems with ip. just fitted 4 to a avermedia pro9000 video quality with the auto motorized focus keeps the quality to the best i have seen on any ip camera and the built in mic is a little powerfull but works well. http://www.use-ip.co.uk/datasheets/312/sanyo_vdchd3100p_dome_ip_camera.pdf -
that is not a bad price for doing your own system. and you would get a good 4 channel dvr system. i would look at the avermedia 1304 net sata. the only problem you will have is remote viewing on macs. not many dvrs will do that. but this unit will do remote from most mobile and iphone and windows. if you wish a demo just pm me.

that is the camera demo i sent you the vbm 24vf. very good cameras.

Thats alright. IP would be a great option, but it would only work for some of the cameras, since many of them are already wired for CCTV. I'll have a look at the Aver IP's. Any good PTZ cams that won't break the bank? Ben i have over 15 of these installed from cnb. very good image and works straight off the avers. http://www.videcon.co.uk/product_details.php?StockID=78&l1=7&l2=119
-
Why do you think its for a bank? Here's my original quote. sorry archik. been a long day i miss read it sorry. but the aver ip wont break the bank.
-
Hi Archik. as its for a bank why not use the avemedia ip camera to go with your recorder. i will pm you a live demo over the weekend good images with sound and POE for easy install.
-
from ebay. just shows what you pay for. the 2 cameras in b/w are bad and the other 2 in colour have another light helping them other wise they would also be b/w. i am a big user of cnb but the last two installs i have been using these. the reason being 70m range ir / auto zoom on motion eclips on head lamps and alarm output for camera theft. all for the same price as a cnb. i will post images in the week http://www.huviron.co.kr/eng/images/item/571_c.pdf

connecting DVR to Internet using 3G Sierra Wireless
tomcctv replied to lomak's topic in Computers/Networking
http://www.supercircuits.com/Uploaded/products/resources/DVR%20Networking-8.pdf if it works for testing its a good sign, I just don't get why "it should never be used for final installation" what do you think ? its just the way some dvrs and some ip cameras will only take commands from crossover. you can only use crossover from pc to pc or dvr to pc and not to a router. -
what size system are you looking for. when you see things like 200fps this is over the whole dvr
-
very good dvr/nvr. the second monitor output works very good 1 screen live second screen playback customers love the way the mouse controls both at the same time. also good ptz auto follow and face finder.
-
Hi Ilk. how are you ??. what a good way to explain to your customer how important a good install should be. been trying something like that for years but they still buy crap.

I'm lost - Complete system design w/ 5 Cameras
tomcctv replied to archik100's topic in System Design
Hi ben. with you using avermedia then you have both options. to upgrade later. with regards to cameras i would cnb true day night. these are very good cameras. and also ptz cameras dont buy with built in ir. i have pm. you live demos 1 ptz and the other cnb cameras. so as you can play and see the quality. -
Hi Rainman. i would not use a ip camera in a nightclub. you have so many lighting conditions. i would stick with standard. except for the entry and well lighted areas then yes ip. and i would say use a hybrid system. but before you look at your install make sure your system is up to standard for uk. what dvr/nvr will you be using ??

Looking for a DVR brand to sell - What about Hikvision?
tomcctv replied to Securame's topic in Digital Video Recorders
Thx, I signed up as a partner, hopefully they will give me some information. Maybe I should just keep buying in China just low/mid end DVRs, and forget about trying to find there anything high end. It might not be worth the headaches... i used to buy from china then i stoped and my headaches went -
After taking Mobotix training course, do I become Certified Partner? Or to become Certified Partner there is some kind of special course for it ? you will need more than 1 training couse for that. call mobotix and go on a couse for the Q24 to start. and i bet you will come back on the forum giving people advice on mobotix. until you have used one you will never know. you have things like video/ sound both ways down 1 pair of phone lines or 1 Q24 will give you 4 ip cameras on a dvr/nvr (can you buy 4 good ip cameras for the cost of the Q24) no.

CCTV In Factory and Watch at Home, and my available budget
tomcctv replied to ganero's topic in General Digital Discussion
i aggree with soundy. no point buying cheap crap like newlifecoming (good name as he has had 3 on this forum) your budget is very low. and the biggest part of your system needs to be the dvr. it needs good recording and easy back-up. so i would say build your system in stages if your boss will not give you more money. first stage dvr/monitor and 2-3 cameras then add to it each month. or buy a good named dvr and buy cameras from ebay -
Hi Robert. you are wrong on all your comments. the youtube video only shows the camera (Q24) and not all it can do. as far as 3mp and 1.3mp the images are the same when the 1.3mp is b/w. i would go back onto the mobotix site and read about storage. you can store more on a mobotix than any other nvr/dvr. there is so much to learn about the mobotix

hi mark. in scheduling make shure everything is white and not blue. white means turned off. also i have pm you the new manual if you are recording 24/7 you need to do some settings on your H/D. but i still recommend using motion for recording. but if you wish to keep 24/7 then please see page 124 on manual.

DVR Card recommendation
tomcctv replied to Cougar281's topic in DVR Cards and Software - PC Based Systems
That card has been recommended. The problem with it is it apears to be a 4 port card. I need 8 ports minimum as I only have two PCI slots and will need 7-10 cameras once I'm done. It looks like the lowest model AverMedia card I could use is the NV7240. I was also looking at the GV-800-8 series as an option if I could find a decent price used one. the nv5000 will give you 16 cameras on two pci slots. and 25 fps on each camera. Thanks for the tip on that; Looks like that'll be a good option, and I can get it through work from one of their distributors (D&H) for a decent price. Only thing I'm a little confused about is you say it'll do 16x25fps, but AverMedia's specs say it'll do a max of 120fps. Is that spec just for the base 4 channels? 25fps on each card so you will need 2 cards and 2 extentions. -
First take a look at your recording schedule and make sure smart record has been removed. and set your recording to motion (with the pre and post record your card has no point in 24/7) also did you partition the master H/D and set the rest to data only. and stay with your currant software dont go 7.7 till the problem are sorted with it.out.
