It means you ONLY have a 4 channel unit SOFTWARE WILL NOT allow you to expand your system it does not have the hardware I wonder why your unit says that .......... It could be its only a 4 channel unit

Hikvision anpr camera blurry at night

Hi.. your image is good but it looks like you did not setup your region this can only be done on first setup if your in uk or Ireland you should of set to uki 2 as plates are reflective and you need smart IR and not full as it shows in your image are you connected direct to nvr or a router or switch

Hi the viper unit will do what you need. I can get you a price tomorrow mots a 5mp system with 2 turret 5mp cameras. Do you have a monitor to use ? also another big part of your budget is going to be the cat5 cable ..... there is no point you buying 300m reel so I will sort that out for you

    Sance DVR System

Ok ..... then let’s test your reason. ...... keep your 4 cameras wired and add another via the wireless......... see if it gives you 5 4 channel has graphics for 4 8 channel has graphics for 8 graphics is via hardware as card or chip it would be easy for everyone to upgrade from 4 to 8 to 16. With your way of thinking

    Sance DVR System

Why would it be a sales forum ? you can tinker with as much software as you like It’s not just a matter of software ..... software can’t add hardware. So if you buy a 4 channel that’s all you have because that’s hardware for 4

https://www.hikvision.com/en/Products/Network-Video-Recorder/Pro-Series(EasyIP)/EasyIP-3.0-Series-NVR/DS-7600NI-K1/P(B) https://www.hikvision.com/en/Products/Network-Camera/EasyIP-3.0/4MP/DS-2CD2345FWD-I cameras are expensive £100 for 4mp. You also don't need cameras with SD cards not a fan of hikvision with all there problems or with there bad specs

    New CCTV setup

That is expensive....... Plus another limited hikvision NVR it sounds good till you look at the spec .... 1 NVR with 4 x4k cameras ......... NVR will only allow 1 .... 4K camera other 3 channels 2mp. Plus the cameras in the kit are only 4mp the NVR retail is only £105 the qvis is a much more advanced system and cheaper

    New CCTV setup

I do a couple of farm shops there qvis don’t sell to end users ........ but you can go to a supplier...... one reason is not to have service or reset codes all over the net like you can with hikvision plus all there p2p and cloud are all uk bases but you can still look at specs of cameras and nvrs

    New CCTV setup

Hi. We’re are you based .... there are a few outlets to go and see units working. Your right dahua and hikvision starts to get out of your budget .... but that does not mean there better .... we have used dahua for years .... we don’t use hikvision in the uk as they don’t have a long operation period.... out of date quick and there are not many hikvision authorised dealers in the uk most are gray or copy units with no support 5mp with nvr that supports h265 with 2tb will give you 14 to 20 days recording take a look at qvis uk based company with your budget

Dome cameras have never been good ...with having a dome cover sun light or car headlights or even a torch shine on them gives a unusable image. Bullet style can always be moved or pulled down easy as most have a poor bracket turret are good and more secure and have better cable management your distance is not a problem with your budget you can get a much better spec than the annka system

    New CCTV setup

Hi. Kev. Not a bad budget for installing yourself and going ip is the easiest way with your budget 5mp systems with 4x 5mp lowlight turret would be a good option. How far are your cable runs a uk system with trip wire protection is ideal for a farm
  19. Hi. Skippy.. Can you give us more info on the hybrid you have .... Some have limitation on res size of cameras and some don't allow 3rd party cameras
  20. Light fittings not done to code .....no switch ...... good luck powering them 24/7 bad jobs go bad
  21. You could use a Apple TV box or android tv box and send video from your smart devices but you will pay more for setting up viewing than you paid for cameras what are you going to do when you switch lights off.

Hi. It will be much quicker to just enter the local IP of your recorder into your PC browser and then follow the instructions on screen to load remote view direct for recorder.
