Hi ginogag. yes it will work. but try and put a bigger h/d in your pc for better storage. to view over internet just port forward 5550 to your nvrs ip. (no software needed) to log on its the following http://yourip:5550 on cellphone. http://yourip:5550/JAVA-Viewer.html nvr and dvr ......... your nvr can use 4 standard cameras or ip cameras. http://www.avermedia.com/averdigi/Support/DownloadDetail.aspx?id=171 hope this helps.

Hi Jeff. like someone else has already said the avermedia will do what you have asked and more. i have this type below in a few holiday inns and they work fine for hotels. 1 good feature the hotels like is movment alert. (the aver will switch cameras when following people so security at night can see who is moving around the floors with out touching the dvrs. if you are in the uk i can put a link to a holiday inn system on a temp password for you to view. http://www.avermedia.com/AVerDiGi/Product/Detail.aspx?id=86 -
below is a demo of the nvr card. very good system. http://www.cctvengineer.com/page3.html
-
its a nvr capture card hybrid. its been around for a few years (2007) you can still get the up-dates for it. and averdigi has just up-dated the m/p ip camera compatable list.

Hi EPA570 I have just sent you a demo site to your pm. just enter the info into any cellphone. i will keep it open for 2 days. this is a bar in the uk with sound on camera 1
-
with using vodafone i take it you are in the uk. vodafone will not let you change any settings on there 3g sticks. plus the cost it would be about £15 ($29) a day to view your system. it will be high usage. can you not get broadband to your dvr ???
-
not 8 but you find alot of 16 on ebay. also the spec is d1 h.264. with playback in cif ???? it is just a cif machine the lowest quality you can get. take a look at the avertech or the new avermedia range (also has hdmi) d1 on all cameras real time and both systems have good back-up support.

Hi slim. just got your pm. the system you call the apollo at £184 is not a true apollo machine. you say it does real time over the phone net work. you have been talking to a good salesman. here is the real price for apollo systems they are only 2 companys in the uk that sell the real hikvision apollo. but like the other posts say your price for an 8 way (£184)-($307) to cheap BUY SOMETHING GOOD. http://www.adata.co.uk/default.asp?txtAction=selectproductlist&txtId=DVR&txtId1=Apollo&txtId2=8+Channel

JE-D9216 also known as jetview system. not a true h.264 system. not worth up-grading to ............just look on ebay. full of second hand units. (looks like customers were not happy)

Hi EPA570 the little avermedia 1304 sata works very well on cellphones and ie if you would like to try you can log-on to one of my systems just send me a pm and i will send you a temp ip. and you can see how good it is and also has sound on camera 1.
-
Hi slim. just done a check on the apollo. 4-8-12 will only play back 2 channals at a time the 16 will play 4. also it only has 1 channel at d1 the rest cif or qcif. and the other problem slim you have is in the uk the police and courts want the system to install the player with back-up files. the apollo needs software to view back-up. the apollo is also known as the zeus

CCTV advice for a retailer please?
tomcctv replied to MPSAdmin's topic in Installation Help and Accessories
Hi Patrick. with your shop only being 20f i would just install a 4 camera system with h/d and remote viewer. remember the software you have (active webcam deluxe) will also need you to have a good size hard drive in your pc to store the footage plus it always needs to be connected to the internet. you have a good cctv supplier not far from you in dublin. go and see a demo. -
Hi slim. regarding the apollo. i have come across this system a few times here in the uk. it is a very very basic system. 1 problem is you can only back-up 2 cameras at a time and you also need to stop the system recording to do this (most people forget to hit record when finnished) and you get a lot more for your money from systems like avertech or avermedia.
